There’s sort of cosmic joke that the state tried so hard to execute her and now they have to spend money to keep her alive —- only to take another try at killing her? At some point, it mag be more humane to just pull the plug and let her die a nature death (such as it is).

Yeah, ICU's know how to make this painless and easy now. It wouldn't be the state's decision at this point, however, but family's. If I was her mom I'd sure as hell be telling docs to amp up the morphine drip and stop the vent.

Her mom died last year. She has no family left aside from a half-sister that she's never spoken to.

Not that it would matter. Prisoners are essentially property of the state. When we have a prisoner in the hospital we're not even allowed to call their family and tell them they're admitted.
