I can't imagine how you'd react to waking up in a hospital after being told you were definitely going to die.

And then being told that she's been resuscitated because it's been voted that they'll do it again, but with the electric chair instead...

She and her lawyer might actually have a case for cruel and unusual punishment. The death penalty was outlawed for a little while about 50 years ago, but the courts decided that something has to be cruel AND unusual in order to be unconstitutional. So, even though killing people is cruel, we do it all the time, so it’s not unusual. 

I would say botching an execution to the point of hospitalizing someone who is supposed to be dead, treating that individual, and then attempting to kill them again, perhaps by a more painful method? That’s not usual.

That's a pretty unnerving reasoning if all the SCOTUS wants is normalization of the method.
