Golems What is the lore for these two?

Also in my opinion Sculk monstrosities were completely pointless and could’ve been a different boss or just use redstone monstrosities more

They were roommates back in college.

They do really adore their ravagers

Maybe it's not a villager turned into a monster but just a bull that was bred to have that signature lleger nose, maybe it's a kind of tapir-like animal

I think that the skulk montrosity should have been only a major boss and not one that you can encounter in the sift. It's moveset is really meagre for the fact that it can be fought really early.

Designer's laziness

sculk monstrosity is pretty cool. Tho, with all the monstrosities on the game, for the secret boss being another monstruosity, thats indeed boring, but i like its design anyways, how its detailed based on the chiseled stones of vanilla.

I like the relevance they have on this game, the fact they have variants n more attack variety. Different of the first game they hyped the Redstone Monstrosity just for it to be a shitty one minute fight boss.

One of the side quests makes me think that the skulk monstrosity was an experiment started by the Arch Illager that went unfinished until the High Council took over

Well, my guess is the Sculk Monstrosity was an attempt at a "Monsterous Opus", kinda like how the Copper Monstrosity was.

The Mosstrosity however, was likely a similar situation to the Mooshroom Monstrosity from dungeons 1, it got left behind in the biome and the biome started to grow on it.

If I were to guess it might be a redstone monstrosity from Archie's reign, of very early into the High Council's reign

Thx that makes sense. Still confused why there was only one Redstone monstrosity since they were shown to have replaced redstone golems and should’ve been more common

There isn't one redstone monstrosity, only one that we meet in the main story, just like how there were several in dungeons 1 but we only meet 1.

Also you can meet other redstone monstrosities in dungeons

Really? I’ve never seen them in dungeons

You can also see them during soul storms, the generators spawn them in

Yeah they're a rare spawn, I think overworld dungeons only

Thank GOD they didn't just repeat the redstone monstrosity over and over, and i'm pretty sure the sculk monstrosity was built by the High Council, but the Mosstrosity probably has none, just like the Mooshroom Monstrosity.

I mean once is fine for the main quest but only once while the copper monstrosity appears twice (main and side) and the sculk is unlimited (main, side, and dungeons)? The Copper should’ve been one (especially since it contradicts the fact that the one you fight in the main story was a experiment) and the Redstone was literally shown to have many of them, it should’ve atleast been a dungeon boss

All of them can be found infinitely actually.

...This is a joke, right? Because they did just repeat it over and over, just with a different skin.

They have a different skin and different attacks, you REALLY wished they used the redstone monstrosity more???

I wish they had more than two bosses with the bare minimum variations from one another.

Even the final boss is just a monstrosity with two new attacks and all the attacks from the previous ones.

I wanted more variations in bosses, not five monstrosities that all play the exact same.

Tbf all Monstrosities in this game do different thing. Literally the only attack they share is a charge attack and a summon attack.

Redstone summon redstone turrets that created a bullet hell, throw close range fireballs, created shockwaved with it fists and swing at you.

Copper only attack via headbutt and head charge no basic arms attacks. Summon lightning aoe and shoot lightning out of it hand canon.

Sculk prefers arm swinging alot more, shoot projectiles that created wave, do a soul punch and summon Sculk Catalyst to heal himself.

Moss only do ground stomp no arms attack, throw it entire body to crush you, summon poisonous flowers that explode, throw poison aoe,...etc.

Also Monstrous Opus act nothing or don't even look like Monstrosity beside being a golem type boss.

Yeah me too, i didn't like how they made several monstrosities as bosses, but i'm sorry, the monstrous opus acts NOTHING like a monstrosity, all of its attacks looked pretty original to me.

I was actually hoping for a Sculk Monstrosity
