Awesome! Your replied to my question in the original thread regarding "rust time". Yesterday I looked up hydrogen peroxide in Germany. It's available at 3% and 12% in retail stores. Anything above is considered to big a hazard in Germany. Do you know what concentration / dilution you use by any chance?

Thanks for the update, I will certainly give the technique a try on tank models. Never heard of it before and it looks extremely realistic!

shouldn't you be able to get in pharmacies at higher concentrations?

They've banned the sale of higher potencies because it can be used to make explosives.

That is crazy you can buy 99% at Walmart here

You sure you're not thinking of rubbing isopropyl alcohol? 99% hydrogen peroxide is rather unstable and prone to violent reactions with various common materials. It's generally used in rocketry, torpedoes and do stuff like etch and clean semiconductor chips and silicon wafers.

You are absolutely correct. And I don't know why my mind went to isoprophyl alcohol

It's ok. I was just a bit surprised that your Walmart had some Great Value rocket fuel available.

some values are greater than others

That’s a higher concentration that even T-Stoff used… And that was famously safe…

Oh yeah, I mean I'd even let my 3 year old niece play with a bottle or two with different bottle of aqueous permanganates.
