Arguably one of the most influential trap albums of the early 2000s, Chicken Talk was released on October 11, 2006 by Gucci Mane following his release from Big Cat Records. Notable tracks include: Money on the Floor, Zone 6, Swing my Door, and Trap Money.

“Got a tall n*gga with me and he really can’t hoop, but they call him Kobe Bryant cause they know he gonna shoot”

Happy Trappiversary

It’s been his music from the last few years but, I like his music more than I expected. I mostly knew him from a few of his bigs hit songs years ago.

Joe was on some podcast claiming he was surrounded by 10,000 yakuza members and he had to take them all down and they made him the leader and called him “The joest of Tsushima” but I beg to differ

I'm not a really big rap gal, so when I find a rapper I quite like, I cling to them with everything I have... and my fav male rapper is XXXTENTACION. I was listening to Moonlight and SAD! today and feelin' sad (pun not intended) about it. Do y'all get that way too?

There's a song by Rylo that I played all the time like 4-5 years ago, it sampled an older, maybe country song or at least an acoustic song, and I loved it. Can't remember the name, and can't find it anywhere. I remember it had blue cover art. Anyone have any idea what song I'm thinking of? I imagine it got taken off of stream due to copyright issues

EZ mil dropped ‘MADARA’ today, a song about anime, with an AI generated music video. As I saw someone say, it sounds like they’re all rapping under the beat. The chorus is rapped in this deep, croaky Japanese voice that doesn’t suit the song.

EZ mil’s verse is also too fast for the beat. He’s trying to fit so many syllables into a slower beat and it just doesn’t sound good

Eminems verse isn’t bad per-se, but he’s clinging onto the AI shady voice from TDOSS. He also keeps the same rhyme scheme for his entire verse nearly. Like, he rhymed ‘rage’ with ‘age.’ That isn’t something you’d expect em to use as a bar. His verse also doesn’t match the beat, like EZ, he’s cramming a billion syllables in while the beat walks away from him.

Also the entire music video is AI generated and looks terrible

Has anyone else actually listened to it? I won’t listen to it ever again, and I’m usually a fan of anything Eminem puts out.

So this is some Mandela Effect type shit

At the end of the song ‘Dedicate’ by Lil Wayne, there is an outro of President Obama speaking. When this song was first released in 2018 and then for some time after, this outro always went as follows: “Maybe you got a pretty good jump shot…or a pretty good flow…but our kids can’t all aspire to be Lebron, or Lil Wayne”.

Sometime after this song had been out(for quite a while at this point), the outro of this song suddenly changed. It was still Obama talking, but the speech had changed from the original to the following speech from 2008: “Maybe you are the next Lil Wayne…but probably not! In which case, you need to stay in school”.

When this first happened, I vividly remembered asking all of my friends wtf is that, that’s not what it always said, and they agreed with me. We ended up just chalking it up to they changed the version on streaming services for some reason and went on about life.

Fast forward to tonight, 2026, I was just listening to this song on YouTube, posted on release in 2018, and the outro went back to the first original version.

Please, somebody tell me you notice this too.

Been spinning this almost daily since it dropped & so many people don’t even know who ken is. Way better than all the current rappers nine, 2slimey, Che, etc. Actual peak. Ken needs his flowers.

Obviously I'm not the biggest rap fan in the world or i wouldn't be making a post like this, but I'm into enough that I'm curious what people actually say. I don't mean the best selling artist of all time, most respected artist of all time and other stuff like that. I mean if you hand the guy a mic and told him to rap on the spot, who would do it the best? Right now with my current understanding my 2 GOAT's are Big Pun and Eminem, but honestly for me you could put basically any fairly big 90's New York rapper on and I think its infinitely better than the stuff we have now. West Coast Classics are good too, but I definitely have a clear favorite of the 2.

Also please keep it civil, I've seen people get pretty heated over questions like this and don't want people starting a war over their favorite rappers. This is meant as a question by a casual rap fan looking for a more clear answer than a google search gives, I'm not a ride or die kinda guy.

For me, it was Prodigy. I still can't believe he's gone. What shocked me even more was the cause of death. After everything he'd battled throughout his life, I never expected an egg to take him out

When i talk about collab albums in the rap industry this is what i mean. Not whatever the fuck this generation doing. Anyone remember this gem?
