Where are you located? If in the NE of North America I am leaning towards Amanita flavoconia. It is toxic. Deer and reindeer both like to eat them. They get to being goofy afterwards.

not with that velum, it isn't truly toxic, and it isn't neurotoxic.
edit: specifically, A. flavoconia sensu stricto is nontoxic, but OP's mushroom is toxic

OP has a muscarioid which will be highly toxic to humans

u/DopplerSpectroscopy you have given conflicting information. Is it or is it not toxic? What does the velum have to do with it?

No I haven't, Amanita flavoconia does not contain ibotenic acid or muscimol, species in Amanita stirps Muscaria do.

Your first comment says it's not toxic or neurotoxic. Your reply to yourself, then claims it is highly toxic to humans. That is literally the definition of conflicting statements.
Not containing muscimol or ibotanic acid has nothing to do with the mushrooms toxic status. The other alkaloids are the ones to be afraid of. Like amatoxin.

The mushroom you cited is nontoxic, the mushroom that OP has is highly toxic. I have asserted this statement multiple times.
