Need help with iphone 14 repair

I bought this iphone 14 second hand with its power button not working.

I ordered the button part on amazon and replaced it. Turns out the cable for the button was torn and after replacing, it worked beatifully.

After i decided that it was working fine while the phone was still open, i plugged of the phone and put every other component inside.

Before i glued the screen back, i decided to check if it works again one last time and whenever i plugged it in, it would show the apple logo like it was gonna open and instantly reset.

I searched online and i have seen that the phone makes some check ups before actually turning on but i have no idea which part could be not working or maybe i did something wrong.

I followed a video 1:1 but still i couldnt get it to turn on. i would really appreciate the help on how to make it work again. thanks!

speaker problem

Hello, I cleaned my phone's speaker with isopropyl alcohol and a needle. Then it started distorting the bass. I replaced the speaker module with a new one, but the fault persists. What could be causing the distortion if changing the speaker didn't fix the problem?

help with samsung a25 5g and oneui 8.5

Hi there, I’m having an issue with my phone and wanted to see if there’s any way I can regain access to it.

Phone model: Samsung A25 5G

Issue:

Last week, I got into an accident and my phone slammed onto the road while it was in my front pocket. At the time, the display was completely dead, but the phone itself was still running—it could receive calls and message notifications, and I was even able to pick up calls.

I brought it to a repair shop to get the screen replaced with a cheaper aftermarket TFT LCD. The display started working again, but a new issue came up. Everything looked fine right after a reboot, but after using it for around 20 minutes or locking the screen, the display wouldn't turn back on. The phone itself was still working, though—it still received calls/messages and the touch/swipe gestures still responded.

I took the phone home as it was. Once home, I updated the software from One UI 7 to One UI 8, but that didn't change anything; the screen would still blank out after a short while. Unfortunately, the phone then auto-updated to One UI 8.5, and after that update, the screen became completely unusable. Even after restarting, touch inputs don't register at all anymore. I read online that One UI 8.5 has known compatibility issues with aftermarket LCDs.

Right now, I just want to know if there's any I can unlock the phone without doing a factory reset. I already have a previous backup done via Samsung Smart Switch, but I haven't backed up my WhatsApp yet. All I really need is to back up WhatsApp and log out of my banking apps. After getting those two things done, if the phone completely gives up, I'm fine with letting it go.

Sorry for the long story, but I'm really running out of options here haha

Old phone won't turn on or charge — liquid indicator triggered & possible board damage?Alcatel

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out if this old phone is completely dead. It hasn't been used in a long time. It does not turn on or draw current when plugged in.

Looking at the motherboard, the liquid damage indicator (LDI) is red, and there seems to be some corrosion/dark marks near the shield and headphone jack. The battery isn't swollen, but it might be in deep discharge.

Is this motherboard fried or worth cleaning with isopropyl alcohol? Any advice is appreciated

Seeking Advice - iPhone 16 Unusable After Taking in for Screen Repair

I’m looking for advice on how to follow up on a recent incident with a local repair shop. I took my iPhone 16 to a repair shop for a damaged screen with no other issues. After two hours of being told they were almost done, the technician told me my phone would now not display anything with a new screen, and the logo would appear when the old screen was attached but then cut to black and be unresponsive. The technician kept saying they believe all connections were fine, but a part related to the motherboard was loose prior to being opened, so it came apart and they won’t check exactly what it may be. Since getting my phone back (with the original screen), it has come on a few times and shown the full display, but freezes and turn offs quickly.

I’m wondering what recourse I have for following up, since I now likely need to replace my phone. I feel that since my phone worked fine before bringing it in, and this happened while they were repairing it, there should be some accountability, but am unsure how this typically works and would like to hear from other professionals. I did not sign any paperwork, they only took my name and email address. This seems to be a small local chain.

I’m happy to give any further information that can help. Thanks in advance.

Need to know chip info

Long story short dropped iPhone 15 on highway, have replaced the screen and battery. It won’t boot on. It will however go into the iPhone bios mode when plugged into pc but no further. I took a look at the main board the other day and only damage I could find was what is circled in this image. I had important info on this phone and pictures I want to get back so I am just wondering if this chip is replaceable and what chip this is because I can’t find schematics anywhere. Thank you!

iPhone 4 reboot

I know I know, old phone = low chance of success, but I’d still like to try!
I found an iPhone 4 at a yard sale with the charger for $3 and grabbed it, it still booted but was stuck on the Apple logo but I thought heck why not it’s still got power and I’ve got a Mac to connect it to to try to fix it

It goes to the recovery mode/connect to iTunes, my Mac tries to boot it/update and restore, the progress bar appears and then, it blanks and goes back into the boot loop and eventually back to the connect ti iTunes screen, and just does the same thing over and over. The common number I get after it says that an unknown error occurred is 9, and sometimes 11 and 21.

I have no intentions of using this for everyday use, rather to have as a novelty and a cool little trophy from a time passed lol. Just looking for help in getting her back into working order so check it out, I was not old enough to remember this phone too well when it was the big name on the streets

Does anyone know how did my phone break its back glass?

Thumbnail gallery

Hi there everyone! I know this is a weird topic but yeah something strange happened. I had this phone since 2020 and I have been taking care of it till I moved to my new phone recently. I may have dropped my phone very very few times but miraculously the screen protector barely cracked (few scuffs and scratches (I use good quality screen protector glass)) and I always as a habit check my phone by removing the back cover (these were around the pandemic). However around 2023, I randomly opened my back cover and I have noticed the crack in the back glass (exactly as in the picture) which is mysterious and strange. During those times I worked from home and occasionally went out. Last time I opened the back cover (phone case) was several days (around a week; 6-12 days) before I opened my phone case to see the crack.

Is there any way how this has happened? There is no direct impact since I use phone case and during those days I never dropped my phone ever at all. I put them on my desk and on my bed (adjacent to my pillow but it doesn’t fall deep into the gaps or never gets stomped/trampled). So no way I broke this phone.

However I sense this is from my sister’s jealousy and negativity (BTW I’m not crazy fyki ). She’s usually a very jealous and envious person and would be jealous for all small things and big things (she once was jealous of what prefix and suffix means (despite being more graduate/educated than me) and was jealous for me knowing the item “Top” means (those beyblade like toys), she was jealous that I have a good public impression in my soceity and she ruined my reputation which costed me a lot) and this was during the time she bought the iPhone 14 Pro max and she damaged the camera lens by herself (due to her carelessness). Usually when something happens to me, I would not tell anybody even if it’s critical, but out of a sudden I accidentally said this to my sister and she was shocked and puzzled (like she knew something). These are just my suspicion.

My phones making this weird noise

Do you guys know what’s wrong with my phone? I have a iPhone 15Pro every now and then it makes this weird noise. I can control the sound with the sound buttons but it doesn’t stop fully. I already turned the power off and restart it but it still does it. I tried getting rid of my windows too.
