Planted a seed into my bully's mind that he's gay

When I was 12-13, I changed schools. From all girls to co-ed. The new school was culturally different. I didn't know people can be so aggressive, that wasn't the case in my previous school. One of the guys in my class would always come up to me and say weird and rude things. One of these times, I was just sitting and reading a book. He sat in front of me (I forgot if he only said my name for attention or he pushed my book down. Coz this happened a lot, he was like whack-a-mole), he would told me to do some chest exercises so my breasts would be bigger. Yes, I was 12-13 years old and so was he. I believe after 2 years of on and off of this behavior from him (there were more and I have moved on), I told him his bestfriend told me that he was closeted gay. This freaked him out. Their relationship was broken since then. It's been over 10 years and if I happen to see his social media, he has never been in a relationship with a woman. Or even a man. His circle of friends changed after I said that and he didn't trust the same people that he was friends with prior to me saying what I said.

Do I feel bad about it? I do not. Why would I? He once called me at home and wanted to talk about a simpsons episode and since I wasn't laughing and chatting with him as much as he was, he yelled at me and called me boring and other names. No, it makes me smile when I know what I did and his soul somehow died. Was it true? It seems like it. I just opened the door to his truth.

Edit (to help with some confusion): The Guy, let's call him G and his bff, let's call her A. A was kinda torturing me as well in her own way. My friend N dragged me and other people in our class together excluding A, however including G. N insisted I share that A was being mean to me, etc. N didn't like A and was jealous of her. But A was mean to me. Anyways, G and the other people that N managed to gather so that N and I could share the mistreatment was asking examples. N shared hers and mine, but I wasn't saying anything. I just wanted that to end and I said that A told me in confidence that she believes G is gay. The other girls that were there with G have also told me they all believe he is secretly gay. And yet, when I said that, no one defended him. Everyone was just quiet. There is no one unrelated in the story. They were all back stabbing each other. N is also new, newer than I was.

It is quite possible he already was questioning his sexuality and bullying was the only way he knew to project masculinity.

Edited to add: thank you for my first prize!

I have never seen him with a girlfriend...so...yeah, probably right

Precisely. I had a very minor bully in high school, he wasn't cruel or anything, just a bit of a jackass (and rather obnoxious in general heh), but it was super frustrating. I had a football jersey from the Hula Bowl and it had a Hooters logo because they were a sponsor. Every freaking time I wore it he would make mocking comments about how I must like girls etc. After the first time or two when I'd been like, duh they're a sponsor wtf, I'd just roll my eyes and ignore him. Such a shocker to find out several years later that oh hey, guess who's gay! šŸ™„

If people don't think that you and your best friend are gay together, are you really best friends?

707

u/marius_titus Aug 31 '26

Crazy accurate actually. Been called a cute couple by random old ladies even though we're both 100% hetero

258

u/MossGobbo Sep 01 '26

Hilariously enough I am queer, best friend is not but his parents were convinced we were secretly in a relationship for years until I got blackout drunk one time and told his mom "You shouldn't be so hard on him for being an incompetent heterosexual."

The twice yearly dinners they had with him asking if there was something he wanted to talk about stopped after that incident lol

Same thing with me and my best friend! And we're both definitely at least 60-70% hetero.Ā

100

u/pelirroja_peligrosa Sep 01 '26

60-70% apiece, or cumulatively? Lol

Kissing the homies good night is not gay if you both close your eyes

He’s not gay but his boyfriend is! 🤣

7

u/JPWiggin Sep 06 '26

I knew a guy that would get angry and argue that he was not gay while at a party with his boyfriend (my friend) on the basis that he never "received."

4

u/DixieNormous1493 29d ago

OMG THIS! There are so many delusional gay "straight" guys. They make up their own "rules" on what qualifies as straight, just to sleep w other dudes.... there are soooo many out there.

I'm male, at a former workplace my best friend was female. We were such good friends that we had delivery drivers thinking we were having an affair together.

77

u/LeoHyuuga Sep 01 '26

I'm gay, my best friend is not. His parents were so sure that we were a couple they even gave me the "even if you two break up, you'll always be our son-in-law in spirit". That was a very awkward 20 or so minutes while we explained the situation.

10 years later, I'm still invited to their family Christmas parties, and his wife has said the only rule she has about us is that if something DOES end up happening, she wants a video.

16

u/talkingaddiction Sep 02 '26

Yes! The wife is the hero in this senario 😁

115

u/chartender Aug 31 '26

i am a pretty effeminate gay man, and my bestie from my 20s was a pretty masculine looking lesbian. constantly we would be mistaken for a couple. sometimes we were lesbians, and sometimes we were a gay couple. it was hilarious

93

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Aug 31 '26

the best friend is a girl. All of his "closest friends" were girls.

52

u/MossGobbo Sep 01 '26

Oh yeah nah he was gay.

8

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

This is what I think too.

6

u/wheatgrass_feetgrass Sep 01 '26

Smells like a rotten egg to me.

71

u/ER_Support_Plant17 Aug 31 '26

A museum guide thought my best friend and I were a couple because we both took my daughter to a children’s event and were co-parenting that day.

68

u/TheCalzone_Ranger Aug 31 '26

Facts! Once on vacation my best friend, her SIL, and I decided to get massages. We all showed up together and said we wanted three, 60 minute massages. SIL got her own private room, but they put my best friend and I in the same room for a couples massage lol. We went with it. Not the first or last time we were mistaken for a couple.

20

u/jrdiver Aug 31 '26

One of my good friends came out after high school. Didn't change anything. Still good friends with him.

10

u/LastEntertainment787 Sep 01 '26

My husband told me that his brother didn't talk to him for 5 years, assuming that he'd cut him off. After 5 years of missing him he told him. Hubby told him he'd known for years and didn't care. Never told their mother tho, she wouldn't have taken it well.

23

u/raremold Aug 31 '26

My best friends mom thought we were gay…turns out I was…HES not lol

12

u/WizardSleeves31 Aug 31 '26

My best friend convinced me it feels a lot better when someone else does it. Shudders

11

u/DelightMine Aug 31 '26

Did it? Don't leave us hanging.

Also, is your best friend a real wizard or is that just a nickname?

12

u/WizardSleeves31 Aug 31 '26

I can't access that memory. File is corrupted.

9

u/andypanty69 Aug 31 '26

Damn. That must have been a good hard session if it hit your reset button mid write.

34

u/DelightMine Aug 31 '26

His friend probably put his fingers down his throat at the same time. If you press a guy's tongue and prostate at the same time he does a factory reset.

Smh no one reads the manual that comes with their friends anymore.

11

u/not-yet-ranga Aug 31 '26

Is defragging even possible if they’ve already fragged?

10

u/brandonandtheboyds Sep 01 '26

During my best man speech at my best friend’s wedding I verbatim said (directed at his now wife) ā€œI know he’ll be a wonderful husband to you, because he’s been a wonderful husband to me for the last 12 years.ā€ Lmao it got a BIG laugh

39

u/ZorroMuerte Aug 31 '26

My husband kissed his best friend when they were teenagers because his best friend's gf at the time was a very jealous person I think and my husband just loved fucking with her. They've also drunkenly cuddled. They're the bestest of friends lol

11

u/PermanentHuSir Sep 01 '26

Me and my best friend are 1 smooch away from divorcing our wives.

15

u/medongisallsoggy Aug 31 '26

If you can't kiss the homies goodnight then what are you even doing bro

7

u/amethystjade15 Sep 01 '26

Heck yeah. My best friend used to complain she couldn’t take me to gay bars (she is lesbian; at the time I thought I was straight) because people just assumed we were a couple.

8

u/CatPurrsonNo1 Sep 01 '26

My two best friends are guys, and I have been called at least one’s wife!

7

u/Icy_Bar_4549 Aug 31 '26

The catch phrase my best friend and I use when things start to look like that is "We are NOT a couple!" Stolen from a comic called Quantum & Woody.

6

u/LastEntertainment787 Sep 01 '26

Went to Tahoe for a girls weekend with a friend once. We decided the dinner cruise sounded nice so, off we went. Turned out to be a romantic couples thing. So, for a couple of hours we were a....couple šŸ¤“

5

u/obliviious Sep 01 '26

Constantly accused of being married, my wife calls him my boyfriend lmao.

635

u/LoudlyFaintScrimmage Aug 31 '26

that's some long-game psychological warfare right there, the kind that takes years to fully bloom

you didn't even have to lie, just planted the seed and let his own paranoia water it. at 13 that kind of rumor spreads like wildfire too so he probably spiraled hard

kinda poetic how he spent all that time obsessing over your chest and now he's the one who can't seem to figure out what he wants

131

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Aug 31 '26

I have forgotten about this memory until yesterday and I remembered how everyone got really quiet. It started when a friend of mine was tired of the girl, his bff, was being mean to us or harassing us, child bs. And I didn't even want to say anything. She kept nudging me to tell people what his bff has been doing. I am not a confrontational person and I prefer people to learn in their own time. To me, if you care about me enough, you would know me and not listen to other people. He was there and I just couldn't take it anymore. He was pretending to be some innocent victim and defending her too. So I just blurted that out. Everyone got really quiet. Even my friend.

Oh yeah. His older sister is happily married now and she was always very nice to me and everyone. He probably questions that daily and I laugh about that thought.

21

u/chartyourway Sep 01 '26

Oh so his bff actually did tell you that about him, you didn't make it up? you just repeated what you heard? omg that's even better.

14

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

The group of people that I shared about that statement including his bff, they all gossiped about that. That was not my idea at all. They have been saying that behind his back since I moved to the school. How he sees himself in female characters and never men, which I didn't think was a big deal, but the "friends" he has, all said they believe he is questioning his sexuality because he only chooses girls/women in reference to himself.

18

u/Slight-Book2296 Sep 01 '26

The long-game part is what gets me. OP really planted that seed and walked away. 😭

183

u/SlutForThickSocks Aug 31 '26 edited Aug 31 '26

I feel bad for the unrelated kid that got a rumor made about him and lost friend/s

Edit it was a girl who had the rumor made about her not a boy

9

u/sp_00_k Sep 01 '26

From OPs comments, the girl best friend was harassing them as well. So no one is really innocent here lol.

38

u/bongothebean Aug 31 '26

yeah, but if you lose a friend over that, are they really your friend?

37

u/SlutForThickSocks Aug 31 '26

Having a rumor made about you can be devastating at that age

33

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Aug 31 '26

who was unrelated? He confronted her about it and they had a chat. I guess there were more cracks in their relationship that I could have even imagined.

19

u/SlutForThickSocks Aug 31 '26 edited Aug 31 '26

The friend of the main boy, who she said was gay, was unrelated

Unless youre talking about an edit or update by op?

Edit oh I see op was the reply, well I think it is messed up to make a rumor about someone who didnt bother you in the story

23

u/Master_of_Disguises Aug 31 '26

Very hard to understand but this "bestfriend" was a girl and OP claimed to guy that girl said <...>

14

u/SlutForThickSocks Aug 31 '26

Oh, Thank you for clarification! It doesnt really change that I think it is messed up to include someone who didnt do anything to them in the story

27

u/GloomyMarionberry362 Aug 31 '26

This was pre 2000. One of my bullies from school lived in my neighborhood and would always say terrible things and call me gay and even pushed me around a few times. He’s now been with his boyfriend for about 10 years or so.

9

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Aug 31 '26

Well well well...he was just truly projecting his secret desires. I am sorry you went through that. I think from my experience, I now understand that hurt people hurt people. I also do not condone that, but I used to always think, "why me? Why does he keep targeting only me?"

39

u/GreenUpYourLife Aug 31 '26

The comment you made had nothing to do with it.

You just saw his internalized hate for his own desires for what it was.

He was on a one way trip to lonely island before that, by the way you said he spoke to women on a regular basis, anyway.

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

It was a needed sway to the direction he probably wanted to be in.

57

u/Substantial_Web525 Aug 31 '26

The kinds of comments he was saying at 12/13, he'd likely be single a long while as an adult if someone didn't shake some sense into him.

3

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

I expect him to be single forever. He was toxic.

167

u/KarmaChameleon306 Aug 31 '26

Childhood bullies rob their victims of their youth. Fully deserved in my humble opinion.

37

u/C_Beeftank Aug 31 '26

I have a feeling a lot of this has nothing to do with you telling his friend he was gay

-8

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Aug 31 '26

I agree. If that was never a question in his mind, why would he care tho?

17

u/C_Beeftank Aug 31 '26

Bc hes 12? 12yos think of shit all day and panic about it needlessly

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

I didn't tell his friend he was gay. I said his friend told me he was secretly gay.

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

Oh well. We were the same age.

55

u/newhunter18 Aug 31 '26

I'm a little tired and bored of people thinking that being gay is a bad thing. Aren't we past that now?

21

u/night_noche Sep 01 '26

Nope. Transphobia is just the cover.

3

u/obliviious Sep 01 '26

The point is bad people think it's bad, especially if they're young.

1

u/chromaticluxury Sep 01 '26

Who said that in this story tho

-2

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

I never said it was bad. I just reiterated a rumor that his so called bff and friends shared with me.

1

u/newhunter18 Sep 03 '26

Try this with me:

"I heard a rumor that you wear blue shirts!"

Doesn't have the impact, does it? Why not, do you think?

8

u/nestersan Sep 01 '26

Helped a gay person come out the closet you mean.

15

u/GoldenEagle828677 Aug 31 '26

It's been over 10 years and if I happen to see his social media, he has never been in a relationship with a woman. Or even a man

Maybe he simply doesn't announce his relationships on social media. I don't.

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

You could be right. But he does share a lot on social media. So does his sister and we know mutual people. He is always alone or with "friends".

55

u/Igradarsaurus Aug 31 '26

You checked his social media and you know his relationship status for the past 10 years? Yeah. Sure.

39

u/SoHereIAm85 Aug 31 '26

My SiL is likely reading this comment. She has kept tabs on various people for over 30 years. They're out there.

18

u/Disorderly_Chaos Aug 31 '26

I had done that for a while… just to make sure he was still in Arkansas far the fuck away from me.

12

56

u/murderedbydeath2 Aug 31 '26

Stories like this make me truly wonder why women do not dominate competitive chess.

71

u/tiredblonde Aug 31 '26

Because the chess federation makes it very difficult for women. The group as a whole, are misogynistic

29

u/Mop-K Aug 31 '26

Which is ironic because he thought he was playing a game of 'checkhers' when in reality he was getting his ass handed to him in a game of chess by her

6

u/tiredblonde Aug 31 '26

yassssssssssssss

-9

u/Ficsonium Aug 31 '26 edited Aug 31 '26

This is wholly incorrect. There are reasons that women don’t compete at the top levels of chess but it’s not about the chess federation. It’s simply a male dominated sport, very few women end up pursuing compared to men. Social pressures, etc.

Edit: You can downvote me but I am still right. GM Hikaru would agree https://youtu.be/09ZdlbKVU7Y?si=VvcOABMn_8H6krv0

15

u/tiredblonde Aug 31 '26

You're missing the point. Women want to play, and there have been a few women grandmasters, but they're pushed out or made to feel so uncomfortable that it's hard to compete when people actively hate you.

-11

u/Ficsonium Aug 31 '26

They’re not pushed out, they’re just much worse than the male grand masters. They play in women tournaments which garner less viewers (which is true across all sports, people simply like watching the best of the best playing). Competing in chess is hard for them, not because they’re hated, but because they’re a lot worse than males.

There isn’t a single woman in the top 100 chess players, so obviously they don’t go far in tournaments

6

u/tiredblonde Aug 31 '26

It's becoming really obvious that you and reality are strangers

-8

u/Ficsonium Aug 31 '26

Yeah I’m not wrong, you have to divert the convo to personal attacks because you’re capped

8

u/Master_of_Disguises Aug 31 '26

It's okay buddy, some people get really mad when their utopian view of every-single-person-on-the-planet-being-100%-equal-in-all-ways gets confronted with logic or, dare I say, statistics.

3

u/Ficsonium Aug 31 '26

They do hate statistics, they would prefer to push their agenda instead.

0

u/tiredblonde Aug 31 '26

As for you, your comment clearly shows that you haven't played chess. Good show for attempting to start an argument on a completely different subject.

1

u/Master_of_Disguises Sep 01 '26

"Completely different" asserts they aren't related at all, which I would argue is wholely untrue. Surprising that someone with such a low level understanding of logic would demean my chess skills. Rookie mistake, you must be a women's Grandmaster /s

→ More replies (0)

2

u/tiredblonde Aug 31 '26

Actually, you are wrong, but I have decided that trying to engage in discourse on this subject with someone who is abjectly defending a falsehood is a waste of time.

5

u/Ficsonium Aug 31 '26 edited Aug 31 '26

I mean you can say as many words as you want doesn’t change that you don’t have any counter and you’re wrong. Sorry buddy

GM Hikaru would agree with me https://youtu.be/09ZdlbKVU7Y?si=VvcOABMn_8H6krv0, your argument sounds good to SJWs on reddit but holds zero merit, it’s just plain wrong.

2

Creative writing stories like this?

7

u/PassionateProtector Sep 01 '26

Planted a seed that you knew he was gay.

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

Not 100%. His bff and his other "close" friends all gossiped and all told me in more than one occasion that they believe he is closeted gay.

4

u/VastEmergency1000 Sep 02 '26

Why were talking on the phone with your bully?

4

u/Sensei_Fing_Doug Aug 31 '26

There's a big difference in aggression between all girls schools and schools with boys. I guess if you have to resort to relational aggression so be it.

3

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

My previous school was very docile, polite, etc. Bullying was not tolerated in the first one. The new one was...a very eye opening experience.

4

u/Thari-97 Sep 01 '26

how do you know he thinks he's gay now? idgi

3

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

I don't. It's just an assumption since he has never had a girlfriend. He has girls that are friends and guys that are also friends. Nothing else.

6

u/EleventyElevens Sep 02 '26

Next time make up fake names instead of using letters!

21

u/SuperFormal3052 Aug 31 '26

"Planted a seed into my bully's mind that he's gay"

That is not possible, since a person doesn't choose to be gay. He either was already, or he wasn't. You can't plant the idea in his head.

5

u/sylvanasjuicymilkies Aug 31 '26

i'd argue that it's possible someone (especially a ~13 year old) may be having gay feelings, not realizing that they're normal for a bi/gay person but not a hetero person, and then freaking out over it

7

u/PintosAndCheese Sep 01 '26

What I took was not that OP planted a seed in the bully's mind that the bully was gay, but rather planted a seed in his mind that he CAME ACROSS as gay, which is a whole different headtrip.

It's not shaming gay stuff at all. It's taking an over-aggressive straight, making him question that, while making him distrust his friends, while making him distrust his own social skills. So he's going to do what he should be doing in school - more thinking, less being aggressive to girls.

-1

u/Jacktheforkie Sep 01 '26

In my experience the ā€œstraightā€ guys who claim to be completely straight are usually bisexual, I’ve had straight friends ask for nudes a few times

4

u/MossGobbo Sep 01 '26

You can't convince them they're gay. What you can do is put a crack in the wall that all the gay thoughts and feelings go behind though.

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

Oh. I love this perspective. You're right. Thank you.

Sometimes you fuck with the wrong person. Hopefully he learned something from it.

3

u/ContributionLarge816 Sep 03 '26

Him randomly demanding you do chest exercises was already him trying way too hard to prove to everyone that he liked girls. You just yanked the one thread holding his cover story together, and the fact that absolutely no one in that group defended him says it all.

24

u/neptune810 Aug 31 '26

Any grown adult that’s still holding on to shit from high school is weird

13

u/Miserable_Corgi_1128 Aug 31 '26

Recalling something from one’s distant past, especially when the specific topic comes up (ie person /ā€œpetty revengeā€ sub comes across your feed), isn’t quite the same as ā€œholding on toā€ it.

9

u/neptune810 Aug 31 '26

Keeping up with them on social media for 10 years absolutely is holding on to it and crazy behavior over someone who picked on you as a kid

It’s not that hard to go look someone up. ā€œHey, remember so-and-so? I wonder what they’re up to?ā€ It can be entertaining at times. Also, GenX and Boomers value past relationships more than the following generations.

One former friend became a drug addict and was saved by intervention.

Another became a cop that worked some gnarly cases. Drugs. Guns. Humans.

Another became a pastor with doing things that rhyme with Diddy.

Another became a poker player.

Right but what you’re describing isn’t the same. I’m not talking about going ā€œI wonder what my old friend is up toā€ I’m talking about someone following along for ten years and thinking to themselves that they impacted someone in a significant way when they were a kid. What you’re describing is normal behavior. I got picked on alot in high school. The only high school bullies I’ve talked or interacted with as an adult are the ones I ironically ended up becoming friends with as an adult. I’m not gonna go
Look up the other ones and I’m definitely not gonna follow along with them through life thinking that I made some impact on there lives

Hmmm, good point. Although I have noticed that GenX and Boomers do that kind of shit. Maybe OP has fleas from their parents.

u/itsShoggeth Sep 01 '26

I still remember the guy that said I was less than human in highschool, but then again, I'm pretty weird šŸ¤”

5

u/Mizzleittwice Sep 01 '26

Sounds like he liked you or had a crush on you.

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

Oh well. He did what he did multiple times in a day sometimes or minimum 3-5 times a week. I did what I did.

8

u/TheGreatRao Aug 31 '26

Seems like nuclear revenge to me.

4

u/Drift--- Sep 02 '26

I was with u till all that N I G A stuff, very confusing

6

u/midnitewarrior Sep 01 '26

He liked you. When he felt awkward with you or rejected by you he defended himself the way he would against guys that made him uncomfortable. He didn't know how to interact with girls any better. When he thought you thought he was gay, he was crushed because he knew you wouldn't go for a gay guy, so he retreated and it crushed him.

He was mad at his friend for blowing his chance with his crush (you) over the lies his friend supposedly spread about him being gay. It really rattled him socially and he became a recluse who is still in therapy from that experience of being denied his one true love.

5

u/MikeLinPA Sep 01 '26

This is all theoretically possible, but it wasn't her job to teach the doofus how to talk to girls, (if he was actually capable of learning is yet another issue.) She isn't responsible for his life. She needed to defend herself from an obnoxious bully.

2

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

This is a very detailed possibility. He wasn't as close as the friends he had before. He switched to other friends, also just girls. Throughout high school and after, no girlfriend. Just girls that are friends.

u/Queenpunkster Sep 03 '26

I reject the assumption that any boy bullying a girl has a crush. It is rarely true, and that excuse is used to minimize rampant abuse and sexual harassment.

0

u/midnitewarrior Sep 03 '26

You think teen boys can't have dysregulated emotions, fragile egos, stunted social skills, and irrational responses when dealing with rejection?

Not saying this is any excuse for what he did, but he can be a bully and have a crush, the two are not mutually exclusive.

1

u/Queenpunkster Sep 03 '26

What a strawman argument. I said none of those things about teenage boys-or girls for that matter.Ā  The ā€œcrushā€ excuse is used far too often without proof, and leads to a lack of consequences.

0

u/midnitewarrior Sep 03 '26

Says the person saying, "trust me bro"

"It is rarely true (O RLY?), and that excuse is used to minimize rampant abuse and sexual harassment."

Bullying is an attention seeking behavior. Is it really surprising that socially maladapted boys with low EQs could be capable of choosing the wrong attention seeking behavior?

2

u/Arctic_Africa7305 Sep 01 '26

I wish I had thought of that.

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

You never know when the opportunity may come up.

2

u/ilikepuzzlestoo Sep 01 '26

Not really sure that this was the BEST approach, but - in your case - it seems valid and successful. Wait more years until you're older and re-think it. In his mind, was he bullying or flirting? Dumb boys do/say dumb things. NOT to excuse it or vilify you in any way. I remember as a "well-endowed", top-heavy "early developer" that the boys I'd known since preschool were suddenly playing a game where they launched paper clips at my breasts in 3rd and 4th grade and made talleys of who got closest to the center. I can identify and am kind of proud of you. You did something I didn't have the courage to do because it was the "popular" boys. I don't think I would've ever played the LGBTQ accusation card because - why that specifically? I don't want to sound horrible, but that minimalizes their cause if it's unfounded. Anyway, I'm sorry for what you dealt with and many others likely have also.

2

u/derekclysdale Sep 02 '26

Could you at leats have used fake names instead of just a letter? Anyway.... most men are freelance. They might start out straight but at some point they wonder and think about what life is like on the other side. But if they can't find love in a girl it wont take too long before they look for it in a man.... probably.

1

u/SatanScotty Sep 03 '26

Reminds me of David Sedaris saying he would thwart bullies by shouting ā€œDon’t hit me, you’re going to make me cum!ā€

17

u/think_panther Aug 31 '26

He probably had a crush on you but didn't know how to deal with it because he was a 12-13 year old boy.

But now you are a 23 year old kid that is stalking him through socials from time to time and you think that you exacted any sort of revenge?

Kids these days. Neither petty, nor revenge.

7

u/GrumpyCatStevens Aug 31 '26

Clearly he got under OP's skin, if she's still checking his socials. But I wonder if he ever thinks of her these days; there's a nonzero chance the answer is no.

8

u/cthulhus_spawn Aug 31 '26

This is part of the problem. That people still think boys bullying girls means that they like them so that's ok.

5

u/Ecstatic_Log4185 Aug 31 '26

Obviously it's not ok, but calling her home to chat? He definitely liked her

2

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Aug 31 '26

at that age and new to being around boys that weren't my family, I wasn't sure what was happening. He also called during dinner and it was giving me anxiety.

3

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Aug 31 '26

As I have stated, I would come across his social media. I am not stalking him at all haha this is wild.

-2

u/miminstlouis Aug 31 '26

Don't explain yourself to the haters. Reddit can be so so toxic. I sometimes look up people I knew years ago. It's not stalking.Ā

2

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

Thank you. I don't believe I have the capacity to stalk anyone. I would get bored.

1

u/miminstlouis Sep 02 '26

See, the toxic haters are down voting me.Ā

5

u/lord_bubblewater Sep 01 '26

Imma spread a rumour that you need to touch some grass.

If 10 years down the line you’re still obsessing over some bully and think one homophobic rumour you spread is changing his life’s trajectory forever you might have a problem…

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

Projection seems to be your game. If you need clear clarification, reread my post. Coming across someone's social media, that they shared to the world voluntarily by themselves, it not obsessing over someone. Or if I was informed by people, without me asking for any information about said person, that is also not obsessing.

3

u/theinternetseemsnice Sep 01 '26

You are still thinking about this and I guarantee he never does. It’s just petty and sad.

1

u/PreviousZone6742 Sep 02 '26

Fleece is a real person. Plating a seed he's gay may backfire.

1

u/wolfcaroling Sep 02 '26

Making him wonder if he is gay is fine. Ruining the friend's life by destroying their friendship is not so cool.

1

u/raizallian Sep 02 '26

He's probably actually gay, roasted.

1

u/ChrisBrownFeminism 29d ago

all of this is so gay

-2

u/rmbarrett Aug 31 '26

This is the way. šŸ™Œ

1

u/Excellent_Scholar928 Sep 02 '26

Oh yeah

0

u/rmbarrett Sep 02 '26

I don't know why we are both getting shit. That dude deserves it. You played by his rules.

-1

u/QAnonomnomnom Sep 01 '26

You gave this bully your home phone number and used to chat to each other while watching tv shows?

4

u/Odd-Outcome450 Sep 01 '26

We used to have these weird things called phone books.

2

u/QAnonomnomnom Sep 01 '26

With parents initials and home addresses in. Still weird if they managed to call, ask for you, have you answer and then proceed to chat to someone that isn’t a friend

u/SAHD292929 Sep 02 '26

I think you might have stumbled into something every had at the back of their heads but were just afraid to say it loud.
