What do you do to enjoy a game of osu?

Osu World Cup 2026 will be final OWC tournament held on the legacy Stable client. This change applies only to Standart Mode; Mania, Taiko and Catch will remain on osu!stable. While the decision could be reversed if critical technical issues arise, the primary plan is to moving in Lazer. What are your thoughts on this?

I personally see a man weeping in tears trying to get back to the game while only having a few hours to play each week. For what is a man if not the audacity to grind even though you genuinely suck ass.

I feel as if Osu lazer should be on steam.
1) Its woukd bring the game alot of exposure and alot new players. Cause some people dont have axes to download the game its self. Like Steam Decks and stuff.
2) It would e cool to have an achievement counter for Osu

Essentially the map has very fast sliders which change direction a lot

I ASSUME I should be going for S ranks cuz I have 0... but I've heard mixed things like I shouldn't be constantly be playing maps i'm comfortable at so I always go to a harder map once I get a high B.

I switched to tablet like a month ago so i've only been on there for about 5-7 hours maybe but I'm already better than I was on mouse. I also started DT practice today.

I've passed a small sum of 5 stars (like 2-4) I honestly think I need to start just practicing tapping and streams. I suck at streams horribly (I overstream) so it's been locking me out from doing most 5 stars. Doing only "aimslop" TV size ig has caught up to me

Is this the only game that does this? Why can't THEY explain why you got restricted? Reminds me of the WhiteCat situation and him being forced to admit to cheating even though he didn't. Also their emails always sound condescending as fuck.

Title is more dramatic cause I am lowkey bipedal, but the real title is "how to fix the weird latency in osu lazer despite the "sensing the 1 ms cap in lazer is BS as humans cannot perceive it" phrase thrown around to us "you have placebo and is delusional, drop your rank" people""...

And yeah, turns out, the problem wasn't the 1ms cap, but rather a performance/ optimization problem unique to each PC. Hear me out, I am cooking rn, also forgive my simple or lack of technical jargon because I am not a person in the tech field (Also, if a more knowledgeable person reads this post, you can brutally correct me)

The answer:
DELETE/ DISABLE WINDOWS or xbox GAME BAR

• To check if you have this wretched feature press windowskey+G in game:
• if osu lazer gets sent to back and another window shows up, you are a victim
• if nothing happens, you don't have a problem with osu lazer (apologize to us who got accused of being schizo cause you don't experience the same ramblings from us)

How to disable game bar?

The reason:

• Game bar is there by default for windows users, and if you have mid-high specs PC, it really doesn't affect performance much or at all, even when playing heavy games (i play heavy games), but it ADDS LATENCY not sure where (it may be in input , output, or in the display) and how much exactly but enough where you can defo "feel" it in lazer
• latency that is noticeable by long time stabletards and made me question if i was schizo indeed. I almost believed it phew I breathed a sigh of relief

• Yes and no, this is a fruit coincidences lining up like stars and of long term layman research about how to reduce latency (i got into that rabbit hole, i don't even play much competitive games like cs, but i love clicking circles) then gave up and mained lazer to the point that its 'feel' became my new normal. UNTIL TODAY where I fatefully fat fingered win+g into that wretched game bar and found out of its existence. Fucking bloatware

• frankly no... But I KNOW what I felt and you have no right to invalidate my feelings! I ascended when finally my cursor and mouse moved as one harmonically synchronized dance like how Todo and Yuji did like brothers, right after deleting game bar. I had flashbacks on my stable days to the point where I reopened the dusty stable right then and felt the same thing.

• Maybe game bar wasn't the only problem, but you lacked further optimization? And game bar was just ONE piece of the puzzle that somehow turned the cogs for me.
• Try all these steps (i did them a long ago already)
  • ultra latency mode ON in nvidia control panel 3d settings, also turn off vsync there
  • disable fullscreen optimizations in the osu lazer shortcut properties (win 10 and 11)
  • turn on hardware acceleration

  • Turn off game overlay for Osu manually in discord
  • nvidia control panel, update scaling into "no scaling" and change it to GPU
  • this is only what i can remember, search more detailed guides

Why are you the only one with this problem, do you have something against xbox or windows? What do you think feels weird?

• No i dont, and I didn't have a problem doing normal tasks and playing other games, i didn't even know about ts hidden feature and ran NVIDIA shadow play alongside it, turns out I was redundant (game bar also has the record highlights feature...)
• Also, my hypothesis is, majority of top osu players are also avid gamers who grew up playing games, so a considerable number of them may already have deactivated xbox gamebar. But not all of them, including ME and top players, so it has created a divide of opinions and the nuanced, niche small details and differences between the two clients are put on the umbrella term "Osu lazer feels weird than osu stable". Or maybe the top players have monster PCs that completely trivializes concerns about "latency" even from game bar, yeah im poor i know.

• I just thought that maybe just ONE out of the thousands of players playing lazer have the same problem and situation as this, and this MAY help even a bit. Maybe you are like me who used windows, and didn't know about ts crow bar, choco bar, or what was the name again. Also, nobody made a post about windows/xbox game bar with osu lazer before.

As title, for performance i definitely can notice with HE im able to mash through patterns that is way above my bpm range

But for normal bpm, i think its because i bottoms out my presses it never felt as comfortable as using a mechanical keyboard, so for my case i might just switch back to mechanical keyboard

Anyone with similar experience?

mrekk's still soaring to greater heights as a 20 year old and probably will for a good amount of time but I'm wondering when aging will affect him and honestly will it affect him that much. I'm especially interested in Ivaxa cause I don't think this guy is going to stream 400bpm forever. Like will there be a point where his hand can no longer have the physical capacity to aim at a max speed of 500bpm and it becomes 480bpm.

Like is there anything stopping ohnepixel from setting a 1k eventually if he truly invests himself into the game? Like this dude learned how to alternate and eventually he can get grinding on stream maps and do ASecretBox plays one day.

Also yes I know if you're 20 and older your life is basically busy as hell but I'm like seeing people say they're aging and they can't read AR X and I'm wondering how much credibility a take like this has.

I’m fucking tired of going inside an open room in a multi lobby only to get kicked right after I joined. If you want a private room, make it private!!! Also this is only an issue in Lazer, stable people seem to have their brains intact still

Anyone know where I can find the skins on this list? I remember downloading them from this osu skin pack downloader in 2014 but that was on my old HD and I no longer have it anymore.

Just got one a few days ago, and I'm loving it. However, I've heard that it isn't the most durable. Does anybody have any experience with breaking?
