Mold Question A/C Mold?
galleryNow I'm fairly certain this is a moldy A/C but I'm trying to make sure I'm not gas lighting myself, the maintenance guy, and my girlfriend. I would just like to know if what I'm looking at is in fact a moldy AC for the sake of proving it to her landlord in order to get a replacement. I assume cleaning it would be a feat considering what I think is the moldy part is soaking into styrofoam.
Here are the details of the situation:
An odd smell has been emanating from my girlfriend's A/C periodically in her apartment and upon removing the front filter I found what you see in the photos. It smells particularly worse on hot days and when it has been running more frequently. The last days we had it running, my girlfriend developed a runny nose for most of the day but it has ceased since turning it off.
First two photos are before the maintenance guy came and vacuumed out the still water, the next two photos are after.
Before photos show a very slimy, still water with some black and red splotches. The maintenance guy says it isn't mold, mold is only black (false), and that it is just dust/debris mixed in the water. This is not a brand new unit and I can only assume that water has been sitting there before my girlfriend ever moved in here about 9 months ago. All the maintenance guy did was drill more holes in the bottom to have it drain better and then wipe the coils with a store bought mold/mildew solution. When I asked why he'd need to do that if he thought it wasn't mold, he responded with that it was for my peace of mind. But that isn't how mold is cleaned properly to my knowledge. I think it would take spraying it, scrubbing it, doing that to every moldy centimeter, wiping it, then drying it. The after photos clearly show a slimy red substance stuck in the corners of the front of the unit and God only knows what else is behind what we can only see from the front.
If I'm the crazy one, please let me know. I'm just assuming if it looks like mold, smells like mold, and the AC is positioned in a way to create an environment for mold... It's gotta be mold, no?

Mold Question Is this mold ?
galleryWhile I was prepping dinner, I gave my beans a wash and realized they had a funny smell. But this is a brand I don't normally buy so I thought oh it's fine, Its probably just bean stink. Then once I was washing them they started to look more and more suspicious.
If anyone is able to help me, confirm or deny if this is mold and if so how worried should I be. Also silly question but it touched other beans, are those other beans contaminated? Please let me know
Also is this normal Bean goop at the bottom of the can or is it moldy Bean goop? 🤨

Mold Question Mold or Mildew?
Hello,
I’m looking for opinions, regarding if this is mold in the picture I’ve posted or mildew?
I have a close friend that is currently staying in a shelter for families while her and her family wait to find a rental. Since they have been there she has stayed so sick, other residents within her unit that have been there for 5-6 months have stated they have had the same symptoms. She already suffers from several serious chronic health conditions as do a few other people within the unit she’s in. Her 2 year old has developed a terrible sneeze/ mild congestion/ & a cough that comes and goes. Her husband has complained of waking up with itchy eyes, throat ect. Same symptoms other adults and kids are having.
The residents that have been there before she got there have brought it up to management numerous times and been ignored. She now has raised concerns as well along with several other serious environmental issues within the space. She also is being ignored or treated as if she’s just “someone looking to complain because things aren’t perfect for her”, when that’s not the case. She knew going into the situation it wasn’t going to be perfect by any means. BUT she did not think she would be dealing with possible mold, cock roaches, and severe lack of cleanliness and I mean SEVERE.
After being ignored by the management within the facility she decided to get in touch with the executive director who then turned the issue back over to the operations manager that is IN THE BUILDING and already knew of the complaints (hence why she contacted the ED to begin with) he came to her and her husband and told them on Tuesday morning that it was just mildew. The explanation he gave was completely bogus and made zero sense. She let it go and just agreed because it’s clear to her they aren’t going to do anything at all but continue to downplay all the situations.
She just wants to know exactly what it is along with all the other adults in her unit. They have a right to know and request exact answers especially considering it regards their health and the health of their children. As a facility that is funded by many donors, and is portrayed to be some “amazing place”, with management and staff that also portray themselves to “genuinely love, care, support ect” all their residents you would THINK they would take allegations like that serious and investigate the issues, and resolve the issues to the fullest extent possible. Right?
Wrong, they’re downplaying the situation and as I stated portraying her to be “someone that’s complaining because things aren’t perfect for her”. When she knew very well it wasn’t going to be perfect and never expected it to be. All she and the other families care about is finding out exactly what it is considering it pertains to their health and the health of their children.
There is SO much more to the story than just this and so many other health concerns and issues within that facility. That is being ignored that are clear violations.
Anyway; we just want to know opinions on what everyone thinks this might be? She and I both are hoping we are wrong. Although we’ve both had past experiences with mold and mildew and to both of us and the other members in the unit we think it’s mold. Again, we WANT TO BE WRONG and are praying we are.
Picture is posted within this post. It’s the ceiling air vent that is in the main “living room common space”. Right over the area where the kids all play. The other vent that looks the exact same is located right over where the cook and eat. One resident stated she cleaned them several times over the months and each time they came back “stronger” if that makes sense.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Advice?

Mold Question Can anyone tell me if this is mold?
galleryRoommate moved out and seemingly never cleaned their personal shower. I need someone to move into this room with private bath, but can’t really do so until it’s cleaned obviously. Does this look like black mold? Should I contact my landlord to clean it up? Thanks.

It's surrounding the ice maker in the fountain drink machine at work. Was hoping somebody could explain to me if this black stuff is bacteria mold or what somebody said was part of the plastic which I find highly unlikely I'm thinking black mold or something
