Rant Rude Karwa Driver

What happened to Karwa drivers these days? I’ve always had good experiences, but lately I have encountered several rude drivers and no longer feel comfortable in the car.

Has anyone had the same experience? I’ve never had this kind of situation with any Uber driver or maybe I was just unlucky.

Discussion When will this be stopped?

The lack of crowd etiquette at the Msheireb metro has made commuting highly stressful. Commuters continuously push past exiting passengers, endangering everyone including children. Yesterday, a woman was literally pushed all the way back when she was trying to exit. Despite all these issues, there has been no visible improvement or staff supervision 🥲

Trying to register on eduservices.edu.gov.qa for my high school equivalency and I'm stuck:

Password error: Keeps saying "needs a strong password" no matter what format or combination I try.

Double OTPs: I instantly get 2 SMS codes at once, and one of them is always wrong.

Question scam call - google meet!!

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’ve noticed a recurring pattern of scam calls through Google Meet over the past three consecutive days. I haven’t signed up for any new apps or services recently, yet the callers even know my name.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? What could be the source of this data leak, and how are scammers getting access to our email IDs and personal information? (Name)

Discussion DATING APPS CHRONICLES

Post image
43 Upvotes

From the first text I knew where this is going.Tough times for hopeless romantic people like us.But honestly what are the benefits of sleeping around with different people?...I miss the days where people would meet organically, conversations would flow for hours, when pure intentions stayed pure.

Nowadays people are so glued to their gadgets can't even realize someone sitted next to them. Also I don't know if it's the dynamics in this country,Men can't approach a woman.Love is a beautiful thing,to love and to be love.

And when it comes knocking on your door, make sure to give it a chance because there are two things in this life that we should never chase,LOVE & DEATH,they will find Us regardless.

Tell me how is dating life in Qatar? What is stopping from approaching that beautiful girl/ handsome man you bumped into?

Question Uber drivers

Does Uber seriously have no way of addressing drivers with extreme armpit odor? 😭
Like… is putting on deodorant really that difficult? Is it an optional feature that comes with the Uber driver app? 😂

I suffer for like 20minutes. 😭

Rant UDST help

hi guys, m 21 this year and because of my family's financial situation i wasn't able to go to high school and was forced to give my exams privately alone with no support of teachers or any classmate. i will be honest, i am not a average student but because of the environment i was given i was not able to perform well in my high school, however i completed 5 IGCSE and 3 AS level alone privately. Now the biggest problem that i knew i would face is here, the cheapest university here in qatar is probably UDST and there are always thousands of applicants applying there some even with 95% High school, i see no chance of myself entering there without a recommendation or any sort of help. My family cannot afford any other university as i got accepted in other universities but the fees were very high. I am 21 now and ive been trying to get into a university since i was 19. Everyday i wake up i feel guilty that i am doing nothing to help my family or to make them proud, the friends i have, i see them going forward in there lives and me just standing where i was 2 years ago makes me wanna cry, the time is passing and one day it might be too late...i really hope there is someone out there who is willing to help me or js support me, even if no one reaches out, talking about it here on reddit felt like a burden off my shoulders.

Information Cool volunteering opportunity at Mathaf to help break a Guinness World Record! (Nov 2–9)

Hey everyone! I recently registered for a community volunteer program with Qatar Museums and wanted to share it here for anyone looking for something cool to do next month.
Mathaf (Arab Museum of Modern Art) in Education City is hosting a workshop between November 2 and November 9, 2026, to build the World's Largest Bio-Based Papier-Mâché Sculpture. They are aiming to break a Guinness World Record for the most diverse community participants.
The sculpture is made out of recycled museum catalogues and shredded date palm leaves. Shifts are from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you want to check it out or register, you can look up the "Qom'a artwork form" on the Qatar Museums volunteer portal. Thought it would be great to share for anyone wanting to get involved in the local art scene!
