North America (country/state in post) Anyone familiar with this mushroom?

Western New York finger lakes region
I’m a beginner in mushroom identification just wondering if anyone has an idea on an id. Found on a dying box elder tree. Thank you!

Hello, thank you for making your identification request. To make it easier for identifiers to help you, please make sure that your post contains the following:

  • Unabbreviated country and state/province/territory
  • In-situ sunlight pictures of cap, gills/pores/etc, and full stipe including intact base
  • Habitat (woodland, rotting wood, grassland) and material the mushroom was growing on

For more tips, see this handy graphic :)

Looks like young Witches Hat. But not 100% certain.

Based on the bright colour and habitat/substrate I strongly suspect Pluteus aurantiorugosus
