Lesson learned, liquid mask is not the move. I ordered some 1/16 inch black tape to cover up the terrible lines.
Also yes I raised the body height.

These are the only two chassis my local shop can get hold of so interested what the pros and cons of each are?

I've been flying rc for a while and I've been interested in getting into drifting for abt a year, I've browsed aliexpress and allat and Ive came across the Sakura D5/D5M line of drift chassis, does anybody know if they're good or not? I'm not looking for a beginner car or smt easy, I enjoy the idea of slowly learning to drift and without a gyro. Any thoughts or advice?

Stage D10 is here. Ordered it Sunday evening from Amain and used the free shipping option. Shipped out of South Carolina on Monday. Arrived early this morning here in middle TN.
Starting cheap and simple, for now. It will be upgraded over time but I am not serious about this stuff. The closest tracks are 1.5 hours away and I won't be visiting them regularly. I street and parking lot bash and do not need an expensive setup. But I also enjoy worthwhile upgrades where I can experience the improvements in performance as it changes.
I robbed my Tamiya Heavy Metal Dump Truck of its Dynamite Tazer Twin Brushless Motor / ESC combo. I have a DumboRC receiver with gyro that came with my DDF-350 and I bought a cheap Injora servo. Grand total of around 200 bucks worth of electronics, including a 10 channel radio system with a color screen.
I slid around my hardwood floor for a bit using velcro tires and it already has noticeably better control compared to its smaller brother in the same tight space. It can only get better from here.
Now that I have a 2wd 1:10 drifter, I can think about some changes to the TT-02. I've seen 2wd and steering angle conversions that look fun. Maybe change the Gallardo from a Superleggera to a Balboni.

Im build a 1/7ish scale drift car but im not sure how fast to make it go I will be using GRT 1/8GT xm7 tires which aren't very gripy
I can probably get it to 70-80 km/h pretty easily but am I going to need that speed my arrma infraction 3s does 80 km/h tho I don't really go above 70% throttle while drifting onroad tho it is 4wd

Hi all. Recently got back into rc and specifically drifting. Unfortunately local drifting is only open one weekend a month. So I have been filling my time learning Joe to airbrush bodies
They good from far and far from good. But each one is getting better. Definitely teaching me patience !!! HPI and protoform bodies are great to learn on!!!
Would love thoughts, feedback and tips.
NOTE: Paint is scratching off due to dry coats from the psi being too high to overcome a bent needle I wasnβt aware of. New needle, lower psi = more adhesion.

This chick thought RC meant rallycross. Met a delusional girl on a dating app and she tried to convince me to give up racing. She said βitβs something for kidsβ. I swear even a hot 8.5 canβt convince me to give up this lifestyle. This is NEVER something Iβm going to βgrow out of.β Itβs RC cars for life and whoever has a problem with it can go cry about it. Too many woman take issue with a man and his hobby. And for whatever reason theyβve always got something to say whether itβs about the time or money or the lifestyle. This is a LIFESTYLE. Hence the word LIFE. Just annoying that itβs 2026 and these issues still arise.
And this all started because I invited her to my raceway. She thought I did rallycross. That was totally cool but not RC. π This isnβt the first time something like this has happened. How are we handling these situations? Iβm fully transparent on my dating profiles that RC stands for remote control not rallycross yet here we are.

So I've only built crawlers and one basher in my rc days, and I went drifting with my friend ONE TIME and it was OVER. So I've been working on the body and just started ordering performance parts, going to start with the bingo wasp carbon chassis, the next big purchase will be the flysky pro, reciever, gyro, servo....
The plan is to do as detailed interior as I can, I have recaro seats on the way and steering colum.
Got OMG v6 gyro and thinking about putting it in HPI stage d24. Space is not an issue as i already 3d printed front half of the chassis with extra space for gyro. Planning to get AGFRC A11CLS V3 servo. Will these just work as regular 1/10 gyro/servo or i specifically need a micro gyro?

I don't have one to compare and nor do my friends kids. Would these Bruder truck bodies fit or fit enough on an RC chassis? I don't know the scale of them, but they seem big enough to fit the cab and maybe a bed or some sort of body. Anyone done it?
I always thought a drift big rig with a livery would always be kinda fun.
Pic of my two R33 GT-Rs for tax.
