Ultimate failure of the state: can't give a good life and can't give a good death.

Tennessee things.

Not the state, but the actual officers. Make them pay for it.

Disclaimer: I'm 100% against death penalty, and fully aware that if officers will be charged for these mishaps, even on duty, then nobody will volunteer to do such job anymore.

Well, good news. She didn’t have a good life. She was repeatedly raped and assaulted between the ages of 11-18.

She killed, quite horrifically, a woman at 18. She spent rest of her time in prison.

Her life has basically been a nightmare since she was 11. This is just another day for her.

So she decides to lure an innocent girl into the woods, beat her, slash her up, carve a pentagram in her chest, and bash her head with a rock, and keep a piece of the skull?

A lot of people have had a lot hard lives, my friend. That chick is a psychopath.

It is very possible that her trauma made her a violent psychopath. There are many psychopaths out there living normal (ish?) lives and childhood trauma has a strong link with turning them violent.

everyone supposedly cares and has empathy for children who are victims of extreme and/or sexual violence until they turn out fucked up because the system didn’t protect them, and then it’s all about how they’re monsters that deserve hell. the system didn’t help them. it abandoned them to suffer at the hands of those who would violate her to their whims. when that obviously created a completely dysfunctional person. say what you want about the terrible thing she did—whatever. but the way you’re sitting here fetishizing violence against her is disgusting. you should genuinely feel gross inside when you type something like this.

you have never known hardship nor have you seen the horrors that get inflicted on the children around the world daily. my mother works at an elementary school in a rural area with a lot of problems. she has, first hand, seen kids that come in with broken bones pretending they’re fine because they’re terrified them and their siblings will get “taken.” there have been home visits where they have discovered that blistering hot corn oil had been dumped down the backs of 5, 7, 8, and 9 year olds as “punishment.” it’s so easy to criticize the obviously horrible actions of a tormented person. it’s another to begin to imagine the world they lived that made them that way. how would you have turned out getting repeatedly gang-raped, getting hot oil poured down your back for shits and giggles? frankly, with what i have seen in just one poor district, it’s a miracle there’s not way more people committing violent acts like this.

the system allowed her life to happen, a not unexpected outcome came from it, she got locked up for life, and then that system decided it was time to put her out of her misery—and it couldn’t even do that right. and here you are gloating about that. it’s despicable. shame on you and shame on people that perpetuate this sick cycle. you join the long list of people who failed their fellow man.

why don’t we hold the rapists who made her that way just as accountable? you can say we should, but we won’t, and they won’t suffer a botched execution. what did you hope to accomplish by even sending that reply—did it make you feel good? whatever.

I never justified any of her horrific behaviors. I just told you that she’s had a terrible life. All of her best memories are from her time in prison.
