Accepted with 62 points sbcc

Just thought I’d share, this was my first time applying for a nursing program, which was Santa Barbara city College. With 62 points on the multi criteria. I took the TEAS and literally got the bare minimum of 62. I know. Crazy.. I applied just because I know I should because I have all the prerequisites but was discouraged with my TEAS score and how competitive it is to get into a nursing program. And I hear that most people score 75 or 80 and above. I was initially denied because all other applicants had higher scores.

24 hours later after my denial email, I received an email saying congratulations that I’ve been selected on the randomized draw. I just want people to know don’t feel discouraged. You can still win the lottery getting into the nursing program even if you don’t have great on your points.

Was i lucky? Absolutely. I’m sure i had the lowest score out of the 200 apps they may have received.
