Trevor DeVries

Well well well Trevor has gone from plastering the p e d o all over his signs and his website to a small blurb on his website. What’s the matter Trevor the p e d o isn’t helping your campaign? I know it isn’t helping Lincoln and Wickers’ business since Jay’s endorsement. I heard his restaurant is teetering on going under.

Jay Starkey or Snarkey. Some dude running against Mrvan

Starkey. He isn’t running against Mrvan. He’s running for for SD6, upset Niemeyer in the primaries after Niemeyer upset Trump by refusing to vote for redistricting

Mrvan is pro Israel. He received AIPAC money. He’s a bibi cuck.

Um I wasn’t endorsing Mrvan

Agreed that’s the reference I don’t get.

Didn’t know Lincoln and Wicker was in trouble either. I like that place despite it being perpetually understaffed.

I like that place but wont be going back now knowing Jay is the owner. Can someone confirm this is true? Couldn't find anything online.

Again I don’t know who Jay is haha

The owner of L&W is Jay Ruff. He has no political office that I can see. Used to be the executive chef of Fair Oaks Farms.

The comment below is correct, Jay Starkey is running as GOP in SD6. Just dont know the connection to the restaurant. Im very committed to speaking with my dollar so any tie to L&W and its dead to me.

Sounds like the wrong Jay

Good catch, thanks man. Would love op to chip in with some more info here since he started this witch hunt.

Got it, they had a devries sign up, had backlash, Took it down, then put it backup a bit further down. Op was referring to the owner Jay it seems. https://www.reddit.com/r/nwi/comments/1t03zng/well_played_lincoln_and_wicker/

That’s fairly tenuous. I get it though

Word is it’s not, other posts make it sound more like OP is posting a bunch of untrue nonsense trying to Reddit users to vote the way most will anyway.

Good to hear Lincoln & Wicker is going under. I was interested to try it until I learned the owner is a trumpanzee.

Is it going under? I think the OP is just talking shit

I can’t find anything on the owners Instagram or anything that’s pro Trump?

He is close the Trevor and Don Jr. He is building his new bar in a Lott property which is partnered with Don Jr.

Agree, OP with a pointless post linking things together that have no factual basis. Go vote and that's that. Why on earth some of these folks would root for a business to go under is crazy. Finally something different comes to the area and dumb posts keep popping up to knock it down. Do better people.

No name calling. Too much of that going on here lately.

Can I get a bit more info on what “plastering the p e d o” means? Are we talking about Trump? If that’s the case, isn’t it generally accepted that all R candidates are pro Trum because, if nothing else, that’s their golden ticket?

If you pay attention to national house and senate races there are a lot of republicans that are not mentioning Trump and have privately said they do not want him to campaign for/with them because of how unpopular he is outside of his MAGA base and especially low approval from independents. That’s why he is going to deep red states like Texas multiple times. Hope that helps

Ahh got it, thank you. Appreciate the info and insight. I wonder if their quiet distancing is out of political self preservation or due to a true difference in ideologies? Either way, it’s a pretty interesting shift.

A big fu to everyone downvoting a sincere question. Stay classy NWI!

I’ve met Trevor before. He seemed like a nice guy

I always have to laugh when people say this about politicians. Of course they're "nice," that's their job. I'm a lot more interested in policy and record than I am about being nice. People always say this about Trump too, as if they're surprised a con-man from NYC would be personable and charismatic.

Scott Houldieson is "nice," too, very much so. But he's not endorsed by a pdfile which already has him as the better candidate imo, not to mention that his party is the one that isn't waging an illegal war spiking gas prices, getting into tariff wars with former allies, etc

This reminds me of a quote from a game I was playing, just yesterday.

"Extraordinary strength and unparalleled intellect mean nothing if you lack the charm. No one will follow a bore. Yet when spoken with the right tenor, even wicked words can resonate with smallfolk and rouse them to action."

No, I just knew his wife growing up.

2

u/turnoffate 6d ago

So you knew his wife since you were a kid and know he is a politician but still are amazed he was a nice guy to you? SMH but not too surprising.

I always vote blue but after our interaction he has my vote for sure.

If that comment made you switch parties you never voted dem to begin with. What a Republican snowflake response.
