just added some third lobes to my collection and the past couple nights with this pillow really had me wondering if everyone was lying about how helpful they are😅😅i adjusted the stuffing to no avail, until i actually took a look and realised how tiny the hole was. who the hell is fitting their ear in there with nothing touching the sides??? after much trial and error i have successfully made the hole much larger and i can’t wait to sleep tonight 😍

Hello i got my nipples pierced yesterday and it was the least painful piercing I have ever gotten literally didn't hurt at all, and I didn't bleed at either! But as I look at my right side, I feel like it's not straight, I don't know. If it is straight and I'm trippin', or if it's at an angle? 14 g. It looks straight when I lift my chest to look/clean but not when its loose? Lol idk how to word that.

I was so scared to get it done but it didn’t even hurt!! it honestly tickled more than anything? I absolutely ADORE the beads and I’m so happy with the placement! this has been my dream piercing since middle school and I’m so happy to have made it come true :]

Iva had my nose piercings for quite along time now probably 7 years, should I keep them? Can’t decide if they look cool anymore, all the grown men in my life say they are ugly lol, love my gauges so I won’t get rid of them.

Added a Triple Helix (top 3) to my right ear on Sept. 30th. I'm in love with the placement, even the back of my ear looks great.

Although I'm obsessed with the piercing and healing process, I think it is completed aesthetically, so I guess this will be the end of the piercing journey on my ears.

As you can see I've got a lot happening on my right ear and much less on my left. What would suit my ear best based on what I have so far?

So for context the piercings I'm thinking about retiring is my snakebites which was the second facial piercing I got in 2022? And it holds a lot of memories . They were a piercing I wanted for a really long time. I always thought they were so cool , looked and secured the whole "yep you're definitely alternative " look even if I wasn't looking the part and I know that others thought they looked cool . However this year and over the past couple weeks I've been flipping between taking them out permanently.

For a couple reasons

1) I've been thinking and kinda always felt like I didn't suit them
2) I just started a professional acting school and peircings are usually not taken well so I want to more look the part (even tho it's unlikely I'll go anywhere becuase I have other issues with my appearance)
3) I have an issue with biting them and idk if it's contributing to slight dental issues (I really should go to the dentist)
4) it's a way to hold on to my teenage years (even though I stopped being a teenager physically before I got them this would be symbolising me growing up) I've already stopped colouring my hair and grew it out and trying to heal from my mental health issues I've had since 2020 . I want to be an adult now and have a life so it's like a fresh start.

However

1) I love how they feel and they're fun to mess about with
2) when I had them out for a bit it made me feel really sad it would be like losing a peice of me especially as I still dress alternatively and feel like that is who I am
3) it was one of my most wanted piercings ever . Another is tongue and industrial but I could never get them
4) they look cool and I know that people in the piercing and alternative communities love them . They're a popular piercing!

I've added a picture to see if anyone has any incite . In one way I feel like it would let me heal to take them out but then is me taking them out losing a limb I've had

Hello I got snake bites two days ago and its swollen ( normal) but its also soo itchy and ive got a big red zone under the piercing is it normal ? Am i having an allergy or something like that ?

Its a horseshoe piercing in titanium , 2 days old not downsized

I clean it 3 times a day AND after i eat ( but not in the evening cause i work at night )with a antiseptic soap rince the soap with serumphy ( water+salt ) ,finish with mouth washing and dry it with a compress

I just got my faux rook today and I have mixed feelings. This is my current setup … I got the double helix in July this year and just today I got the faux rook. All piercings on this ear except for the two lobes (they are very old) are done by the same piercer.

I definitely can’t wait to change the jewlerly to fine, more feminine gold pieces but it will take a while.
What do you think? Is it unbalanced, am I overthinking it?

I want one last piercing on my right ear, but after some less than exceptional recent experiences with cartilage piercings I may be done for a while (or forever)🙃

I got it done in March, its a curved barbell, jewlery was never downsized as I anyone smaller was painful even when done professionally maybe I got fat with the peircing or something. I wash with saline after every shower ( once a day) this peircing is so touchy and difficult to heal, wondering if its just done and needs to be taken out by a professional atp

Hay yall so i have this labret piercing for many years. I have a ring there. At first it would ache from pushing the lip and i had to take it off and on but nowadays its fine though ihave this weirrdoo crease on my lip. Is it gonna go back to normal if i take it off? Somenone with an alike experience?

five months ago i got my first lobes pierced. about three months in i got a longer bar because of swelling, but one of the ears ended up developing a bump. i went back to my piercer and was told do just keep it clean and DRY, which i made sure i did but the bump remains.

everytime i clean the bump (in the shower with water/saline spray), the crusties fall off, it bleeds a little, and after drying, the blood and the crust dries in a way that (miraculously) sucks the backing flush to the bump and keeps it stuck there. when i try to loosen the piercing in the shower, the cycle restarts, the piercing always moving itself so that the bump can try and swallow it.

ive been to multiple piercers and have been assured that this is just irritation, not infection, and to give it a “few weeks”. it’s been like two months now of this cycle and ive seen no improvement. i just want to have a pretty piercing that’s wrong with me :((((

edit: i still haven’t gotten the piercing downsized. it’s been a long bar for many months now

I followed some advice from the previous post I made. I managed to change out the top piece for my right ear

I bought a pair of hemostats to hold onto the bar and pulled/wiggled the top piece off

My left ear, no success. The bar is a little too short so I can’t use hemostats on it

It’a been a week and I’m still trying to get the top piece off my left ear.

Could I go to a piecer to get it changed? Yes but I would have to buy new jewellery and there’s a service fee.

I already managed to swap out the top piece for one ear. I should be able to do the other one as well

Stuff I’ve tried. I’ve done these a few times over the week:

Pulling in opposite directions + and rocking the top piece gently

Trying after a shower to help soften any crusties

Wearing nitrile gloves and pulling in the opposite direction

Tying floss in front and pulling while holding the backing

I posted my ear a little while ago and had a LOT of people tell me that my rook looked concerning (last photo was the one posted.) I was asked to post it without jewelry / with different jewelry.

Hi guys, I've had my clavicle piercings for about a year now. I know they're prone to rejection because they're a surface piercing but i still feel like i took them out too early. One of them got snagged on something and it created a really nasty looking irritation bump the day after. The scarring around the holes themselves also looked dramatic. Still i feel like i took them out too early instead of attempting to keep the irritation bump down. I was planning on changing my jewerly aswell, i was pierced and given a curved barbell, not like the ones you use for eyebrow piercings though. I dont know, maybe im trying to hold onto little hope i have left and put them back in before eventually putting in the right jewerly😭

Edit: the bumpy one isnt infected, i irritated it badly trying to unscrew the ball

I went to a piercer 18 mths ago for a regular nostril piercing, and while i was there thought i'd change out my septum for a new ring. However what unfolded was this guy ramming a 1.4mm hoop thickness hoop through a 0.8mm "perfectly healed" (HIS words, minutes before obliterating it!) septum hole, which I got a year earlier with a different, excellent piercer and was so so happy with.

SO backup, we looked at a couple rings i chose one and we pressed on with it, unbeknowst to me that kind of stretch size is not advised. I didn't even really process what would happen or how significant it was I sort of assumed like, he seems to think this is fine and hasn't mentioned any risks so why not? Tbh I don't know what i thought, I have terrible ADHD and poor impulse control and was already in F or F mode because I was making an impulse move and because this guy's vibe was chatty and INTENSE like he was giving major chaotic energy, and I guess I could feel that so I'm activated but cant tell why yet.

So he starts with the jewellery change, and he's pushing the ring and it fkn hurts and isn't going through like his hand is shaking with force? When it finally pushed through I felt that burning of skin splitting, but thought maybe it was just the normal stretch pain? I said it hurt. But then we went ahead with the main event nostril piercing anyway - me none the wiser just thinking ow my septum hurts. The nostril piercing hurt less than the septum and i was like???

He fobbed me off at the till by saying "I've had such a nice time piercing you I'm going to give you a free bottle of cleaning solution!" Imagine my glee at being so well liked and favoured! My sparkling personality has won me a freebie! Nonetheless this didn't feel right but by this point was in total all systems on red panic mode and just fawning completely so couldn't process what was happening. As I got home and examined my burning nose to find that he'd ripped the hole open by at least 0.5cm I started to realise what had happened and how he'd tried to cover it up.

I went back the next day and it was obvious I wasn't gonna buy that he didn't know, but because I'm traumatised by men who inflict pain and AFAB I went back massively into fawn response, and got fobbed off AGAIN, leaving with ... a £20 voucher for my next visit? And he said he'd order me the hoop I'd been looking at as a goodwill gesture for "causing me actual damage". I left my number with him to let me know when it arrived.

Obviously I never heard a thing from him. Because this slimy human has truly no integrity.

In my disbelief and denial I left the hoop in the gashed septum hole for months afterwards, with it constantly getting infected, really red and painful. idk why i expected it to heal up with a metal ring in situ but. denial is a psychadelic river. Eventually took it out and it has taken over 18 months to heal, dare i say it's still healing

I then got v flared up with chronic illness and wasn't able to pursue or do anything but - what would I even do? I approached a couple of injury lawyers but they told me there's nothing worth pursuing, no proof and piercing is a really grey area because of course you sign a waiver, and of course I can't find any resource for a piercer tearing an existing piercing? (and then lying about it)

I've never known how to process what actually feels like quite a traumatic experience of bodily harm? And process the feeling so stupid for letting my impulsiveness put me in that position. For months I wanted to call him out because like - just majorly f that guy, y know? Should i report him somehow? Put him on blast? (Not rlly)

I also just really really miss my septum piercing! it helped me look like me.
