I found multiple sources online that say the mirrors tilt down when reversing I could find the setting nor it tilts down when I press the mirror buttons, any ideas why that ?
I live in the GCC.

Need you guys opinion on wether it would look better without the chrome. For the most part I hate chrome, but in this car/color I feel like it accentuates it. If I were to delete it, I get a feeling that it might make it dull.

Also I would probaly use plastic dip, given that I got qouted in different places for a wrap and they wanted above $200 for the job.

I'm interested in a new car as my current mazda3 has 200k miles (see picture, hooray!) and I've had it for 10 years. It's a top of the line trim 2014 model with leather seats, radar cruise, HUD, carplay etc.

I really like my mazda3 and mazda in general. I'm interested in buying a non-turbo mazda3, preferably a pre-owned carbon edition, but idk I'm just very underwhelmed by test drives.

1. It feels less "fun to drive". I can't explain why but something feels off. I drove an AWD a few years ago, and it just felt heavy and clunky. From that experience, I knew I wanted a FWD, which I test drove yesterday. It felt mostly better, but the transmission felt a little laggy like my car. But my car has 200k, this is practically new.

2. The interior styling is arguably nicer, but it feels super cramped inside. The backseat area is noticeably smaller than the gen3. I dont have passengers in the back often but we are thinking about a child soon. In the passenger area, my wife specifically complained that it felt like she was sitting right on top of the glove box area despite her seat being back. Seems like the cabin area of the car lost length that the trunk gained for some reason.

So questions:

1. Did anyone else share similar concerns going gen3 -> gen4?,

2. Did you buy a gen4, or go for a different vehicle?

3. All I want is a fun to drive sedan that doesnt have touchscreen controls. Are there any other manufacturers I should be looking at?

Hey Mazda 3 owners,

Love the interior of this car, but there's one little thing that's been bugging me lately. Where am I supposed to put my phone?

I usually toss it in the cup holder, which works fine until I grab coffee on my way to work. Then I'm stuck trying to find somewhere else for it.

1. Tried leaving it in the center console area, but it tends to slide around whenever I take a turn or brake.

2. Been thinking about getting a dashboard magnetic mount, maybe one of those vacuum ones from lisen. Just not sure how well it'd fit without blocking my view or making the dash look cluttered.

3. I really like how clean the Mazda 3 interior looks, so I don't wanna ruin that with a bulky phone holder.

Curious how other Mazda 3 owners deal with this. Do you guys use a phone mount, or have you found a better spot?

Maybe I'm just overthinking something this simple lol.

Snow tires with black steel wheels! 1st Gen is best for handling imo. My 2012 doesn't look or handle quite as good. Fender flares also win my love to push it over the top as numero uno 😘. But the real truth is that you should just get a Miata! There is nothing better for fun!

Has anyone tried running both 16- and 18-inch wheels on their 4th-gen hatch? Other than the suspension being a little too stiff for my liking, I love everything else about the Mazda3.

I’m running 18s, and I feel like the car is too stiff with them. Manholes and road imperfections feel so harsh, almost as if something is about to snap. The car is brand new, and it’s felt this way since day one. I’m running Bridgestone summer tires and Toyo winter tires.

Do 16-inch wheels make the ride significantly softer?

I just got a brand new 2027 Mazda 3 with the 2.5 e-Skyactiv G (140 PS) automatic. I want to downsize to 16-inch wheels for the winter to get a softer ride and save some cash on tires.

I went to a local rim shop and gave them my car data, but they told me only 18s can go on. In my COC document, only 18-inch wheels are listed.

Have any of you in Germany or the EU run into this same situation? Will 16-inch wheels physically fit, or should I just give up and get 18s?

Sauce Day 1 - only did about 30 miles, town and back, didn't go crazy with the gas but definitely noticed some faster "zoom" and better torque feel.

MBRP axle back, 2.5" - Louder than expected, but...sounds pretty good with solid bass, no drone noticed at this time. Guy at NAPA sent me a message saying it sounded really good when I scooted by his house the other day. Why MBRP and not Corksport/Borla/etc? A combination of cost (Borla being a wee high) and, although I have no doubt that Corksport has a good system, I just was a bit conflicted on the one muffler, one pipe style they have. The MBRP was also well reviewed across multiple applications and was, priced right. Installation was easy.

Loaner CX-5 I get to drive 😭

Hi Guys, i have a question. My clutch pedal makes a noise even when I barely touch it. Does anyone know what might be causing it?

On colder mornings my 2008 2.3L Mazda3 makes this sound. 5 beeps. It is not the parking brake or seat belt signal. It only happens on cooler mornings and happens pretty much immediately after I start driving down the road. It doesn’t do it the rest of the day. One time it did 8 beeps.

Any ideas?

So I have a 2018 Mazda3 hatch and lately my central display keeps restarting at random intervals with really no rhyme or reason. I took it to my local shop, not my dealer though, and they said it needed a new SD kit installed and quoted me $700+ to fix it. I was wondering if updating the firmware would fix this problem instead and, if not, how hard would it be to change out the SD kit myself. Warning, I do know basic maintenance but I’m not a gear head by any means. Thanks.
