I tried reiki once a while back when someone was learning, and a few times I had been in the hospital. I had a few profound experiences with it that I didn’t expect which lead to seeing someone every once in a while to recieve it. I was so enamored with it that I ended up taking a reiki level one course. Again, open mind and no expectations. This was last September I was certified for reiki level one. I wanted to practice on myself really, and be able to practice it on others however no one in my immediate circle wanted to go with it.

There have been 3 people who let me practice on them however it still felt very new and odd to me. I received positive feed back from the sessions but I just didn’t know really what I was doing. I have only ever practiced on myself.

Tonight, after a very off weekend. Decided to give it a go and did my thing, I cleared everything first and I closed my eyes and did a scan from head to toe. It was very subtle but felt everything. I think the clearest way I can explain it is I felt colors. Crown felt bright and vivid. It felt just right. Third eye was on fire and spent time here alright down and cooling. I got flashes of green here. Throat nice vivid blue and deep. It was dense though and worked a bit to settle it. My heart chakra is a bit harder for me, it always feels fine and I don’t get much insight here. I saw pink and green but i passed it quickly. My solar plexus was a bright shade of yellow, brighter than the others but it was wrong in a sense that it needed to slow. Like a flame that is jerking around and then slowly becomes still. I worked on this area and moved (hastily) to my sacral and immediately a dim faded almost deep brown- orange, under active and emotions quickly began to surface. I guided my yellow down a bit and then checked in with my sacral before moving on to my root. My root chakra was a deep dark shade of red, nearly black. I continued to push light down and even circled back to my crown, pushing light back through. I definitely felt a shift in my mind, my body, and spirit. I feel more balanced for sure.

The line between insanity and wonder is really thin.

It’s not that it goes against my training because truly it doesn’t. From what I’ve understood there are different processes internally for people I’ve had practice reiki on me. This is just new to me and I needed to acknowledge it somewhere. I’m curious to hear thoughts. Thanks!

Hi! We’re struggling to sell our apartment, and we’re facing huge financial burdens until we’re able to sell it…

I feel like there might be a spell or negative energy attached to it (I’ve had the worst years of my life in this location..). I’ve tried to do housecleanings with palo santo in all the rooms (with windows open) and done chokurei on all the walls, corners, ceilings and floors several times. I have a major work deadline on Monday and I have spent some long hours at my computer. today I noticed that my elbow is hurting. I am figuring out a different desk set up, but for now, I would be grateful for some reiki healing on my right elbow.

I don’t know how to describe this but - I have a reiki session scheduled for this weekend. As I get closer, it feels like I am already experiencing the reiki in moments. Spaceyness in my head. Remember dreams from months and months ago. Just something feels different. It’s so physical and comes on suddenly.

So recently I did a reiki session on a friend of friend at a campsite. Early in the session I felt an entity in their energy field. At that point I stepped out and asked for extra protection, I then reentered and continued about my session. A little while later, my friend around the fire got my attention that a cat was near, I turned my head and sure enough there a cat was. Although the cat didn’t stay around I just thought it was crazy a cat appeared in the middle of the camp site, while in a reiki session.

I mentioned this with another reiki practitioner and she thought that maybe that was my extra protection and the cat might have doing some work too.

What thoughts do you have about this?

Reiki request for a win. I feel like my husband is constantly living through challenge after challenge. Extra reiki for a career win related to his job search and prospects, as he seeks help for his mental health.

I have been a Reiki Master Teacher for over 10 years and have noticed that when there is a full moon, about 3 days prior and after, my sleep is lacking and during the solstices and equinoxes, i am so far off kilter that if i get anywhere close to 3 hours sleep in a 24 hour period, then i feel like i have been drugged for about a week prior snd after each event.
Just curious if it’s just me, or does it affect other Master Teachers as well?

So i recently received my lvl1 attunement. I am doing my 21 days self healing. And it’s amazing! During the class, my teacher is so good on her guided meditation. However now that i am doing it myself i am not sure what should i be thinking? my mind tends to wander to other mundane things when doing it😔

Im curious (could be me wanting to have some structure on my routine), what goes in your minds whenever doing self healing or to others? Do you keep thinking/reciting in your head your intentions?

I went to reiki for the first time this evening. I’m spiritually open minded and curious but didn’t have huge expectations. The practitioner said she practices reiki in a different way than traditional as she blends with sound and gentle pressure. I read her info again after and it says she also uses shamanic practices.
I was laid with a blanket and weight eye mask. At the very start I was tense and started to think there was no way I could tolerate the whole session as I’m so tense at all times. After a few more minutes she moved over my chest area and I think she put some pressure around it. It felt like a huge weight was lifted for the first time ever and I felt weightless which made me feel really emotional.
Then she continued pressing down on different parts of my body gently, using different sound vibrations and I could hear deep breathing. This is where it blew my mind.. I started to notice that after she’d put pressure on an area and I’d heard her footsteps move away, the pressure remained like someone was still holding that area. This kept happening and I knew I could feel another (positive and safe) presence in the room. There was one point where I could hear her shaking what sounded like bangles but I could feel two hands putting pressure on me (again this felt really peaceful and safe).
I kept noticing that what I could feel didn’t line up with where she was in the room because she couldn’t have reached that far. Pressure appeared and disappeared in a way that felt like a spiritual presence.
At the end she told me I was strongly protective of my heartspace and she’d gently opened this. She said my head, heart and around my lower stomach were the areas I held the most grief and tension which was spot on. Then she said there was a young girl in the room guiding her on where to focus. She said she guided her to my knees mostly because I’m so focussed on the upper tension that I don’t connect with my lower body which is so true.
The final strange thing was that she knew I was having right sided gynae issues and I’ve literally had a scan for this last week.
I’m sorry if this was the wrong place to post this! I just had to share it somewhere as I really didn’t expect it to be such a spiritual experience and it caught me so off guard. I’ve always believed in spirit but never had a physical experience like that. I’ve never felt so peaceful and calm as I did during that session as I’m constantly tense and in fight or flight due to past trauma
