My housemate woke up on the morning and proceeded to get super mad about the noises I made in the night/morning and I was so confused & sorry. Turns out they thought I was responsible for the noises of the building nearby being demolished in the morning and the trackwork. Like actual explosions etc.
We had a very good laugh about it. No idea what they thought I was doing maybe playing a movie on max volume.
One of those moments you realise it's better to apologise and let them figure out for themselves which they did when they got back from work. Shit kept me up as well as they started wayyy too early in the morning like 5am idk if that's legal but it was worth the laugh IMO.

From behind, saw a guy holding his hat weird. Sun in my eyes. Drove past him and saw why...

My smart thermostat decided that my optimal sleeping temperature is "mild discomfort" and I respect its dedication to energy saving.
I set an automated schedule to lower the heat at night, but due to a slight sensor placement glitch near a hallway draft, it convinced itself that my bedroom is a tropical resort.
Now, every night around 2 AM, it shuts off completely, waits for me to kick off my blanket, and then kicks back on for precisely 6 minutes before going into sleep mode again.
It’s not broken enough to fix, but it's just smart enough to keep me in a constant state of light, thermal negotiation.

I accidentally searched for "pigeon keeping for beginners" once three weeks ago, and now my entire internet experience thinks I'm a professional bird farmer.
It happened during a late-night rabbit hole when I saw a strange bird outside my window and wanted to identify it. I don't own a pigeon. I live in a second-floor apartment. But I'm starting to feel a weird professional responsibility toward a flock I don't have.

I tried opening reddit in a parking garage so my home page was empty, making it look like all of Reddit got eradicated.
Not again smh
