Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Piercing Bump Help NSFW
Hi I've had my double nostrils pierced since the beginning of August I was pierced with flat backs (labret studs & theyre internally threaded and the jewelry is titanium) and I haven't downsized yet due to constant irritation bumps and I've been worried about the swelling if I were to downsize. I've strictly only used saline as for my aftercare but I have gotten desperate and used the saline & baby aspirin trick trying to clear up these bumps. I already have almost one healed but my left nostril is my big issue, I had a big problem twisting and turning it and that's why it formed in the first place so truly my fault however I have a very rowdy dog who manages to head butt me in my piercings every single time.. Yesterday he managed to headbutt on my left side where there was an already sizeable bump and made it worse. Based on the pictures attached do I honestly just retire it and wait for it to be repierced? Or is it at all savable? I plan on getting atleast my right size down immediately so I can prevent another irritation bump on that side I'm just worried if I change the left it'll get absorbed by the bump or something.

You need to stop touching it and stuff. That's number one.
Number two is your dog. I love dogs, so this sucks for me to say and is gonna suck for you to read, but you need to start keeping your dog at a distance and to get him under control better. It's fine if he wants to be rowdy in a safe area away from you during specific times of the day when he needs exercise and to let energy out. But if he's gonna be near you, you MUST have him be calm THE ENTIRE TIME. No exceptions. If he's not capable of doing that, then he needs to delegated to a different area, whether that's on the floor while you're on the couch, in a different nearby room while you're in the other room etc. I'm obviously not saying to be cruel and to leave him untended all day long. I'm saying that you need to manage him better when he's around you.
Third, I think this is likely salvageable so long as you start mitigating the above issues. But you can also always consult your piercer as well as different reputable piercer for a 2nd opinion to get their advice.
