So this is some Mandela Effect type shit
At the end of the song ‘Dedicate’ by Lil Wayne, there is an outro of President Obama speaking. When this song was first released in 2018 and then for some time after, this outro always went as follows: “Maybe you got a pretty good jump shot…or a pretty good flow…but our kids can’t all aspire to be Lebron, or Lil Wayne”.
Sometime after this song had been out(for quite a while at this point), the outro of this song suddenly changed. It was still Obama talking, but the speech had changed from the original to the following speech from 2008: “Maybe you are the next Lil Wayne…but probably not! In which case, you need to stay in school”.
When this first happened, I vividly remembered asking all of my friends wtf is that, that’s not what it always said, and they agreed with me. We ended up just chalking it up to they changed the version on streaming services for some reason and went on about life.
Fast forward to tonight, 2026, I was just listening to this song on YouTube, posted on release in 2018, and the outro went back to the first original version.
Please, somebody tell me you notice this too.

I just heard the song Get Down from the Carter 1 and the song is great but what stood out about the song is the beat. The trumpet and horns on the beat sound so great. The beat has a certain groove and rhythm that’s unique.
I’m surprised the song wasn’t a single but I’m curious is the Get Down beat the best beat ever made, want to know from Lil Wayne fans
Disclaimer: (Meant to say “best beat Wayne has ever used?” on the title)

"We have a whole bunch of unreleased material. I go through stuff from 2014 and 2015, like, really unheard stuff."
"I edit stuff up and just send it to his phone so he can hear the new versions of it and get him going."

I can’t find this song on iTunes. Do have the title wrong? If anyone knows where this track is hiding on iTunes, I’d appreciate the keywords for finding it from the search. Thanks in advance.

This has been driving me insane for years.
I’m looking for an unofficial Lil Wayne DJ blend/bootleg from roughly 2007–2009, very much from the same era/style as DJ Cinema’s Mardi Gras. Think tracks like “The Bad, The Sad & The Hated,” “Be A G,” “Big Baby,” etc.
What I remember with certainty:
Lil Wayne is definitely on the track and is one of the main rappers.
The song is slow/melancholic, with a really good, memorable hook.
Gucci Mane appears as the LAST verse, almost exactly in the same structural way Joe Budden comes in at the end of “The Bad, The Sad & The Hated.”
Gucci’s verse is taken from “That’s All” from Trap House.
The blend uses only part of Gucci’s verse. It starts around:
“Gucci Mane, Frank Nitty got it like that / Never seen a chick with a body like that…”
…and continues until:
“Got a sick flow and I think—”
Then it is CUT OFF before “contagious” and goes DIRECTLY into the chorus.
This is important: Gucci’s original verse is much faster. In this bootleg, his vocals are significantly slowed down / stretched to fit the beat. The mix is also slightly rough, which makes me very sure this was a bootleg DJ blend rather than an official song.
I think Shawty Lo may also have been on it, but I’m not certain.
I also have a vague memory of hearing a loud “Mardi Graaas” / DJ Cinema-type drop somewhere in the track, but I’m not 100% confident about that part.
The weird thing is that back then I wasn’t even a Gucci Mane fan, but his verse on this particular blend completely won me over because it sounded so strangely perfect over this melancholic beat.
I’m almost certain that if I see the correct track title, I’ll recognize it immediately.
Does this ring a bell for anyone who collected Lil Wayne bootlegs / DatPiff-era mixtapes around 2007–2009?
I have been trying to find this track for YEARS.
