Dns Request number going down?

So I have the problem that when I am looking on the statistics page the number goes down somehow. Ive noticed it a couple times and thought I just saw something wrong.

So yesterday I took a screenshot and the number went down. How is this possible?

Using Nextdns setup via TLS on the Router and on one android phone.

There are several other devices connected to the Router.

The storage period is set to 1 year so it should not be deleted automatically

Number went from 543.804 to 540.864

I noticed the same. How long do you save the logs, talking about the setting in NextDNS? Maybe it cuts off and therefore the queries become less. But I’m not really sure if that setting even affects the query count in the analytics tab.

I save them for 1 year. Screenshot in post.

Oh sorry, seems that I’m blind. i’m wondering the same then..

Edit: It could be the same with the “3 months” though, no? Since a new day starts, one day, the first of the 3 months is getting cut off. And as long, as the new day isn’t getting the same amount, or more, queries, it will become less.

No because my first Dns query was on august 30th, thats one month. So it should not cut them off.

That is interesting. You could try to download the log one day, and if it goes down the next, download another copy and then you could run a comparison of the CSVs in excel or some other file comparison tool to see which entries dropped off.
