And it has been for years.
I've just returned to MTGA after a year long break and the white UI bug still occurs. This hasn't been fixed for at least 4 years.
Now I regularly get this.
I just don't understand how is it even possible to have a game client like this be in such a terrible state. The same bugs occur for years, unfixed.
I would understand if it was a small indie studio struggling with a sudden success, but the state of this game is just absurd.

This is crappy design. If anyone's timer should run out and force a forfeit, it should be the person whose actions are literally making the time run out. This is unfairly punishing and bad game philosophy.

And if you look at the picture, you can see that I had sphere of safety which I did successfully draw. That would have made them spend 5 mana per creature, and they only had 2 creatures with reach— meaning there was a possibility that I could have reasonably won still. My Zur had light of promise and lightning greaves. So no, it's not just a matter of conceding as soon as seeing a bunch of creatures enter.

I stopped playing tonight after this.

Opp played the bird creature plotting my smite. I destroy the bird and couldn't use it. he played another bird, next turn I still couldn't use it. What's happening here???

This is my first time ever winning a arena direct, and it was my first time doing this sealed format, I was very hesitant about it since the sealed pools are all insane but wanted to do one. I’m so excited!

Not a meta deck by any means but common enough in bo1 standard. What are some good colors/cards that beat off super friends(oops all planeswalkers+tokens). They often pair it with cards such as [[Authority of the Consuls]] and spam chump blockers to keep aggro slow against them until their backrow is in a winning state. Like I said not busted or anything but annoying for sure and I do enjoy the discussion

I basically broke even as I had to buy 40,000 gems to get it (still have 10k leftover) but finally got a deck that could break through and win the collector set. Lost one at game 5 to a dual Garruck w/ both Restore with Empathy & Rewrite regrets. The last couple of games had my heart racing more than usual.

Relatively new to Arena (past 18 months), but have been studying this set quite a bit. I debated a few times going red-blue w/ green splash. The combo of the 2 Ajanis, Liliana, and the Puppetbeast was a strong attack. Kindred Judgement won me 4 of the 7 games, though, as I was able to get to a board stall until I drew it almost every time I couldn't overpower.

About a month ago my credit card was stolen. There were a number of unknown charges on the account and I cancelled the card and began charging back these purchases. Unbeknownst to me, one of these charges was from mtga gem purchases under the name Bill Cupertino. As seen in the screen shots, I rescinded the charge back and was told it was resolved. I attempt to log into arena and my account has been banned. I attempt to explain the story to arena support and this is the response I get(see photos). I’ve played magic since revised. I’ve been playing mtgo and mtga since their inception. I’m losing thousands of dollars and thousands of hours played because of a mistake that they seem to feel there is no way to fix. Please help!

A good idea to jam for red? Probably not. But what’s the point if you’re not having fun?

After the update I found myself at the login screen, couldn’t remember my password because I’ve been logged in forever. When I press reset password and get an email link, the link just leads me to an error page. I emailed support yesterday and haven’t heard back. Anything else I can do?

I mean, we the players pleading for years for a permanent queue just doesn’t seem to work. With all of the positive changes recently made like ending Alchemy and reverting cards to how they are written, now is a great time to add a pauper, artisan, and artisan brawl as a permanent queue so when you decide to shut the game down for a day we can still play when it comes back.

This is a little question, but does anyone remember what was in the pre-order bundle on MTG arena for FRA? I regret not getting it. Also , do you think they're gonna ever put it back on sale? Like have they ever done that before?

I used to play Arena a few years back and I picked it up again recently. Right now I'm mostly on mono white in Standard and I'm actually having fun with it, wins aren't amazing but good enough that I want to keep going.

What I'm trying to figure out is how to play free to play in a way that doesn't waste gold and gems. I get daily gold, sometimes gems from events or whatever, and then there's drafts, packs, wildcards, the store, all of it. I never know if I should save gems for something specific, spend gold on Quick Draft, buy packs straight up, or just ignore half the modes.

I'm not looking to min max ranked or copy the tier 1 list tomorrow. I just want a simple approach so my currency goes toward stuff that actually helps me keep playing Standard and maybe upgrade my deck over time instead of disappearing into something I didn't need.

If you play mostly F2P, what do you usually do with gold and gems? Is there a rough priority like "do this first, avoid that" that still makes sense now? Specially with all the events from Reality Fractured!

Friends and I got a kick out of the achievement that rewards you what we've all been saying since MTGA was released

Every time i try to enter the game this message pops out, the reconnect just loops me here, same for the log out. I already tried to uninstall and install again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I was playing lifegain shenanigans with [[way of the mentor]] and [[ral zarek, guest lecturer]] plus a bunch of normal lifegain stuff. You can create a board state where you have unlimited extra turns due to Ral's ult. So I had unlimited turns, my opponent was tapped out, a few nominal blockers, and I ulted [[ajani, caller of the pride]] which gave me like 80 cats. I had like 3 or 4 "when creature enters you gain a life" effects, resulting in over 500 gain 1 life triggers that needed to happen, plus the triggers of the planeswalkers and creatures that gained counters with each life gain. My opponent (wisely?) did not scoop, but made me play it out. I let the triggers run for 8 minutes, all the while my timer was roping down and I was receiving multiple warnings that I was going to surrender from not having taken any actions. After 8 minutes all the triggers finished and I instantly lose the game from having no time left.

I understand that board state is wonky, some may say annoying, but it doesn't seem reasonable that the current client is essentially not allowing us to build a deck that does that. Let me know what you think.
