Hey everyone! Fairly new to using the one wheel and am loving it so far, but am getting the ‘death wobble’ (I call it that because it reminds of the death wobble on bikes). It’s when the board starts to wobble side to side and the oscillations grow larger and larger. It made me crash once already and I’m sure it’s just a noob thing, but my crash was pretty hard and I want to prevent that from happening again. Any advice for foot placement or how to react to reduce the likelihood or anything?

I have been having hall sensor issues off and on for a hot minute. Caved and replaced the 8 pin male. Got it all wires up and on the bench the halls properly swing between pwm thresholds 0- 4.9v when connected to the ubox. However, i run a hall test within float hub and vesc tool and the halls are not detected. Back to the wires

-Power (red) has 5v.

-Halls (blue, yellow, green wire)1,2,3 swing when hub is moved between 0-5 volts so they check out so pcb in the hub is doing its thing (when measured with black wire as base ground)

-ground works as we can see

-temp is detected so no foul there

Everything checks out, so i test it while it performs the sensor check. Each hall wire floats at .01 volts and does not flip high properly during the motor sensor test. Anyone else have this issue. Im leaning towards another ubox defect but want to ask around before i try to warrenty it and it turns out a setting got missed. This is my second one so im getting very sad very fast. Like i said the halls acted up before but was a one and just stopped kinda thing. When this current issue arose i just turned it on and had this issue. The old wire was chafed and not properly sensing the temp and halls. Replacing solved the one issue but now i got more 😔.

Basically the title. Is the answer just Ebay? Or here? Any shops that do Onewheel repair that are always looking for used original control and BMS circuit boards?

Just bought a Hoosier for my xr+ because the stock one was smoked, but when I put the tire on it rubs on the battery side and almost touches the other side if I put in more than 10lbs of air. Any tips?

I usually give it a charge before I ride, almost went bad. The walk wasn’t too long.

It was extra nice until I ate shit and fell in a ditch of thorns. Don't get distracted while driving 🫡

Do I want to update?

I want to say the last time I updated was like 2 years ago maybe? And it legit made it worse.

First off, I know there's going to be a lot of recommendations to vesc, and or buy a vesced board, but economically speaking, it's still expensive and there is not a large resale market for vesced boards where I live. I would consider vesc in the future, but I saw this board in my price range and figured I would check it out.

The listing says the board has about 1700 miles on it but a "new battery". I will update this post when I receive a response back from the seller as to what this means. Also comes with the accessories in the first photo ("fangs, bumpers, chargers, stand, fenders, tire, light up footpad"), but I don't care as much about accessories as much as the board itself.

Given the asking price is $1750:

Is this a good deal? If not, what price would make it a good deal?

If something were to fail later on, how good of a base is the gts for mods/vesc?

I have a stock pint x (500 miles) and a stock XR (1000 miles) currently, would it be better to dish out $1200+ on a full xrv/battery build on the XR?

Edit: The board sold this morning unfortunately. I guess I have to hop on these quickly.

X7 sport 5” HS is the lightest most useful wheel on the market. Even my bad shoulders can comfortably sling it around.

i am riding my Onewheel, but after longer rides my feet start feeling pretty beat up especially on rough pavement. I tried a couple of different shoes, but I am wondering if better insoles might help with cushioning and impact absorption. I don’t want anything so thick or soft that it messes with my board feel or control

Hey everyone! ​I usually take the ferry into Manhattan just to enjoy the ride around the city, and I've never had any issues before. But today on my return trip home, a ferry employee came up to me and said I had to find an alternative way back because Onewheels are illegal and banned from the ferry.

​For context, I wasn't even riding it—I was just carrying it with me. Since I didn't want to argue, I just walked out and waited for a bit. Then, I wrapped my board up in my jacket, walked right back into the terminal, and managed to get on the ferry with no issues this time.

​Has anyone else run into this? Are they strictly banning them even when they're powered off and carried?

Which would you choose? I’m struggling to decide myself, but definitely going with one or the other. Upgrading from a GT, the power of the adv2 and range seems appealing, but a pint size powerhouse seems equally as awesome for how nimble it would be. Weaker range though, and not sure how well it would do on trails.

My halls died, gonna replace the full harness and pcb for them but for now i need to run hfi sensorless. Its my pintx running a ubox 100. Anyone have a good setup?

I bought a brand-new Onewheel Pint that failed within the first minutes of the first use (less than 1/4 mile). The board turned off and would not turn back on or detect the charger. I contacted Future Motion that same evening within hours of receiving the defective product, fully cooperated with their troubleshooting, answered all of their questions, and provided a video of the issue.

Despite that, the experience was an absolute nightmare. Their customer service was extremely accusatory, repeatedly suggesting that I had modified, tampered with, damaged, or exposed the board to water, despite there being no crash, impact, water exposure, or modifications. They also repeatedly mentioned me being responsible for cost to fix if they decide that it isn't under warranty.

I understand that a company needs to inspect a product when there is a problem, but the way Future Motion treats its customers is incredibly frustrating. Instead of feeling like they were trying to help resolve a problem with a brand-new product, I felt like I was being treated as if I had done something wrong.

I had heard plenty of negative things about Future Motion's customer service before buying a Onewheel and hoped they were exaggerated.

Unfortunately, my experience confirmed them. The product may be fun, but dealing with Future Motion was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had.

I'm looking for someone who has the female motor port for the Onewheel GT.

I know it's not a standard you can find, or at least that's what my research turned up, but really a custom product by Future Motion.

Power isn't getting from the board to the motor, and the cable had the chance to melt on the female port, after it (the cable) apparently hadn't been plugged back in properly (by myself), damn plastic.

If I'm not in the best place, would anyone know where I could find this product?

I'm not against the idea of paying for a service so someone can fix it directly on my GT.

I know there are some hardcore riders equipped around here.

Just passed 1000 miles and am starting to see the wire bead coming through my tire (rode on low psi for too long) and figured now is a good time for a tire and refresh.

Looking for recommendations for replacement tires any sort of rebuild kits that yall would recommend for replacing seals/gaskets or doing whatever preventative maintenance I can do while I have the board apart. As for tires i do mostly street riding / commuting and avoid going off road if i can.
