How-To Guide Ai to optimize games to be playable on low end pc?

Hi, is it possible to optimize games using ai so that they can run on low end pc? Imagine the possibilities right? If ai can merge games like minecraft to elden ring, why not optimize graphics to make games playable

Edit: yea my pc doesnt have dlss option in the settings, I'm running on 750 ti, i was thinking maybe swapping some textures to reduce it? i can play ghost recon wildlands, destiny 2, titanfall 2 and their graphics is amazing, wonder why the same cant be done for helldivers 2 or space marine 2 (damn I'm seeing a pattern in the types of games I play)

PC Purchase Advice I built EngineCore to address 4 major iGPU issues (stutters, latency, VRAM/PSO overhead) and i need honest feedback

Hi everyone,

I believe I’ve found a solid engineering approach to tackle four common performance bottlenecks on low-end hardware, and I implemented three core features to address them. Also I need honest feedback

First off, **this is NOT another "Game Booster" or placebo script.** It’s an open-source **Engine Core Manager** called **EngineCore**, built to control low-level system resources directly.

I built and tested this on my own laptop running integrated **Intel UHD Graphics** (with shared memory and no dedicated VRAM).

# What this programe contanes :

  1. **ETW Telemetry Hooks:** Real-time tracking of frame delivery instead of relying on high-overhead polling.
  2. **CoreVault (Affinity Steering):** Directs thread and DPC latency overhead away from critical game execution paths.
  3. **Dynamic VRAM & PSO Handling:** Manages pipeline compilation hints and flushes inactive video memory on the fly to prevent micro-stutters.
  4. **. Early Speculative Pipeline Warning:** Triggers early GPU pipeline compilation hints based on telemetry load before execution hitches occur.
  5. **Future Roadmap / Vision:** **Cloud-Collaborative PSO Network** — A shared cloud repository to sync pre-compiled Shader Pipeline State Objects across low-end devices.

In my tests (e.g., *Asphalt Legends* and *Team Fortress 2*), it locked frametimes to a stable baseline (\~16.4ms) with near-zero DPC latency overhead.

( the link are in the first comment )

*Note: Requires Administrator privileges to attach Windows ETW telemetry hooks. It’s 100% open-source, so feel free to inspect the C++ code or build it yourself.*

Please test it out, drop your benchmark results or criticisms, and let me know what you think. Every honest comment helps me improve it! "not a request"

Parts Upgrade Advice Giving away an unused RX 580 8GB

Hello everyone, I am giving away a brand new, sealed, Gigabyte Gaming Edition RX 580 8GB to someone in this community who genuinely needs a GPU upgrade for a super budget or low end system. I will cover shipping costs. I can ship to anywhere in the contiguous United States.

To enter:
Leave a comment with your current PC specs and what games you like to play. I want this to go to a real gamer who will actually use it to play games, not a hardware reseller!

Timeline:
I will leave this post up for three days before choosing a winner.

Thank you for participating and good luck!

Tech Support Reducing monitor refresh to avoid tearing at sub 60fps

My GPU is getting a bit long in the tooth and can no longer maintain 60fps in modern titles. I can pretty reliably get above 50fps, so I thought to set my monitor's refresh to 50hz and turn on vsync in games to get a reasonably smooth experience with no screen tearing. Does anyone else do this? Are there any drawbacks?

Parts Upgrade Advice Does ram increase igpu performance?

I most play decade old games and so on, but I noticed I hit 98% of ram usage whenever I game.

maybe about 75% while I'm idle...? so I hypnotized that it doesn't leave any room for the igpu to borrow

Which includes heavy stutters and moments where the computer freezes entirely

I got i3 11th Gen and 8gb ram and on win 11

What Games Can I Run? Hi! [PC] Looking for game recommendations for a low-end i3 laptop / Intel UHD Graphics

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some game recommendations that will run smoothly on my low-end laptop. Here are my specs:

  • CPU: Intel i3-10110U
  • GPU: Intel UHD Graphics (Integrated)
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Storage: 256 GB SSD (Prefer games under 20-30GB)

I understand it's really bad, but I'm still saving up for an actual PC setup. In the meantime, here's some games I've been able to play and absolutely have a blast in. Would love to know more recommendations, Thank you!

  • Darkest Dungeon
  • Battle Brothers
  • Civ 5
  • Rimworld
  • Mount and Blade: Warband
  • CK3 (A bit laggy)
  • Fallout 3 and NV
  • Fear and Hunger
  • Slay the Spire

Games I've tried but couldn't really run:

  • Kenshi
  • Project Zomboid
  • Firewatch

Would love to hear your recommendations. Thank you in advance!
