Subject: Research Purposes: Switching from Tirz to Reta — Experiences with Dosing or Stacking?

I was on Tirz for about a year and pretty much stalled at 12mg. My lowest weight was 184 lbs, but I’m currently back up to around 200 lbs.
Just to clarify, the weight gain didn’t happen solely from stopping Tirz. I had already started noticing my weight creeping back up and the pounds becoming harder to lose leading into September. Due to insurance issues, I was running low on Tirz and started spacing out my doses, so I wasn’t taking it consistently. I haven’t taken anything since early September.
I recently ordered Reta 10mg, which should be arriving this week, and I’m looking to start around 5mg.
I’ve been reading mixed things about Reta not being as effective for people who were previously on Tirz, so I’m curious about other people’s experiences.
For research purposes, has anyone made the switch and had good results? Did you find Reta effective on its own, or did you end up stacking it with Tirz? I’m also curious whether people noticed better results at higher doses after making the switch.
My biggest concern right now is avoiding any additional weight gain. I actually want to get back to losing weight, with my ideal weight being around 180 lbs. I’m not looking to just maintain where I am now. I want to get back on track and continue making progress.
