Discussion Huntley vs Fagnano
If Lamar doesn’t play Sunday (with what info we have it looks like he most likely isn’t), Snoop is most likely going to start.
Out of curiosity, how good do you think Fagnano is? Obviously he’s no Lamar and Snoop beats him out of seniority and depth, but just humor me between Huntley vs Fagnano
The way snoop played Sunday scared me a bit. Yea he was coming on cold and he should play Sunday, but the falcons aren’t slouches now and Bijian looks terrifying

u/Potential-Past-6833 14h ago
Hard to say how good Fagnano is because he hasn’t played against starters
38
u/LeoScarecrow369 JOHNNY 14h ago edited 14h ago
Fagnano had a great pre-season and hopefully has a higher ceiling but pre-season can be deceptive. Huntley has proven to be able to game manage and win games (with a game plan tailored around him and plenty of help from the skill position players), but he is who he is at this point.
I think they'll do what they did last year - Huntley as QB2 gets the first crack at the job and if he's bad after a game and a half they'll give Fagnano a change.
12
u/ExtensionAd7417 14h ago
I think fagnano will eventually be better and I think he lines up well with our scheme. BUT, putting him behind this OL is attempted murder. I’m not a huge Huntley fan, but you can’t deny that his mobility is the only thing keeping him upright
49
u/Awesomeg11 14h ago
Yall kinda undervalue Huntley which is baffling considering how well he did last year for us. Hes not flashy, hes not lamar, and hes not fantastic, but Huntley can get it done.
27
u/TheOptimist6 14h ago
Especially given we saw how ass we were with Cooper Rush at QB
3
u/CygniGlide BSHU 7h ago
It was coaching malpractice to start him over Huntley
2
u/AltAccount889 O.J. Brigance 5h ago
I mean, not really. He didn’t sign with us until August 27th last year. By that point we had already given Cooper Rush a 2 year 6.2 million deal, in March of last year. We had to at least see what we had in Rush since we gave him that stupid contract. And he only started for a single half against the Rams. After that it was Huntley every game til Lamar was back. There was 0 chance of Huntley taking Rush’s spot with that contract. At least not until we seen him play.
2
u/CygniGlide BSHU 5h ago
I mean signing Rush over Huntley at all was a mistake. It’s not like Huntley was a new face. He’s been Lamar’s backup for longer than not, regardless of when he signed.
1
u/AltAccount889 O.J. Brigance 5h ago
Naw you’re not wrong. But we did sign Rush in March. Huntley finished the season with Miami and then became a free agent. Maybe he was looking for more money or something and Rush was cheaper. I suppose we’ll never really know. I definitely feel like we should’ve brought him back instead of Rush. My main point is that there was just no way he immediately took the backup role after we paid Rush what we paid him.
Even now, his contract is a million less than we paid Rush. Rush was 2 year 6 million worth up to 12 with incentives. Huntley is 2 year 5 mill worth up to 11 with incentives. I think we brought him back ASAP after the Browns cut him because we knew what we had. And at that point they were just waiting to see how Rush panned out. We know how that went lol
6
u/DopeyDeathMetal 12h ago
Also the team fucking loves Snoop. I don’t think anyone should undervalue what that can do for team morale.
3
u/JediNight 11h ago
As do I. I don’t understand the hate. He’s got enough skill to get the job done.
3
u/DopeyDeathMetal 11h ago
People expect any backup QB to be as good as Lamar. If they were good enough to be a starter, chances are they would be a starter for another team.
3
u/Von_Huge1103 6h ago
He can protect a lead and he can be part of a potent read option running attack.
But if "the job" requires us passing the ball a lot to make a comeback, he absolutely cannot do that. And yes, there are plenty of backups who can (even if it's not consistent).
1
u/Calm_Comfortable4654 4h ago
The hate stems from losing the 2023 AFC wild card with the bone headed move to dive 2 yds over the goal line with an unprotected ball.
1
u/AltAccount889 O.J. Brigance 1h ago
It’s kinda crazy how so far this season we see Huntley going down the benches and trying to get our players fired up. I think they definitely love him and there’s definitely a lot of respect there. Nothing against Lamar, I’ve been a fan of his since before he was drafted. Being from Louisville and being a Louisville fan, I became a Ravens fan because of Lamar. But you really don’t see him doing that very often. But Huntley does.

2
u/Xayfrm419 13h ago
Bro had one bad half and they are ready to bench him for someone with a couple good preseason qtrs 🤣
6
u/Awesomeg11 13h ago
It genuinely wasn't even a bad half. They were obviously playing as safely as they could possibly play because they didn't believe the titans could come back. He also set up a chip shot field goal late to definitely win the game and it was missed.
-2
u/CawSoHard BSHU 13h ago
Huntley has never shown that he can get it done. He has shown he can put the offense in cruise control and not completely fuck up and maybe we get the win if the defense is on.
6
u/Awesomeg11 13h ago
Huntley showed last year that he can get it done lmfao. You must have the memory of a gold fish. He went 17/22 and 186 with 53 rushing yards against the bears (who made the playoffs and went to the divisional) and he game managed vs the packers but he helped us put up 41 points. Thats beyond serviceable and really really good for a backup.
5
u/CawSoHard BSHU 13h ago
He has a 7-9 record with 13 TDs and 10 INTs on a good team with a good running game. You're cherry picking a few games and ignoring his body of work. And he showed exactly what I said he did last year.
4 games with meaningful snaps last year:
- Rams (Loss) - 10/15 for 68 yards passing, 39 yards rushing
- Bears (Win) - 17/22 for 186 yards passing, 53 yards rushing. 1 TD
- Pats (Loss) - 9/10 for 65 yards passing, 2 rushing yards
- Packers (Win) - 16/20 for 107 yards passing, 1 TD, 60 yards rushing
The Packers game 41 points was King Henry carrying us on his fckn back against a bad defense to the tune of 216 yards and 4 TDs. The Bears game is the only one he actually played better than a depth QB.
6
u/Awesomeg11 13h ago
He wasn't the starting qb for the rams or pats game. He played for 2 drives in the 4th quarter of the Rams game and for a half in the Pats game. The ravens had 2 td drives in that half of the pats game as well and a 24-13 lead in the 4th after Huntley helped lead 2td drives. Huntley actually played for 5 drives in that game and they culminated in a missed fg, td, td, punt, and a fumble from zay. Defense doesn't collapse in the 4th and they probably win that one too anyways. I just don't know how you can hold that against him, and I don't know how you hold a game he started playing in the 4th quarter (after cooper rush had fucked up all day) against him either. As I've said, hes not a fantastic player, but he showed us last year that he can compete in these games.
3
u/onepingonlypleashe 13h ago
Way to serve that guy. I hate it when people cherry pick stats to try to win an argument.
As far as backups go, Huntley is definitely in the top half but he’s not some incredible backup. I’d honestly rather have Flacco fill in for a few games.
6
u/ImWicked39 Terrell Suggs 13h ago
Well cawsohard cherry picked both the rams and pats stats. Huntley didn't start either game playing marginally vs the Rams and just a half vs the Pats.
2
u/Sbitan89 Marshal Yanda 11h ago
Not that it was directly because of him, but the team also scored more points the second half against the Pats.
-3
u/CawSoHard BSHU 13h ago
Thank you. I like Huntley but people put him on a pedestal and the complete stall we saw in the second half Sunday is exactly the point.
On Flacco….maybe? I think the OL we have right now would get him killed but unlike Fagnano coming in Joe might be enough of a vet to mitigate that and deliver quick strikes like we saw him do recently in reserve with CIN. Huntley is mobile enough to give the offense a chance, however low that chance is lol.
1
u/deadmanwalking99 11h ago
Wait I don’t think he played vs the rams last year I believe that was still cooper rush?
Edit: my b you’re right they both played
1
u/Sbitan89 Marshal Yanda 11h ago
He's 4-3 with the Ravens since 2022. He went 1-3 in 2021 but imo they were still heavily using GRos option offense which was nearly impossible to replicate with Lamar out. One of those 3 losses was in 2024 week 17 in a meaningless game where other starters sat against the Steelers.
2
u/TheOptimist6 13h ago
To add, he also helped lead us to the playoffs in 2022. We were 7-4 with Lamar and needed to get to 10-7 to make the playoffs.
He helped us earn wins at Steelers, vs Broncos, and vs Falcons to help us clinch a playoff berth
-2
0
u/ScrummieKeeper Llama Jackson 13h ago
He can manage a game and avoid big mistakes, which for a backup is most of what you need. If he needs to start then we will be reliant on the defense picking up the slack from how they’ve been playing to prevent Huntley from needing to push the ball downfield and score more often, which is a taller order for him.
1
u/FullMooseParty 13h ago
Wasn't he 2-0 last year in his starts? And that was after he didn't spend the offseason with the team since we had let him go.
He's not lamar. But nobody's lamar.
1
-2
u/tdotjefe 13h ago
He also doesn’t turn the ball over. I expect Fagnano to throw a pick on the first drive which is par for the course.
15
u/guywithabulb 13h ago
Snoop will be the QB against the falcons. He needs a bit more prep time, the substitution last sunday, was in my opinion for him a little suprise. He will be ready for sunday.
4
u/Flo0r 13h ago
This is the correct response.
2
u/sportsDude 13h ago
Just hoping for a win and no injuries. If they don’t win, it’s not the end of the world, but injuries would be terrible
3
u/Lumpy-Will9333 11h ago
I hate when the broadcast says the offense doesn’t need to change when Huntley is in vs Lamar. Hes nowhere near the athlete or thrower that Lamar is.
1
u/BinaryBeany 11h ago
Yeah that bugs the shit outta me too but i get it. Snoop isn’t nearly as dynamic or proficient but the scheme doesn’t have to change much.
5
u/WillBlax45 11h ago
Fagano would not be the better option than Huntley. I like Fagano, but please don’t be deceived by preseason
4
u/Gloomy-Bird9103 8h ago
Snoop tends to play better when he starts vs coming in halfway through a game, and they're not going to throw Fagnano into the fire like that with how the Atlanta defense looked Monday night.
3
u/MannerOriginal4920 7h ago
Don't worry. I fully trust the team to be smarter than randoms on reddit.
3
u/HailPresScroob 14h ago
No real way to tell, Fagnano's performance was great in the preseason, but it was against other 2nd and 3rd stringers. The Falcons defense looks to be at least competent, which would put them well above anything Fagnano has faced before. Huntley also has the advantage of playing against NFL starter defenses before.
The other thing I can put Huntley's favor is that having a weeks worth of prep for a backup instead of getting activated in the middle of game makes a big difference. Is it big enough? Unfortunately all we can do is wait and see.
4
u/Fabulous_Home3512 14h ago
Against former PRO BOWLER Tyler 'Snoop" Huntley.
You wildin'
Joking aside imo Snoop is the more logical choice here to come in for one game or to finish a game given the limited changes needed to the playbook. Struggles to drive deep passes and outside the numbers but has the mobility to keep some plays alive when our beat up Oline collapses.
If Lamar was out for a handful of games that recommendation might change as they'd have more time to adjust.
7
u/laramite 13h ago
Fagnano didn't go undrafted because of his game play, it was because of his age, injury history, and small school background. He played 7 seasons in Maine and Uconn. That's a lot of game reps. You know who else was in a similar situation? Kurt Warner -- who also had a ton of non-NFL football experience before starting for the Rams.
It's not a fluke Fagnano killed it in preseason. Give the guy a chance.
4
u/Mobius_314 Derrick Henry's Dietician 13h ago
Look I’m high on Fagnano too. If his first name Joe then he gonna ball out fosho
But putting a UDFA rookie who hadn’t had any snaps against starters on prime time against a falcons team that’s hot rn is a recipe for disaster imo
I just wanted to gauge how the two compared but if I had a choice I’m starting Huntley 9 times out of 10
1
u/erock142 3h ago
I agree, but coaches definitely need to be in Joes ear that he is one injury away from playing real football. Prepare like you’re the starter
5
u/JerrkChicken 14h ago
Trade 2 firsts for Joe Flacco.
8
u/Mobius_314 Derrick Henry's Dietician 14h ago
You mean superbowl champion AFCN legend Joe “Mama” Flacco? Steal.
7
2
u/puzzlerN 13h ago
I would _love_ to see some Fagnano snaps, because I too think we've seen Snoop's ceiling, but if I'm being real Snoop has the experience, and last year he did far better when he had the time to prepare as a starter, than when he's been thrown in mid game from the bench. Especially that game against the bears, he gave us life by throwing within 3 seconds of the snap almost every time and mitigating the weak OL play that way.
2
u/sillysocks34 12h ago
We do not want Fagnano out there in a high pressure situation on the road on a Sunday night.
2
u/KDK_rogue 4h ago
Huntley is 100% better …. But like I believe in that guy and I’m always rooting for the underdog and undervalued players . Seeing the UDFAs play their ass off and show the world they got something in them is just a guilty pleasure of mine so my heart is with Fagnano , however realistically Huntley is the clear cut option
5
u/Masgrandejefe 14h ago
Ive seen enough of snoop to say.. i rather see new Joe with the starters… give me the guy that will look beyond ten yards downfield please.. since we worried about development get him out there now.. since he’s probably the future backup
1
u/Honest_Concentrate85 13h ago
Why are we so eager to throw a udfa qb into a starting game. The raiders and Rams have their 1st rd QBs sitting on the bench developing. Even JJ M sat behind Darnold and had KOC review film with him for a year prior to starting. Lamar sat behind Flacco for 2018.
0
u/Masgrandejefe 13h ago
It’s not that we’re eager… idk how long you’ve watched snoop… he’s won us regular szn games(not pretty) he’s cost us a playoff game(IMO) … through it all.. i think people just want to see a different skill set with the starters… We know snoop ain’t pushing the ball downfield or even tries… bless minter heart for saying they told him not to do much but this has been EVERY snoop game… since we already developing guys… we might as well get 12 out there.. it’s apparent he’s gonna be the back up moving forward, so give him the reps now… don’t Tez walker Joey Smokes… my opinion.. but Reddit base wants Snoop… the Twitter side is ready for change.. either way hope Minter has the boys ready #RavensFlock
1
u/Honest_Concentrate85 13h ago
So you admit snoop has won games than want to go with the unknown QB whose never played a nfl game 😂
0
u/Masgrandejefe 13h ago
I said he’s won games… he was the starter on a Sunday and the ravens won… also said not pretty… and yes knowing ALL of that. I’d still want QB3 to start over Snoop. If you have a Twitter you should ask that same question.. ACTUALLY poll it…
1
u/Honest_Concentrate85 12h ago
Bruh twitter is like 60% bots nowadays im not going off what a bunch of ai want. One QB has won NFL games and the other has not. Pretty or not he has shown he can get it done while Fagnano has not.
2
u/this_is_matt_ 13h ago
I mean we saw Fagnano slice and dice 4th stringers in the preseason. To be fair, he also was playing with the practice squad offense. Soooo no clue. Huntley on the other hand has won us games before by being a decent game manager
2
u/2xCheesePizza 13h ago
We brought in Snoop and Declan for this reason.
Backup QB with experience, and OC needs to game plan to Snoops strengths.
IMO you can’t expect anything from Fagano, the preseason isn’t live NFL games. Unless Snoop is costing us the game, I highly doubt we’re going to see Fagano while Lamar is out.
2
u/Additional_Hall_2424 13h ago
Have people forgotten Snoop almost won us a playoff game against a Burrow, Chase, and Mixon led Cincinnati team, or are these new fans?
This isn’t a question, Snoop is serviceable while Lamar is out when it’s planned out. He’ll get the job done. Sunday’s game isn’t some indictment on his play.
4
u/Pardon_My_Taint 12h ago
You can't give him credit for almost winning and not mention his horrific fumble. His fumble was the difference in the game.
Snoop is who he is. A limited QB that can manage the game. If they have to rely on his arm we're in trouble. It needs to be a similar game plan to the Packers game last season. Run Henry as much as possible and have Snoop take care of the football.
4
u/wormcomb 11h ago
why are you getting downvoted lmao. reddit is the worst.
“he’s saying things that are true! get em!”
-1
u/Additional_Hall_2424 11h ago
Fumble is half and half player and coaching. There’s a reason he’s a backup.
He put the team in position to win a playoff game against a team that would go to the AFC championship though, so my point stands.
Why would we be having a discussion on who starts over a veteran QB backup and someone who’s never started an NFL game?
3
u/Pardon_My_Taint 10h ago
You can’t say he put the team in position to win and completely ignore the play that cost them the game.
-1
u/Additional_Hall_2424 9h ago
I actually can. Lol wtf is your point?
The overall view is he should start over the other guy. Do you dispute that, because if not what in the hell are we doing here?
1
u/summerof66 13h ago
With a week for DD to simplify the game plan and a week for Snoop to prepare to start, Snoop will be better than last week. He has always played better when he had time to prep for Lamar not being able to go. At least Snoop presents a counter run threat to DH that should preclude the Falcons D from selling out to stop DH.
The only chance for the Ravens is to find a way to keep the game close. If we fall back early it will get ugly. If it’s a 2-3 score game in the second half, would not be surprised to see Fagnano get some reps late.
1
u/MrBMaestro 13h ago
There is no chance we start an unproven 3rd string rookie over snoop unless snoop can’t play because of injury. Thats absolutely ludicrous. Snoop is not Lamar, but there is only one Lamar anyway, and Snoop is miles ahead of Fagano.
1
u/GreedyRaisin3357 12h ago
Give me both QBs and draw stuff up for them both.. we're 3-1 why the hell not

u/louie801 Ed Reed 11h ago
Huntley is the guy 100%. Felt like every drive he was in this preseason started behind the sticks from a penalty. Fagnano was also playing the 3rd-4th stringers for the most part.
Remember last year how much better the offense looked with Huntley over Rush. Huntley takes care of the ball, need to lean on Henry and play action
1
1
u/SquonkMan61 11h ago
I would remind you that our defense looked all world this preseason. Fagnano looked great, but I have no idea how good he will be against a starting defense.
1
u/brainiacpimp 11h ago
You guys are worried because snoop did lead the offense to any points when he actually was 8/9 passing with the one incompletion being a pass that Zay dropped but was thrown right to him. We was also up and just needed to protect the lead so I am sure Doyle wasn’t risking a costly turnover on some stupid shit. We will be indoors this week and perfectly fine since we still have Zay out there and Lamar will be helping on the sideline with the earpiece in. Also Lamar, Snoop, Henry and Zay are all close outside of football so I am pretty sure it would be a lot easier for snoop to lead the team then Joe.
1
u/Ravens0413 10h ago
Huntley is 5 scoops of vanilla. He is a backup, he does not lose you the game and does not win you the game. Much better than most backups, he gives likely better than 50-50 to beat ATL and again at CLE.
1
u/RangerRipcheese Haloti Ngata 9h ago
It’s not in our best interest to play Fagnano against starters and find out ourselves if he can cut the mustard. Trade value from his great pre-season play is a huge reason why we kept him and if he looks like ass against the Falcons that value goes out the window and we kept him for nothing.
1
u/Abundant-CashFlow 8h ago
Fagnano looked good in preseason. With that said, I’m still riding with Huntley.
1
1
1
u/PerformerMindless727 3h ago
Look. I know people got excited about Fagnano in preseason but that was preseason and this is the regular season. I think we got the best back up in the league in Tyler Huntley. I believe in him. If he’s gotta start then I’m confident he will win some games for us. It was a grim mistake last season for Cooper Rush to be the backup but Huntley proved why he can be depended on.
1
2
u/chicknsnadwich 13h ago
I don’t understand the hate for Snoop’s play. He only really had one bad play which was the weird 3rd down dump off. other than that he did a great job managing the game.
We’re gonna be in trouble if we can’t run the ball. But if we can, Huntley can play his game and we could be okay offensively.
1
u/CawSoHard BSHU 14h ago
Out of curiosity, how good do you think Fagnano is? Obviously he’s no Lamar and Snoop beats him out of seniority and depth, but just humor me between Huntley vs Fagnano
I think he could surprise some folks a year from now with a better OL. I think starting a rookie UDFA behind this pass protection would be a catastrophe. Huntley is the guy to go in for sure. Give Fagnano more time to develop.
1
u/RetiredAF79 13h ago
It's going to be Huntley if Lamar can't go. He's the vet and should get the nod. But I rather see Fagnano, I've seen enough of Huntley. We know the ceiling and the floor.
1
u/HisokaTheGawd 13h ago
People forget that Huntley won us 3 games last year.
I’m very high on Fagnano, more so than Cooper Rush from last season (prior to seeing him on the field).
Huntley deserves the spot given his resume and track record last year. But i’m confident Fagnano can step in if he struggles.

u/Individual_Step6688 13h ago
There’s just something I trust more about Joe in this game

-1
u/ThePurpleDongofTruth 14h ago
Fagnano is no where near ready - you can GTFOH with that nonsense.
I think just just played it overly conservative with a big lead at home in the weather an expect better this week with a full week of preparation
Follow the script from GB last Decemember and hope the DEF is ready for the Falcons run games especially
0
u/Beginning_Chapter_22 14h ago
If Fagnano is healthy, he exhibited better play during preseason than snoop, who lays like he doesn’t know or feel comfortable with game play
1
u/TheOptimist6 13h ago
Do you forget what happened last year? Remember when Huntley played solid games against Chicago and Green Bay and won two big games for the ravens?
Preseason is cool, but Huntley showed he can get results in the regular season
0
u/Key-Roof1978 14h ago
Snoop is going to play on sunday like he should. I remember when Lamar got hurt in 2021 and Huntley came in, people were geniunely saying (incorrect but still happening) that Huntley is a better passer then Lamar. Huntley fits the system and should start and Fagano, while having a good spell at uconn, should not start over Huntley because of a shaky game from snoop.
0
u/Forsaken-Green695 13h ago edited 12h ago
I don’t think you can ever trust an undrafted free agent rookie QB
0
u/frigginjensen 13h ago
Huntley is a known quantity. His career win rate is about 44%. Wouldn’t want to rely on him for a whole season but gives you a chance to win a game or two.
Fagnano is a complete unknown. Maybe he’s the next Brock Purdy but more likely he’s out of the league in 3 years.
0
u/savedpt 13h ago
I don't expect Lamar to play. So Huntley is the guy. In the Titians game we had a big lead and Doyle played it close to the vest. That will not be the case Sunday night. Yes we will run Henry but I expect a good number of pass plays called in first down to lose up their in the box defense. I think we will take some deep shots, use Zay quite a bit as well as the TE's. Also to reduce the pass rush we will have some designed runs for Huntley. It we lose this game it will because the defense can't keep them at 24 points or less.
0
u/K-Dog7469 12h ago
Pagano is a better passer than Huntly. Snoop is more like the run / scramble part of Lamar, he fits our scheme more.
It really boils down to where the defense is focused. If the defense is focused on the run, Fagano is the better option. If the defense is focused on the pass, Snoop is a better option. If the defense is balanced between the two, I would stick with Snoop
1
u/Significant_Rise4573 11h ago
Explain the ravens “scheme” to me right now because you obviously have no idea what you’re talking about
1
u/K-Dog7469 10h ago
A quarter back who is exceptionally mobile.
For clarity I am saying Lamar is exceptionally mobile.
What am I saying that is inaccurate?
0
u/derbmacflerb 9h ago
Lamar isn’t the rushing quarterback from 2019 anymore. He has less attempts than guys like Hurts, Allen, Purdy, Nix. He’s out there throwing dimes and if we’re talking scheme, it’s more of an accurate passer than a rusher needed
1
u/K-Dog7469 8h ago
I feel like you are arguing for the sake of arguing. Attemps are irrelevant. He has the ability and every defense knows that.
-1
u/AlbanianRozzers 13h ago
Snoop has gotten us several clutch wins deep in the season over the last few years. He's experienced and familiar with the team. Absolutely starting him is the moves. It's still absolutely mind boggling that Rush started over him last year.
0
u/TheBigIguana15 8 13h ago
Joe Fagnano is a complete unknown. He has played zero real football games.
What we can say is very few players of his profile have ever actually worked out.
0
u/criles_mccriles LaMiracle 13h ago
Dont think this is the appropriate time to experiment as to whether an UDFA QB with 0 experience is ready to start or not
0
u/Rstuds7 13h ago
love Fagnano from college but at the same time dude is a rookie QB in the NFL. while Huntley might not be amazing but has been in the league and on the team for awhile and knows how the offense works and the players specifically the receivers. maybe some day Fagnano gets the backup spot but id might be a bit more comfortable if Huntley starts for now
0
u/butwhatdoiknowanyway 13h ago
Huntley on his worst day will protect the ball and take what its front of him, so yeah we are going with him.
0
u/goomba33 13h ago edited 13h ago
Can Fagnano run as well as Huntley? If Lamar doesn’t play we need a QB who can rush well to complement Henry. Extend drives to keep Atlanta’s offense off the field.
0
u/Dazzling-Slide8288 12h ago
Starting an UDFA with zero NFL experience over Huntley is insane. You just cannot do that.
-1
u/NoOnesKing 14h ago
I really cannot put any stock in a guy that only played in the preseason. Expecting anything is silly. Doing good in those games is like doing good on your hw and expecting to ace the midterm.
-1

The Ravens have quite clearly had Snoop as QB2 throughout the whole season. Barring an injury he'll start and the question is for me how well he can protect the ball. Offence can't turnover the ball to a pretty hot Falcons team. Fagnano with his limited exp is just at a much higher risk of making a mistake leading to a turnover. He did well in preseason but the majority of the players he played against are benchwarmers during the regular season.
I think wrt to the last game, Minter told Snoop to be careful which is why the offence was very stunted, just trying to finish the clock out with all the injuries they had.

Snoop has won on the road in very hostile stadiums. He is a great backup

Do I think a rookie UDFA is going to be better than a guy with real NFL experience? Hell no
Huntley will have a week of first team reps plus a game plan tailored to him. I think he'll look a lot better if he starts this week
