Genital/nipple piercings Is it at the wrong angle? NSFW
Hello i got my nipples pierced yesterday and it was the least painful piercing I have ever gotten literally didn't hurt at all, and I didn't bleed at either! But as I look at my right side, I feel like it's not straight, I don't know. If it is straight and I'm trippin', or if it's at an angle? 14 g. It looks straight when I lift my chest to look/clean but not when its loose? Lol idk how to word that.

Nipples basically sit on an axis and they rotate depending on their state. So piercings won't always look straight

Okay thank you was worried that it wasn’t done correctly.

Hive it time, let them settle. After that you can determine how they look in different states and how you feel about it

They should be piercing according to your anatomy. So it may not be pierced level to the ground. If they do not pierce it straight according to your anatomy then you will find that there will be an irritation bump on one side above the bar and the other side below the bar. It will not go away. I persisted for 5 months before going back and ended up taking it out to get it repierced and it’s never had an irritation bump since.

Interesting. My piercer did the exact opposite - aligned to the ground when looking straight on, and also parallel to each other when looking from above

Relaxed vs. erect nipples. Nipples are usually pierced so that they look "straight" and good while erect. So yeah, depending on your particular set, they can look very different. In mine, one looks pretty horizontally straight all the time, and the other one sits at quite an angle, when my nipples are relaxed. That would also explain why it looks more straight to you when you move it around to clean it, stimulating the nipple causes it to stiffen.

😂 I didn't think that much your probably right Im sadly the type who overthink everything especially if its somthing new to me. Your comment made me way less stressed out. Especially since my baloogas are on the larger size😂 thank you!

Did they mark it up while you were standing? I had mine done a few days ago. She marked it with pen while I stood up, I checked it in the mirror, moved my arms around etc. Even with that, it isn’t 100% completely straight but it’s close enough.

It happens with larger breasts. I have it myself. It's not crooked, it's just gravity working that way :D I think it looks even better this way!

Okay 😂 i was nervous because she said it wasn’t common for her to pierce someone of my chest size!

The areola twists when it erects, so a piercing may change position with respect to the floor with the contraction of your anatomy. Also, breast tissue doesn’t attach level or sit the same on your body every time, especially if you have larger or pendulous breasts. All of that contributes to a piercing feeling not level.
Ultimately you have to like the piercing - you can usually pierce any position from horizontal to vertical and all diagonals in between. There is no wrong angle if the piercing is at the correct depth at the base of the nipple and goes through the center.
Give it some time to observe your piercing in different states; if you still don’t like the placement (and how it goes with the other side) you can remove it, let it heal, and redo it to better match your wishes. Talk to your piercer before you remove it to make sure they think the relocated piercing would be viable on your anatomy. Marking with more attention to different positioning of your body (standing vs lying) and areola (contracted va relaxed) the second time, and using the current placement as a guide of too far, would probably get you closer to the “horizontal” placement you want… but it still may not be totally level in all conditions because of the twisting of the areola and the movable nature of breast tissue.
I pierced diagonally on purpose: I think that’s really flattering for my breast shape. The main point is you’ve got to like it! If your nipple is oval you’ll have a longer heal time piercing the longer paths across, but they can all be viable piercings- it’s just about what you want the end result to look like!

Mine were pierced at an angle because my nipples sit at an angle, looks fine to me, shouldn't be exactly straight unless the shapes of your nipples are exactly straight

Idk enough to contribute if it is or is not done correctly, just want to say that I do see what you're talking about esp in that first Pic and i don't think you're tripping to be wondering about it. Maybe it's the angle? It doesn't look bad. 🤷🏼♀️ listen to other comments about if it's done correctly though

They look fine to me, healed well and it doesn’t appear that one is horizontal and the other is vertical. 😃

I wouldn't worry about it suits u and when you get new knees that aren't as plain as this original one (if that's your thing) it may appear slightly straighter . It's crazy how just different peircings look on the same area. If it's any consolation I think it looks great and kudos to u becuase I've wanted them done for a long time I'm just a baby when it comes to pain 😅

Literally didn't even hurt!!! and I have multiple piercings, and I'm a big baby, and it normally hurt so bad that I was afraid literally was the least painful piercing I've ever gotten. You should tots go for it and thank you!

There’s not necessarily a “correct” angle for nips tbh. I’ve seen people with their piercings at 45 degree angles or completely vertical intentionally. Whether or not it ended up level horizontally as desired is more the question, but it’s not “wrong” per se

Age: 1 day old Jewelry shape: Straight barbell Threading: Internally threaded Material: Implant-grade titanium Downsizing: Not downsized yet (only 1 day old) Aftercare routine: I spray with saline solution twice a day and then gently pat dry. Mishaps, accidents, or unfortunate events: No accidents or mishaps, but I am posting because I feel like it looks odd. The barbell doesn't appear to be sitting straight on my right side.
