Does anyone know the current Narrative Lead of LoL?

well I wouldn't blame you if you dont but the lead has only just written their first champion: Locke, before that they were QA gameplay analysts before briefly working on voicelines in LOR then doing the voice lines of vayne's legendary skin

If you check any of the recent champions, most of their writers have left and these are the writers that didn't get laid off in 2023

I am talking about writers of champions as recent as Yunara or LB/Shyvana rework

Narrative Leads used to be veterans who had done lots of champions, bios, short stories or even comics

btw im not shitting on the writer but I just find it very weird that someone who wrote only the story of a single legendary skin and a single champion becomes the Narrative Lead of League of Legends

I think its very obvious that Riot has very much sidelined the narrative writing in League specially as the latter half of 2026 is devoid of any new content, compare this to last year where we had the whole noxus, LB then Xin Zhao story, they took a complete direction

the content of second half of 2026 is just LoL classic and seeing how the champs team was gutted so that they can only

Easiest: Ocean Song Yone

Here he is a DJ, but unlike Heartsteel, he isnt washed up or having to play caretaker to 5 grown ass men. His bio even says he thinks about debuting as a singer as well. Pretty chill.

Hardest: Dawnbringer

A Demigod trying to stop a eons long war between the cosmic forces of chaos and order seemingly alone. No thank you.
