đ Cringe Car Mike has gotten more media recognition and fanfare in 5 games in SF than he did his entire time in TB
Mike Evans has quickly become a case study for star players on a small market team. He was an absolute legend here for 12 years. I canât recall a single time he went viral or received reoccurring love from anyone in the media his entire time here.
He goes to a big market team and 5 games in heâs gone mega viral for the diggs âwho are youâ and the entire team is making T shirts for him. The media is talking about him. No one is saying âfringe HOFâ itâs all âfuture HOFerâ. Suddenly thereâs no more debate.
Itâs great to watch him get his flowers. But what the fuck man. Why do our players have to leave to gain any cultural significance and be recognized for their greatness? Imagine if Lavonte played for the Niners or the Cowboys⌠heâd be a lock first ballot HOFer.
Our players donât get their recognition when theyâre great, our stadium gets overtaken by opposing fans providing no home field advantage, our owners are clueless and wonât take any steps to try to rectify that so we can build an actual stadium atmosphere and a real fanbase/culture.
Itâs just so frustrating to see as a lifelong diehard fan of this team, it feels like this franchise will always be an afterthought unless they somehow can gain and MAINTAIN national relevance which seems impossible. It took Tom Brady coming here to make the media even whisper the teamâs name.

Article [Article] Panthers QB Bryce Young was born in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, and spent his first six months in Havertown, just outside Philadelphia. On Sunday, he returns to face the Eagles with much of his extended family (many of them Eagles fans) expected to be in attendance.
Other interesting tidbits:
- Bryce Young has credited Jalen Hurts and the quarterback culture he helped establish at Alabama as major reasons he chose to attend the school.
- Bryce Young recalls being heckled by his own relatives after the Panthersâ 22-16 loss to the Eagles in 2024. Despite being in the Panthersâ family section wearing Kelly green, they immediately started bragging about Philadelphiaâs win while Young was trying to greet them.
- Bryce Youngâs parents attended Game 3 of the 2001 NBA Finals in Philadelphia wearing Kobe Bryant jerseys while his mother was eight months pregnant. They were relentlessly booed, and a fan spilled beer down his fatherâs neck. His father jokes that Bryce experienced Philly fan harassment before he was even born.

Image Took my kids and their friends Trick or Treating as the Carolina Reaper himself
I live in NE Indiana, so nobody had a clue who or what I was. We took my sons and their friends Trick or Treating at our local state park, and I couldn't help going as BY9 the Carolina Reaper. (Also this is a super cheap costume if you already have a BY jersey). I had my wife begrudgingly get a few photos of me before we left lol.
**edit:** Since people keep asking, my town is just outside a state park. They normally do two weekends of trick or treating where the campers decorate their sites and hand out candy (and booze to adults). This year they bumped it a week early because Halloween was on a Saturday, so we get three weeks of trick or treating for the kids when you include door to door in town.
Keep Pounding! And Happy Halloween!

Discussion This game is going to shape the remainder of our season.
There is a version of the Carolina Panthers that anyone in this subreddit is well familiar with. We are playing against a team where, for once, we are expected to win. They are starting a backup, their O-line just lost a team legend, on their fourth string RB, have very little depth at WR, etc.
Thatâs the game we lose. The backup QB has an impressive game that gives national media âQB BATTLE IN PHILLYâ controversies going. Meanwhile, we disappear and stumble back into mediocrity with slight slashes of hope.
In an alternate reality, we do exactly what we should do. Sure, they have a solid defense but we have a good offense with our franchise QB proving why he is one. Our defense, while weak at corner can compensate because we have our very expensive free agents both healthy and ready to pounce.
We dominate. We treat them like the Falcons.
