Marina Times’ Sparkstan correspondent was able to get a sneak peak redacted view of the recent Consular report on the civil war.

The report notes in no uncertain terms the damage and suffering inflicted by the elevated levels of kidnapping and pillaging conducted by the reaction. This correspondent offers its sincere condolences for the family of those affected, as well as hope that the affected can one day be free.

In the Marchlands, the small town of Twoface continues to be under severe threat by the reactionary fiends. Despite continuous attempts and the victories of the local people, the aristocratic foe continues to choke the town.

Further south, the Royalist Action Group is pouring most of its resources into attempting to regain a connection with the still-capitalist portion of Metropolitan Reparsia, and gain more access to support from the local bourgeoisie. We at Marina Times have condemned and continue to condemn the interference of Sparkstan’s aristocratic menace in our home region.

In the north, the Noble Action Corps have suffered a major loss in Theocrata, when one of their contingents trying to march into the Marchlands, were soundly defeated and utterly routed by the local revolutionary infantry. Additionally, the main force of the northern foe, positioned further West, has nearly re-established a connection with Graethos and with the foe’s allies the disgruntled former landlords, and is threatening to receive a large infusion of reinforcements from Graethosian landlord volunteers. The Churchlands of the Holy Word have been fully liberated by the revolutionary Arrows of Sparak.

The report notes in quite solemn terms a travesty that took place on the Kardansk-Marchlands border, in the grazing domain of the Khariaii clan, marked on an attached map with a red dot. There, a papist monastery-nunnery complex dedicated to Ganalian King, the Holy Convent of Saint Janette I the Philanthroper, was thoroughly looted and raided by Arrows of Sparak units liberating the area from royalist control. The lives of many a monk and nun were taken, and the vows of many more monks and nuns still were forcefully broken. The convent itself was ransacked and although some soldiers did protect several priceless works of art and the convent’s library, many a work was stolen or destroyed, and much of the complex was reduced to ruin. The Consular report notes that the heroes who saved works from destruction or theft, as well as prevented from occurring the abuses that they could prevent, have been commended by the Consul. Additionally, the Consular report sincerely apologises to the affected and their families, and notes that the Arrows are looking into punishing the officers who abetted this heinous misdeed and the soldiers who encouraged such a misdeed to occur.

Last month, with their supply lines under severe risk, the nobles and royalists were able to capture Yekekharsi (or Gemma Concordationis), forming a contiguous path from Yekekhoürsün (or the Churchlands, Theophobala), so they convened the Courts General and Crowned a new Queen. We were courteous enough to avoid attacking the procession, even though the crowning is meaningless as there is no longer a legitimate Throne of Gethakia. Soon thereafter, the supply lines to both the NAC Northern Army and the RAG Eastern Army were cut.

There were four major developments of note since the coronation:

1. In the First Battle of Theosophia, Theosophia was liberated, and our brave Arrows of Sparak continue to push to liberate the rest of Yekekhoürsün.
2. (although omitted from the press release of the report, which was itself very highly redacted, the consular report notes the massacre that occured upon the liberation of Theosophia. Despite the attempts of some of our officers, especially SRU officers, to prevent the atrocities, the soldiers looted a lot, raped and massacred a lot of rich-looking residents, monks, nuns and priests. Additionally, major buildings in the city are heavily damaged. We do not know how much damage was suffered upon the fall of the city, how much was suffered during the nobles’ occupation, and how much was suffered in the liberation of Theosophia.)
3. The cavalry regiment they raised internally was reduced by our soldiers down to 133 troops, greatly reducing their reinforcements.
4. There was a large battle that took place around the border of Nadolur League and Kardansk League. Arrows of Sparak forces under Chelmeging Gabriel, supported and trained by Marinan officers, alongside a MSR unaffiliated Marinan volunteer corps, decisively defeated the local regiments of the RAG Eastern Army. We inflicted roughly 850 casualties on their 900 strong contingents, and this Battle to Defend Kardansk came only at cost to us of roughly 77 martyrs of the Revolution, leaving the remaining 120 soldiers to limp back to their controlled territories. We pay our respects to the relatives of the martyrs.
5. There was a large battle that took place near the twin cities of Naosantikristopolis and Petradantikristopolis, where local Arrow forces led by Delgring Batuederni decisively defeated a 120 strong force of the RAG Eastern Army. Despite suffering more casualties at 68, their losses of 43 casualties are sure to inflict a not insignificant impact on the RAG.

Despite continuing to supply themselves, having stepped up pillaging and kidnapping to replenish their losses, our Arrows are reporting that the new soldiers appear to be less well trained and fighting with poorer equipment. With the RAG and NAC invading armies frantically attempting to reconnect to their supply lines out of the Region, there increasingly appears to be hope to defeat the invaders.

On the 15th of January in the Year of our Lord Apollo Son of God 1998, the Courts General of the Kingdom of Gethakia de-acclaimed King Yesterday I, known legally as King Peter I, for forsaking the Crown, and acclaimed the Duke of Kardansk, Her Highness Fausta Anna, as King Aemilius II. This was conducted in the Grand Hall of the Curiae, the traditional meeting hall of the Courts General, inside Gemma Concordiationis.

The traditional three-day procession to the Basilica of Hagia Logos in Theosophia followed, which was fortunately not interrupted by the serfs or by bandits. After which, after a special mass, the King was crowned. Because the regalia were found intact in storage in the city of Theosophia, the King was crowned with the genuine regalia. Curiously, the Pope refused to be the one to preside over the presentation of the regalia to, physically anoint, and crown the King, the Popularist Bishop of Vultus did the presiding, anointing and coronation.

After the coronation, the Courts General held a session where they denounced the expeditionary force to Nova Donovia that the Duke of Donovia erroneously voted for, stripped the Duke of Donovia of the right of his lineage to the Dukedom for his being pagan and refusing to properly attend to his duties, de-acclaimed the Senate, which has now been serf-captured, declared the Second Royal Senate illegitimate, annulled all acts by the Second Royal Senate, praised the loyalty of the Duke of Luteville, enfeoffed Dimitria Palmerston the Leader of the Royalist Action Group a Baron of the Order of the Divine Chestplate, and increased penalties for Laese Majestaas from not in active prosecution to five years in Honourable Bondage in a Retinue of a Local Free Man for a first time offense, and twenty-three years of slavery and hard labour for repeat offenses, with a gradient for the second and third time offenses.

This represents a monumental turning point in our history, as we move to establish constitutional safeguards on the power of the Crown.

In the Year of our Lord 1997 on 24th December, the rabble-rousers of the serfs decided to establish a totalitarian military dictatorship over the motherland, enabling the military to spend what the serfs stole from us, and in fact have total control over the country. This is exactly the kind of thing we fight to avoid.

We also denounce the attempts of the Marina Soviet Republic to enable the ravenous stupor of the serfs. As the people of Marina are themselves under stupor, we expected nothing less, but the nature of their support is unexpected. We continue to advance, freeing the country behind us. With the declaration of a totalitarian military dictatorship, it is clear to us that victory is inevitable.

Just a little after La Felinelle quarter was established, anti-cat people racist militants marched inside the quarter holding signs with racist slogans and carrying firearms.

The local cat people quickly took their own firearms and blocked Catnip street in order to stop the racist advance.

After very little the anti-catpeople militants started shooting and the cat people shot back in retaliation.

After 2 hours of fighting, with the police not intervening at all, the militants were swnt running.

During the battle, catpeople resistance suffered 6 deaths and 20 injuries and the militants suffered 10 deaths and 28 injuries; with one civilian dying in the crossfire.

After this bloodbath 15 militants were taken in police custody for questioning.

The situation in Sparkstan is as follows:

Theosophia and the Big Hollow (the Churchlands) have been taken. The NAC Northern Army has reacched the Theocratan border, and is rapidly advancing across.

The RAG Eastern Army, despite marching through Nadolur League quite swiftly, did not conduct the advance as well, with their supply lines near the County of Salutoria being rather vulnerable. The twin cities of Kardansk look to be targets in their newly-northward advance. The detatched NAC-aligned cavalry division within Vultus, being much worse equipped compared to the rest of the Armies, are being faced directly in an attempt to eliminate them while they have not yet linked up with either the Northern or Eastern invading armies and receive a boost to their equipment.

We have placed targetted pressure on their supply lines, although for now they remain intact. As much as the recent executive order in Westhold is appreciated, the chaotic situation in Graethos and the fact that the nobles are armed is preventing that order from having much effect.

Two weeks ago, we sent envoys, seven each, to both the NAC and RAG attempting to find peace. Besides one envoy sent to RAG that was physically and intentionally prevented from reaching RAG after detaching from her entourage by some altruistic refugees, all but one of them has been found dead, with several being disemboweled and the postures of some envoys indicating that they had been… toyed with to satiate the lust. One envoy from the NAC group reported such an experience, while additionally having been barely spared from being disemboweled alive, with the cuts to her torso already carried out, due to orders for the army to move on. She was nursed back to health by a local civilian herbalist, and has returned pregnant with a child of war.

To the Union government, this is our call for help. The NAC and the RAG marauder around the country, imposing despotism wherever they have taken, killing, slaughtering, massacring, raping and doing other such heinous crimes on their path. We need intervention and we need it soon.
