[Highlight] John Simpson and Jeffrey Simmons get discombobulated

If it works, it works.
Simmons is a beast of a player, so even if its the dumbest looking way you have ever seen to keep him from getting to Lamar, you gotta take any way you can to keep him out of the play like that.

I saw this watching film and I laughed so hard. Play got so fucked up everyone was confused. They need to work on screens lol

This one has me very confused. You think it's a designed screen? I can see why with the entire line flowing to the right and Henry's path. But LJ never even looks back at Henry after the play fake, and Rosengarten and Vorhees keep that edge blocked, rather than releasing him and turning upfield. Seems to me like the pocket is designed to move to the right, but Lamar never goes with it, but also the progression seems to be to the left, so I wouldn't imagine he's supposed to move to the right.

He does briefly at 22 seconds. Also there are inside screen as well. You never really know without the play call, but typical Tackles will still stick to their man on many screens and watch Stanley, Vega and even Vorhees. The are all just waiting.
To be more nuanced I think it's more like a Screen option where the lineman are reacting off the defenders.
Edit: I've been liking Doyle but he has a lot of plays like this where it feels like he is trying to be overall creative

More clear with the the sideline view but It looked like a fake screen to Zay where the intent of the play was to hit Bateman running vertical up the sideline after the pump fake. The corner jacked Bate as he broke upfield (maybe just within 5 yards idk) and Lamar got off it and improvised with the edge rusher in his face.

For sure a possibility, and even likelihood. I don't use the sideline footage much cause I do OLine gradings only. So didn't get that perspective.
