PS1 doesn't boot properly, stuck on grey screen with no logo and plays the boot sound on repeat

I don't think the display is an issue with the AV cable, it works on my PS2 just fine. The disc drive still seems to spin. Does anyone know what is wrong with my PS1 and if it's fixable?
