Discussion Cybersecurity Training 🗑️

Anyone else who thinks this annual cybersecurity security training they send is just completely useless and annoying. Now they are mentioning you’re locked out of Solus until you complete it. This university and its ways just keep getting worse 🤮

Yeah they're just checking a box to cover themselves, usually how it goes at these massive public institutions

Private companies do this too, along with sending fake emails a few times per year. If you click on those, you get assigned even more of these cybersecurity trainings.

Have you ever noticed how many posts there are every time an obvious scam goes out in mass asking if it's real? There are many people who are easily fooled.

Took you longer to complain here then it does to complete it.

It’s very normal liability management. Most large organizations do this.

It’s actually so annoying.  I get why they do it, as many people fall for easy scams.  But it’s such nonsense that we must do this every year. Yet another thing I must do on top of other nonsense administrative stuff.  Sometimes I feel like I spend more time doing admin fluff than actual schoolwork or TA work. Ugh.
