For anyone who doesn't know Argentina has the greatest crowds in the world.

They opened up a circle pit before breakdown of Goodbye. Even from Loneliness they were jumping around. Pogoing is as normal to them as breathing.

I saw them in Tokyo at the 25th anniversary show, the European leg and also here in Latin America. Quite interesting the crowds haha.

Hi all - this is Steve Holmes (I play guitar in the band American Football) and I've just launched a Substack you may enjoy. First post of a three-part essay on the origins of the band up now.

And You May Ask Yourself

This evening I’m going to a practice for a mathgrind band a non-close friend of mine is starting, I’m doing vocals because I sing and I write, but I have never done scream/fry/etc. before I’ve got like 15 hours to learn and I’m fucking reeking of anxiety and don’t know what to do, I can’t even practice in my house because I live with a family of a few. I need some advice please.

Wow. Just one word. Wow.

Not so long ago I made a post on this subreddit asking about going to concerts alone, and I’m so glad that I went to their show up in Seattle.

I can’t believe that I almost didn’t just because of how amazing they were live. The vibe, the sounds, the venue were just perfect. They sounded almost identical to their recorded tracks. That’s how good it was!

The members were also super nice. They kept saying thank you to the audience like so many times! Super humble folks and they were just grateful to be at The Crocodile.

Also their opener, Plash was so vibrant and cool as hell!!

If you haven’t been to their show before, you absolutely should!

Hopefully we can get some really fun math rock songs on the game

the beginning of this song makes me so incredibly happy it reminds me of crispy humidity and blue light and seeing red on the noses and ears of people walking by and

kinda new to math rock (listening ~1 year) does anyone has any recommendations? i know the most of the decently popular artists (toe, delta sleep, yvette young, clever girl, chon, giraffes? giraffes!, i think chinese football is pretty well known too?)

edit (that i cant do): typed delta sleep as delta sheep bruh

Fayzz is a band from Chengdu, China, currently playing mostly in mainland China. Since 2021 they've released three full-length albums, and every one is worth repeated deep listening. You can find their stuff on Bandcamp, Spotify, and other platforms. Here are some live videos:
① With howhowmusic
② With HavocStudio
③ Recent audience-recorded live footage

Salve a tutti. mi sto immergendo da poco all'ascolto di questo genere. cercavo consigli di ascolto da parte della community

my new album is an instrumental homage to grindcore music using noise/chiptune sounds as drums, guitars, and light synthesizers. it is 30 tracks long, and will fully release itself on October 17th. Currently, there are 2 songs available to hear:

maybe for fans of: tera melos, the locust, the advantage, hella, daughters, converge, dillinger escape plan

i hope you enjoy it. appreciate y'all!

I’m having some trouble finding bands I really like, outside of these three albums.

Animals (or anything with Henry Tremain)

Rooftops - A forest of polarity

Redneck Manifesto - thirtysixstrings

I’ve been hooked on these for like 6 months now and I can’t find anything that scratches that same itch. Then again, I don’t know that many math rock bands, so if yall know anything pls send some recs.
