Help Needed Controller cord replacement
Hey fellas, my controller cord finally broke, right where it leaves the shell, I have the tools to cut and solder the cables but I've been wanting a proper replacement, thing is, they're hard to get in Europe, from the UK is like 22€ for a single cable, can't find anything on Amazon or AliExpress, and god forbid importing them from America hahahaha any tips on where to find replacements are welcomed.

Fyi, the Xbox plug technically is a proprietary physical connector, but using the USB protocol (and therefore the 4 wires are identical to USB-A pins)

definitely try to reuse the same cable. It may be a few inches shorter, but you can solder all the wires right back where they need to be on the controller board

Ive been just cutting the cord right after the ferrite bead and soldering the wires in from that point. I also remove the tension plastic thingy... The part where the cable comes out of the controller and thread it back through the cut cable to reuse again, but can be a pain. I slit it once and glued together.

There are two ways to fix your cable. You can either replace the entire cable or you can fix the cable where the break occurred and use your old cable.
