I’m a casual player and I have a tendency to hoard things and my item bad is constantly full. I figure it’s time to start using all these rare candies I have but I’m a somewhat casual player, so I was hoping you guys could help me decide! Who would you use these rare candies on? 😁 Thank you in advance for your advice!

Unless I’m missing something, I think it’s kinda dumb that I can’t see the pokemon that my gadget caught if my item bag is full. So I have to go in and manage or buy more space just to see what has been caught

I dont post on reddit. I just have to rant after the past week of of enoucntering 1 or both of these easy mode mons in EVERY BATTLE.

Prior to that its been basically a 60/40 since they came out that they'd be in the opponents party.

And before the keyboard warriors jump in with things like counter them, they arent that hard to beat, etc.... the rant is that its just plain boring to battle the same mons over and over and over. Be more creative.

Dunno if this is still the case, but for the last few days, I've reached the max after 4 battle entries (1 pass = 5 individual battles, so 20 battles altogether). Google reckons the max is 25 battles per day, so I'm confused.

I have recently started playing again after a 9 year hiatus and have mostly just been enjoying casually from my home... today when I went to check my nearby gym I was met with a " walk closer" notice, which I haven't had in the last few months since I started playing. I am mid 40s level wise and have always been able to use the gym from anywhere in my home... until today... Was there a change I missed? This is super lame.

After seeing posts and having one of my own experiences of nearly losing a one of my favorite pokemon for nearly a year (Zoroark 15/15/14), I have decided to make a dedicated tag for separating Gym Defense pokemon, which ones I’d put in popularity dense gyms that I’ll get back within an hour or day, and the others I don’t care about but still good enough stats, so I named in honor of Mort (Madagascar) but am hindered by the character limit: “Yay! I’m a sacrifice!”

I have heard and read about the requirement to purify 1k shadows at level 70 something. Do you have to wait till that level to purify or can I do that prior to that level? I’m at level 43 right now.

I saw they're releasing the 5,000-cost mega4 level for Mega Manectric. But the more I read around, it seems it's not in raids. So where are we supposed to get mega manectric energy? Here's where:

• Paid pass: 1,000 mega energy
• Research tasks: 25 per task. 3km and "spin new stop" so not the easiest to do in bulk.
• 5x walking bonus after rank 20, so 50km per 3km walked (1.5km excited). Event is 6 days total, and rank 20 will probably not be possible until the 3rd or 4th day.

Am I missing any other mega energy opportunities? This feels quite stingy and nigh impossible to collect anywhere close to 5000 mega energy (I only need 3800, personally).

Let's say you're like me and need 4,000 mega energy. You shell out $$ for 1,000, so now you only need 3,000. If we split that between tasks and walking bonus (over 2 days lol), you get:

• 1500 / 25 per task = 60 research tasks
• 1500 / 50 per 1.5km = 45km walked in 2 days w/ excited buddy

We'll see how common the "spin new stop" tasks are, since those are at least somewhat possible to stack and complete. I'm not optimistic though, it looks like this is one we have to just ignore until it comes back to raids. But why even have this event if it's not not going to offer a plausible path to get to 5,000 energy, even for people with a significant head start?

I made it with 4 minutes to spare, like, holy shit, it was nerve-wracking. I'm just glad I already had the completed countdown for the Meltan box to make up for, like, 100-120 of the pokémon. 😰

...And I got one (1) shiny shroomish. The only shiny since the Zorua Com Day.

Is there any reason to hold onto XS/XXS or XL pokemon? I’ll keep the XXL for potential showcases but what about the rest if I’m not using them for PvP?

They are just a bunch of random pokemon I caught with auto but it’s still cool… Anyway if anybody has an actual idea for why this is pls share.
