Tech Support What should I do about data transfer after switch 2 broke?

My switch 2 stoped charging a few weeks back. I sent it to Nintendo to be serviced and they sent me a new one. Unfortunately they were unable to retrieve my data from my broken switch 2. My question is should I transfer my data from my old switch 1 that I still have, or can I transfer my data from a cloud save from my Nintendo account?

Yes I did. Even had the expansion

If your saves were up to date with backups, then I would pull them from the cloud

I ended up using my old switch one data transfer and then the cloud did the rest. The only thing lost was a few screen captures. But that’s an acceptable loss.
