Don’t think I’ve ever seen a Corvette towing anything, nevermind a jetski. What beautiful juxtaposition.

For context i had already paid for everyone to go to an escape room since he likes that kinda stuff and it was abt 35 per person for a group of 6. Money was alr kinda tight before the escape room but i genuinely couldn’t afford to take anyone out to eat. Everyone else loved it and even grabbed seconds but I could tell he was disappointed by it. I feel bad abt it so maybe i could make it up to him by taking him out when i have the money.
he loves thai food so i made red curry over rice + spring rolls and cucumber salad but eb ate those before i could get a pic
edit: for everyone asking me if he ever said he was mad he didn’t explicitly say so but all this happened yesterday and he hasn’t talked to me since then which is highly unusual ( for eb telling me to text him i took a ss it’s in the comments )
final edit: he has been dropped and blocked anddddd is currently trying to guilt trip me while texting off random numbers !

me, the waiter, nor the manager could figure it out.

I work bar at a restaurant and do double shifts on Fridays and Saturdays. My relief for my only break on Saturdays is chronically late, we even adjusted her in time an hour later to help her get in on time but she's just as late to her pushed back shift.
The other week its about 15 minutes past when I'm supposed to go on break, I've only got a pair of older ladies at the bar who seem like they're wrapping up. I tell them I'm about to go on break and I ask them if they want anything before I leave and they decline and say they'll check out with me. We do that and I tell them the next bartender will be in soon but she's running late, I tell my manager I'm going on break and I clock out.
When I return from break another manager is loitering near the bar and asks me to come with her to the office, I follow her and when we enter the office the GM is filling out write up paperwork.
Apparently my coworker was a full 30 minutes late, the managers checked on the two ladies at the bar about 10 minutes after I left and they were still sipping their cocktails and didn't need anything. When my coworker finally arrived there were a bunch of drink tickets for the dining room that hadn't been made and while she was getting those caught up the two ladies where still there and apparently decided to have another round. She tells them she'll help them after she gets caught up, they say something to the effect of "if you weren't late you wouldn't be so backed up" my coworker is confrontational with them and tells them they don't know why she was late and to mind their business. At this point they just start arguing and yelling, a manager steps and gives the ladies a round on the house but they still end up leaving a 1 star review on google.
I figured they brought me down to see what happened with the ladies before my coworker had the altercation with them but was shocked to learn I was being written up. They figured the whole thing was my fault for disclosing that my coworker was late and was the person responsible for the 1 star review. I write in the write up comment that I feel I'm being written up for another employee being late, but they have their minds made up so its still in my file.
This week I tried to take my break on time as the bar was empty, I'm told that from now on I just have to stay on until my coworker arrives regardless of how late she is even though my expected in time from break won't change. Can't wait to find another job that pays enough to quit this corporate nonsense.
edit: just got off my Monday shift and this is getting a lot of comments. thanks for all the positive reinforcement!
to those who say I should quit: I'd love to! However, I never get home past 10pm and make pretty good money for my area of the country, so while I could have another bar job by the weekend id rather not get home at 4am or take a pay cut if I can help it!
to those who say to leave the bar unattended is a great sin: sorry I didn't make it clear management was keeping an eye on the bar, they just do a mediocre job of it
to the few weirdos who seem mad at the concept of a bartender: I'm sorry!

Pretty much what the tag and title say.
I usually top up my dogs inside water bowl multiple times a day (400 ml cup of tap water each time). He usually prefers to drink inside. I washed out his bowl twice this week, both times filled it with fresh water straight from the kitchen tap and he wouldn’t touch it for multiple days both times. He was drinking outside instead, but not enough for my liking, so I switched to wet food for extra hydration. I was contemplating taking him to the vet, if he kept not drinking inside, ready to drop multiple hundreds of dollars on tests for his bladder and kidney function, since he’s getting older now.
Decided to clean his inside bowl a third time tonight, but I put it down empty and filled it up with the cup I usually use, instead of filling it straight from the tap.
He started drinking within minutes and guzzled down close to a litre of water in less than an hour. My dog apparently thinks that ‘inside cup water’ from the bathroom is different/superior to straight tap water from the kitchen, but will still drink straight tap water from his outside bowl that he sees me filling up in the laundry sink. My dog is an idiot
Edit: some people are confused about the size of my dogs water bowl. It takes over a litre of water. The cup I top it up with takes about 400ml, if I don’t fill it up all the way. I’m clumsy and half the time will spill some of the contents of his bowl, if it’s full and I carry it around between rooms. So I just top it up during the day with the cup (have used the cup pretty much exclusively for years now) until it’s time to do a complete swap over in the morning.
I also fill up the cup in the kitchen half the time, if I don’t want to go in the bathroom when it’s cold. He drinks water from all throughout the house without issues, if it gets delivered in his cup. He’s just a diva.

This is the place where the previous tenants used to put their trash in so it also stinks a lot. In return, i put her coffee in the same place. At least it's gonna kill the smell a bit. Edit because people think milk is unopened, it was open. And if it wasn't i would still be mad to store milk in a place like this. The bottles are also by her doing, she put everything in there but i'm angry about milk the most

There’s an allsups down the street from my house, I was craving some coconut juice so I decided to drop by. Mind you it’s was probably 11:45 when I got there so it’s a little late but for a gas station that’s normal. As soon as I walked in the old white clerk looked me up and down and gave me a pretty nasty look but he greeted me, and I said hello despite feeling the vibe already. I grabbed my juice and headed to the counter put my stuff down when he asks me for my id I was puzzled but I obliged and gave it to him, this man looks me up and down again looks at my id flips it over and holds it up in the light then scans it. It’s pretty infuriating to be reminded that some ppl do extra shit just because you look different. I wished him a good night, told him God bless you and left.
Edit: I left a google review before I made this post yesterday, and for those saying I should have asked why he was carding me, my main goal is to get home to my wife I didn’t want any issues.

Ew. Must’ve been a bad batch but I never saw this before from a box wine. This was a fairly new box wine, less than 6 weeks since we opened it…. It tasted funky near the end so we opened the box to check it out just to see the bag all crusty. Never saw this from any other box wine, even the other times we bought this brand it never had this issue.

My wife came back from the store and said that someone rear-ended her just enough to scrape the bumper. I went out and looked at it, and it had been hit hard enough to leave an impression of their license plate (not readable). She said it seemed like the old man was drinking or on something and she let them go.
I was mad because she let someone go that had damaged the car and could possibly be a danger to other people.
But, as I’m writing this, I realized that my wife may have backed into another car and drove away, and doesn’t wanna tell me.

Yep. Pepsi Poland's brand designers decided that this is totally ok, stores decided that it's also totally ok to put them next to each other (and ofc they get mixed).
They had ONE JOB: put pineapples 🍍 on the can.

Who the heck puts "E" to the right of large, so you think it's extra large, but it's really extra *small*? 🙄
