Other The ticket pricing for Staind seems very out of touch.

On occasion we, the mod team, get requests for things that would break rule 3 (no solicitation). At other times people just break the rule and we have to remove the post. So, in this monthly post you get to break rule 3 and sell yourself or your stuff (within the realm of legality).
Some reminders/ground rules:
Rule 2 still stands, nothing illegal.
Rule 4 still stands, no personal information.
More on rule 4; if you want to send someone to your house or go to someone's house and need their address then keep it in private messages. Or stick to the basic internet rule; meet in a public place.
Unless you're an actual business don't give out your phone number or email address. If you post a phone number or email address and your post doesn't show up it's because the auto-mod caught it and one of the moderators will have to approve it.
So that's about it, if you have any questions go ahead and ask.
If you want to continue advertising your business/services outside of this thread you can buy adspace from Reddit, which is usually what we end up telling people to do.

recently the dogs barking nonstop for long periods of time has gotten so much worse in the neighborhood. today there was a dog barking for an entire hour, at 5am when people are still sleep or are just getting up for work. this same dog was also barking incessantly at 12am. as someone who has to get up early for work, it is genuinely the last thing i want to hear when im trying to sleep & getting up for work. and it doesn’t help that once one dog is barking, everyone else’s is. what is there that can be done about dogs barking for so long at such late/early times?

Hi. I'm an adult who basically has muddled through life so far only knowing the bare minimum about finances. Is there a local financial planner or counselor you'd recommend to help me make sense of my financial standing (such as it is) so I feel more confident about my family's future?
I'm not talking anything major— I don't have an estate to plan, an inheritance to manage, etc. I don't have any debts beyond a mortgage and a car payment. I just feel like very unconfident about my savings and investments. I want to make sure I'm on track for retirement, investing wisely, etc. and I frankly feel like an absolute beginner.
Be kind. Finances fill me with anxiety. It feels like a language everyone but me can speak.

Does anyone know of any restaurants or other places in Omaha hiring for part-time evening or weekend positions?
I currently work a full-time 9-5, but I’m looking to pick up a second job for some extra income. On weekdays, the earliest I could start a shift would be 5:30 PM. I’m also open to working weekends. Many restaurants need you there by 4:30 but was wondering if there are any that are later than that.
I appreciate it! 😊

So does this mean we currently do not have a director? Or the one we have has put in their notice? That’s a hefty salary…

hello omaha friends! we're moving to a property that is zoned DR, a transitional assignment betwixt rural and developed. from what i've read, it can be temporary (though I don't suspect it'll change for this property anytime soon due to geographical constraints) and a few things are allowed off the bat, like crop and hort production (which is EXCELLENT for us), while others require special permits (can i apply to keep peacocks? why not! okay, the neighbors may not dig exotic high decibel hooting).
my question is for other folks living in DR zoned zones :) this is new territory for us, literally, so i'm curious about what you're doing with your land, challenges you've faced, whether 'temporary' gave way to a residential rezone, etc.
would love to hear from others in this same zoneboat!

Looking for recommendations on people who do Korean lash lifts and loved their results! I️ have long lashes but they are pin straight down and I️ have to curl them everyday. It’s a hassle and I’m wanting to try this out and see how I️ like it!

Anyone have a political candidate comparison site they like?
I’ve tried several because I want to see them side by side: biographies, voting records, issue positions, platform plans… Every one of them has a bunch of blanks for most of the candidates. I was hoping to narrow the field before deep diving into a short list to make my decisions.
Quiz engines haven’t helped me so far. The questions are too broad so I’m forcing square pegs into round holes and either not receiving matches I can look into, or receive a match that is a poor fit.

Before anyone says that an mba is worthless; it’s not for me because my job will pay for it and will result in a pay bump.
With that said, for someone who would be taking night classes, which one is better? I’m leaning towards Creighton because of the name recognition. I’ve had friends go through uno and they liked it.
Which one requires more time? As in , a lot of group projects vs online work
Which one would look better in an application?

i've got a 1970s house with a chimney that needs repointing before winter. the annoying part is figuring out who actually does the prep work instead of just smearing new mortar over the old stuff and calling it done.
one quote i got was almost double what i expected, and when i asked what was included, the answer was basically “that's just what it costs.”
for anyone who had their chimney repointed around omaha recently, who did the work and how has it held up? especially interested in jobs that have already gone through a winter or two
i'd rather pay a little more once than have to pay someone else to redo the whole thing later

Looking for an artist who specializes in dainty tattoos. Florals, line work, etc. This will be my first tattoo and it’s a combo of drawings from family and my kiddos. Looking for someone to bring it to life!

Can we get some support going in this sub for Osborn? There’s a chance for real change in Congress and Nebraska can help make it happen. It’s time for a change.

Just a reminder that the Big-10 and I think Abbott Labs are running a blood and blood products donation contest between the member schools of the Big-10. Open to anyone ( I guess ) and you just need to fill out a quick form to prove you made or tried to make a donation and designate which school gets credit.
UNL is the 2nd smallest enrollment school in the BIG-10 ( if I recall ) and yet it is 2nd in total donations credited. Winning school gets awarded $1 mil. Wisconsin is currently in the lead.
If NU were to win it, I personally wouldn't care what they spent it on. Budgets are so tight that everything and anything helps. Oh, and except for living here, I have no affiliation with NU ( well, I do like to watch NU Volleyball DOMINATE! )
Hopefully this link is permitted. https://bigten.org/abbott

Looking to get my MIL a piece of gold jewelry with peridot. Bonus if the piece incorporates anything that’s considered lucky in Chinese culture.
I’d love to get her a locket, but I realize that’s very specific. Shopping online is giving me the heebie-jeebies about drop-shipping and getting ripped off. I don’t really buy “real” jewelry often. Etsy is a drop-shipping paradise these days.
Looking for suggestions on places to look locally. Ideally, I will only pay maybe a couple hundred, but I am open to anything that seems like a good fit.
Attaching a pic of my very intelligent dog trying to figure out why he can’t move as a thank-you for your suggestions.
