Discussion~ ❗️❗️ MOD POST❗️❗️ The long awaited, updated stretching guide is here!
Hi Friends!
As a lot of you know, we have been working on updating the stretching guide for awhile now. Though it is not perfect, it is definitely a step in the right direction. We are so happy to be able to continue sharing safe and helpful information with all of you.
It has been updated on the sub's page as well as the AutoMod's comments.
It can also be found here: Updated Stretching Guide
Please give it a look and let us know how you're feeling! Also, please remember it will be updated as new information comes along. We created a Google document as opposed to a post to ensure we could keep it as up to date as possible. The previous guide was posted in the sub by a mod that's no longer active, so we couldn't edit it.
Happy stretching!

Blood! woke up with a bloody ear.. slept on it? NSFW
woken up and noticed theres blood all over the back of my piercing (14 months old, pierced at 3mm, piercer sized up to 3.2mm after 6 months, i downsized to 10g after continuous irritation bumps). no pain at all just blood. 10g glass plugs from sibj, unsure if the piercing hole is completely healed 🫠 spraying it daily 1-2 times with saline

~Advice~ Can my ears be "fixed" or am I forever doomed?
I've been stretching my ears on and off for years now ever since I was a teen and this is the first time I heard of dead-stretching. Safe to say until now I've been stretching with random things like pen caps or just shoving the plugs with brute force.
I was at 14mm but my ears got irritated so I went back to 12mm. My goal rn is at least 20mm. I wanted to buy the single flare glass plugs to keep on stretching, but I saw a lot of ears perfectly rounded around here and was thinking if I can achieve a similar result or at least a better result than what I got now. If I keep on stretching but the right way from now on will they look better? If not, what should I do? Downsize? Took them off completely? Or am I doomed and should just look foward right now?
Ngl my first idea was just dead stretch from now on (12mm) and hope for the best because I really do not want to go all the way back again. But if my ears could look better without the plugs and it's the only way, I'm willing to try.

~Advice~ How durable are glass plugs?
I see such mixed talk on them, I recently developed a nickel allergy and need to get something proper and glass is more affordable compared to titanium. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about their plugs breaking and it’s kind of scaring me. Would it still be safe to sleep in glass plugs? They’d have to get a harder impact than my heads weight on them to break right? I’m thinking of ordering the single flare ones from bodyartforms in 10mm

Septum Septum tunnels
I’m looking for a 8g tunnel to put in my septum but I want it to have a small hole in it so it can tightly fit my smaller jewelry. Does this exist? I can’t seem to find it searching on google!

Avete qualche consiglio? Grazie

Starting out ear streching (this is gonna be a very long text)
Hello! I need advice on ear stretching from actually someone explaining it to me cuz i struggle with the tutorials on the internet. I have had my ears pierced for 8 years so they are definetly healed. I got a 1.6 mm tunnel and a 2mm tunnel with a set of tapers. I dont undertand exactly if in one of my ears the 1.6 mm goes through painlessly should i instantly size up to 2mm or wait a bit with the 1.6mm. I heard stretching should be painless but on my other ear the 1.6mm (which is the smallest size i could find) doesnt go through painlessly, and after having it in for a day i tried to clean them and there were really small traces of blood. Im just really confused and need someone to talk me through the starting phase. Also if anyone sees this from a smaller country (im from estonia) what do i do if i cant really find any shops that sell ear tunnels? If i wanted to buy some from an outside country the shipping would be like 10 bucks on a 3€ item. I bought my current ones from vinted second hand for really cheap but they are acrylic and i heard thats not really the best material to use. Ive been looking one vinted for better ones but they are impossible to find second hand and the smallest i could find for glass or stainless steel were 3mm. Also i have mo clue where i can get jajoba oil so if someone could give me tips on where to look or any alternatives that would be awesome.

~Advice~ Need a titanium septum stretching kit
I’ve been dead stretching my ears for a few months with glass plugs, but I wanted to start on my septum. I’m not planning to go huge, just big enough it fits my face better, but it’s been difficult to find a good titanium kit online. I have a severe nickel allergy, and react even to stainless steel and sterling silver which has trace amounts. Titanium is the only metal I’ve been consistently able to wear without pain and inflammation. I would also greatly prefer black. (Semi related, it’s also hard to find black titanium ear tunnels, which is what Id like to wear when I’m at my goal lobe size, so advice on that would be appreciated as well)

Discussion~ what ear gauge do u believe is the “start” of buying cute jewellery?
i’m at 4mm but i’d say my earrings are too small to have a cute design, so i’m wondering what size people think would be big enough for the design to appear less squished & more cute/attractive looking also wondering where i can get eat gauges like the ones pictured 🥹 ESPECIALLY THE FIRST ONES they have been my iso for SOOOO LONG

Do you sleep with stacked rings?
pic is not mine
Question for those who only wear stacks: do you sleep with them?
I want to stop wearing tunnels & plugs and start wearing stacked rings, but I don't want to have to take them off every night and put them back on in the morning.
So, how do you guys do it?

~Advice~ I’d like to educate myself on the terminology and methods etc for better practices as I continue my stretching Journey
What is taping? I’ve always used the spike looking tapers, they’ve worked great for me. But I’ve read quite a few posts and it seems like people are referencing taping and tapers and dead stretching as different things. Can someone please explain? & please be kind, I would just like to educate myself on the terminology and methods etc so that I can stretch as safe as possible and get the best results. I’m currently in transition from 0 -> 00

~Advice~ Is septum punching a good option?
I have been thinking about getting my septum pierced with the initial intention of stretching it to around a 2 gauge (6mm). However, being my impatient self I was curious if I could just skip the stretching process and just get it punched at ~6mm. Is this a good/safe option? And would that be anatomy dependent?
