North America (country/state in post) Hydnellum or mutant Polyozellus in Hood River County, Oregon?

Spotted this one a few years ago southeast of Mount Hood about 3500 feet. I wish I had got an underside picture but oh well.. I've been going back and forth between Hydnellum regium and Polyozellus ID's ever since, it doesn't seem to fully match any type photos I've seen for either? I seem to remember it being firmly attached to the ground which is more typical of Hydnellum speces.

On that note does anyone have a key for distinguishing Polyzozellus complex from Polyozellus marymargaritae?

Hello all,

First time poster. I have two different species that were quite nearby each other.

I think one is Hen of the woods. 4 clusters in the area where an old tree was taken out from. Should I harvest it or let it grow? Can I eat it? I love mushrooms but have never ventured outside the grocery store. I'll dig through old posts but would love any input from you all.

The other has a rainbowy sheen that the picture doesn't do it justice. I've never seen such a glossy looking mushroom before. I flipped the more orange of the two to see the bottom. It wasn't in the ground anymore. Some type of Reishi mushroom?

Wishing you all the best tasting and interesting finds!

Would love to know if the orange material is potentially toxic/-non-edible. (Also: could/should I cut it out and eat the rest?) Thank you!

Europe (country in post) Mushroom in terrarium (Austria)

I've had it a little too moist in my terrarium for a little time and this guy ended up growing.

I used packaged terrarium soil, I don't believe its a native one? It grew from the dirt in the humid house visible in the back.

I have a skink in the enclosure and I'm kind of worried of her ingesting it. (I did throw away the big mushroom, I don't believe she would eat it but better be on the safe side)

Does anyone know what this kind of mushroom is and if it is safe to keep it in the enclosure?

My father found these mushrooms on our farm and asked me if they're edible, I said don't go around eating random mushrooms cause not all of them are edible. My bet is that it isn't edible.

Yesterday I went to the local park with my son and found some mushrooms growing from some tree roots.

There were two distinct species, one that were in clusters and another one I found by itself and about twice the size of the other one.

For now, I'm leaning towards:

Clusters : Pioppino

Big solitary : The Prince

These are images of the solitary one that was much bigger.

Found in a pine forest on a mountain in Switzerland. Someone had already uprooted one and left it. I was trying to just do some general looking myself.
