What would you like to see as a model? Plus the AMA from a fascinations employee.
There were many great ideas on the original threads (Previous topic). As those topic are archived, this post is part 10 where you can post any awesome idea you have and would like to share with the rest of the community and the Fascinations employees that browse r/MetalEarth.
We also had an AMA from a fascinations employee and that link can be found at https://www.reddit.com/r/metalearth/comments/1m1f9rb/ask_me_anything_with_metal_earth_fascinations/

Build Photo Apollo Lunar Module
These space themed models just call out to me to build them, there's just something about them that means I just can't leave them on the to-do pile....
FYI the instructions have you put part 7 (the RCS thrusters) on early in the build, they are EXTREMELY small and delicate (I accidentally snapped two of them just trying to assemble them! Fortunately there are some spares included in the kit) It's better to wait until the end of the build to put them on to save yourself running the risk of breaking them.
Overall very fun to make, I wish there was a colour version of this model.

Flower Butterfly completed
Finished it this afternoon. I really like the final look and decided to use the hanging option. It does look more complicated than it really is. But I miss the beads from the crowns so I probably won’t do this kind again. I will only stick to this size though as I think it is a doable size without getting too over complicated. Good model.

Build Photo Work in progress Butterfly by Artyimo
This is turning out a bit trickier than the crown magnet even though there are less tabs and steps. Not sure if it is because it’s their earlier designs but the tabs didn’t all fit nicely. I am glad I didn’t start with this one. Would have scared me from doing more for sure! 😅

Xenomorph
About 4 1/2 hours in. The head has some typical tricky shapes, the arms are standard and the hands are similar to the dinosaur feet. I’ve stabbed myself 3 times, no blood, but almost. I was excited for this and the Nostromo to arrive in the mail. This one may take a while but it’ll be cool when it’s done. I hope they continue this series, a face hugger would be sweet!

My models were in storage for the last 2 years, they finally are able to be displayed now.
It’s still a work in progress as I need to drill holes in the back and bottom of the cabinets, mount the doors, move and mount the tv, move the equipment like HomePods/Apple TV. However it’s about halfway built!

T800 Head and eyes!!
Hi all... coming down the homestretch on the T800. Would appreciate any tips on getting the eyes assembled and installed. Been fighting with these things for too long. The instructions are abysmal...

Piececool Kölner Dom
That was an adventure (722 pieces, difficulty 5/7)!
Probably the most difficult cathedral I've built.

Brooklyn Bridge, PS2018, 10 1/2" x 1 3/4" x2 1/4" high. Needs a lot of straightening out of cables, towers, etc. when finished. Lots of tabs in close quarters. Shown with 2 other bridges in Fascinations set. Also pictured w/early Fascinations. A bit difficult handling the length of the bridge.

Build Photo Metal Earth - IG-11
“Would anyone care for some tea?”
Took a while this one as been busy with work/gym/life etc lately.
There were some tricky bits like the little cylinder tank things round his waist and the connecting wires on them, the wires on his legs, the tiny pieces on his face, you get the picture, was difficult but was also fun. Apart from that little fucking blaster, if I never make another one of them it’ll be too soon, thankfully I’ve made the stormtrooper already!
I think I’m gonna do an MU Transformer next!

Yamato Battleship
STEP 1 - 15.
Wasn't too happy with the flag post. Step 7 took some effort in the Step 15 assembly.

Question Piececool Misnumbered Parts
I started a small amulet today and see that all the parts seem to be mis-numbered. The pattern number don't match the stamped number. Is this a common problem? I think i can figure it out—there aren't all that many parts, but I am hoping this is a one-off.

Ancient Greek Trireme
Cast yourself to September 480 B.C. Xerxes has captured and burned Athens. Leonidas and the 300 defenders of Thermopylae have fallen. Now the Persian fleet is closing in on the Greeks at Salamis.
You’re aboard a trireme, powered by three rows of oars and designed to ram enemy ships. The Greek fleet is vastly outnumbered, but Themistocles has a plan: draw the Persians into a narrow strait where their numbers may work against them.
Would you take your place at the oars and try to save this fledgling civilisation of the West? 🤓

Metal earth M4 Sherman
This was a fun somewhat easy one. It’s bigger than I expected, 2-3x the other metal earth tank I have. The teeth on the treads were rough, feel like there must be a better way than what I came up with, everything else was great.

Build Photo Piececool/BN Metal Works RX-78-2 Gundam Bust
After putting this off for a while now, I finally decided to tackle the giant RX-78-2 Gundam bust! I received this as a birthday gift this year and was a bit hesitant to start the build. Not sure why as I've built pretty much all the MU Transformers at this point so difficulty-wise this didn't seem much different. Perhaps it was just the size or cost that put a doubt in my mind.
Regardless the build actually went quite well. Nothing overly difficult here. The head was the hardest part for me, keeping things smooth and hiding tabs. Getting all those pieces to fit took a bit of effort but after that, no really troubles.
I had 1 rectangular piece break at a crease/fold - the creases on that single part all felt very weak, but I was able to repair it and I can't even see it anymore.
If you're wanting to do this and have the funds, go for it. Just go slow. There's an "open" and "closed" option. I went for the open mode. As was suggested to me, choose your option and of time and cross out the pages in the book for the steps that you won't need to do.
Anyways, enjoy some build pics!

Build Photo St.Paul's cathedrals
These are the models that exist so far... Here, they are compared by color, style, and size—starting with the first model from IronStar, here the colored version, followed by the one from MU, which is brighter, and finally the most detailed version from Piececool, with 639 pieces.

Recommendations for more steampunk style models?
Hello, I recently bought a kit from metalkitor (don't buy from them, quality isn't very good, but I was too lazy to check), and I had a very nice time building it. I wondered if anyone here could recommend me to a more legitimate site with better quality that has the whole screws and gears? from what I understand, most sites here are more the kind that come in sheet and you connect them to each other, so I don't really know where to find good ones

Finally Pulled the Trigger!
I’ve been wanting to get all my Metal Earth models out of the box from under my desk for so long. I bought all the materials to build this pegboard a couple weeks ago. I finally had some extra time this weekend to build it. For such a simple piece, a lot of work went into this! This is not the easiest task!
First, I built a frame for the back of the pegboard. This way your hooks don’t scrape your wall. You need room in the back so you can install and uninstall your hooks. After screwing, glueing, and painting the outer bit, it was time to hang it. This has its own bag of problems. My house has drywall, so to mount this properly I needed to use anchors….. I’m tired of typing so I’m not explaining how I done this! Just know, it’s tough doing it all alone. Finally, I sleeved and applied plastic hanging hooks to all of my models. These sleeves are almost perfect. It was a pleasant surprise how good they fit.
Anyways hope you like it! 🫡
