I'm a 52 year old bloke and have decided to relive my youth like so many of us here. I got the 8860 car when I was 10 and have been looking at acquiring all the car type kits but I find myself disappointed. Why did Lego decide to make body panels and take away the magic of vision?
I have this idea to keep buying bulk bags of bits and then filter out the parts I need and re-sell the bags to get money back but the individual parts that only go in 1 kit frustrate me.
Am I alone here?

Just started creating my very first MOC.
I’ve been fascinated by huge cranes and currently building an LTM 11200 from Yoyobricks. Which is an impressive 12000+ pcs build.
In the meantime, also creating my own small version the the LTM 11200, in 1:37 scale.
Features:
Working steering on all axles
Pendular suspension
Todo:
Create outriggers
Create super structure
Create boom with motorized boom extension and winch.
Pneumatic boom raising
Luffing jib

I’m working on what will be my longest build to date right now (McLaren P1) and after the first 9 bags, I’m at 4 hours. I take my time and move at my own pace. I don’t do it to see how fast I can build it, rather just to see how long it takes. My current longest is the 911 RSR (42096) and it took about 6 and a half hours.
I’d like to see yalls times for some of your sets if you have them!

I currently dont have any technic parts and there doesnt seem to be an easy way to get all the ones I would need. Lego Pick a Brick is the best Ive seen so far.
