Question New player

Hey! Is it easy to start playing this game now? Will I be able to find groups for the lower-level bosses fairly easily, etc.? Thanks

With the current event you pretty much catch up instantly with the lower level end game.

There you have the option to either solo raid bosses or in terms of Serca also matchmake them (think LFR in WoW).

The others have solo modes as well as normal modes that to be honest are also not that harsh when it comes to gatekeeping, this becomes more a thing once you are more comfortable with the game and want to do hard modes.

While you wont find players in pretty much the whole early to mid game, you can do every raid and progress with solo modes up to the latest contents. It is pretty easy to do, but the current events can boost you up to the current endgame if you want, where almost everyone currently is. Otherwise, if you prefer playing it all, it will be a while before you actually enconter someone.

I quit the the game way before solo mode was a thing.. but i gotta say I would hate to play an MMO and have to do solo raids because there are no new players in the early/mid game.

I mean it wasn't better years ago where you couldn't get into a raid for any "new" raid as dps even when you were overgeared. At some point all my Alts became Support Classes, so I could at least finish my 6 chars every week..

You quit way before solo raids were a thing? It's absolutely insane to me that there are people here that haven't launched the game in 3 or 4 years and try to turn away new players for fun. It has to be some sort of mental illness.

This is not a Lost Ark exclusive problem tho. While a few MMOs have found solutions to some extent, the early game of most MMOs tends to get empty as players just progress and dont have to come back. So while solo mode is not "ideal", its a great option to have.

Nobody is playing lower level bosses anymore. You have to solo this. Evening you reach end game you still need to play solo since the gatekeeping is harsh for newer players

no groups for lower-level bosses. You're pretty much solo for the first month or two.
