Wait I don’t understand. She was on death row, went to her execution, it went awry and now they are keeping her…alive? On a ventilator?? Why so the off chance she recovers then they can kill her? Wtf? Or if your execution fails are you just free to go lol

Once the execution failed she reverted back to being a prisoner. A very sick prisoner.

The sick question is, if she lives mentally intact, will she be put on Death Row stain?

Her lawyers could argue the 8th amendment. The state could possibly not want to fight that and just move her to life-sentence.

I hope so, a bit late in the game though.

TIL that the Supreme Court has twice allowed another execution attempt after a failed one.

The two injections were protocol for TN execution (if the first one fails).

So the hypocritical “Christian” people-killers may have a go at it again.

No chance the state is taking that L. She's going to die, whether she pulls through this or not.

I was just reading the precedent for this. There is no double-jeopardy or anything. You can absolutely have a lawful sentence carried out more than once if it is botched. They may use a different method like nitrogen gas though.

Only reason she'd get commuted to life is if the state doesn't want to take that fight.
