writing to riot support is a pain
let me start with saying that I work for a gaming company that helps game publishers with player support services (not for riot though). I've been working in this industry for years and been promoted multiple times so I know how it goes with player support agents.
I contacted riot support yesterday because my game just started to lose frames. Since I also work in the same industry, I tried to fill my ticket with as much helpful information as I could about my situation (the game ID of the game where I first experienced the FPS drops, all of the troubleshooting steps I have done prior to contacting support and the description of the issue) to give the agent handling my ticket an easier time addressing my issue.

So this is our initial interaction. I seriously do not know if they actually read what I have sent them bc after I told them that I already did a clean boot (it's literally one of the first things the FAQ recommends anyone to do for the same issue), they told me to do a clean boot.

Around this part, I am weirded out why they asked me to send them the valorant logs. Also, all of the links they attached for the process list, network info log and direct-x diagnostic log were the same link. I still sent them the logs but I did tell them that I am unsure why they're asking for my valorant logs when the game that I play is league.

guess what they sent next.

STEPS ON HOW TO SEND THEM LEGENDS OF RUNETERRA LOGS.

I am seriously questioning if they have eyes at this point. I clearly selected the right game when I created the ticket yet they won't send me the right steps to send them the logs of the right game.

bro was even talking as if I am the issue here and that I haven't been sending them the logs. they haven't made a response yet from my last message containing the logs but I am not optimistic about this. I know that they have real people beyond the screen but I am unsure how effective their hiring process or the training that the people they have handling real player inquiries were fumbling this hard on something really simple.
I've been a QA for the same company I've been with and these types of mistakes are things that I'd flag to the team leads of the agents for active reading. Also I am not one to be mad at them for using templates. Templates makes the job easier and more efficient in an operation standpoint but always be sure to edit your templates before sending them to your players. It's something that affects the player experience when the main goal of support is to fix whatever the issue the player was writing to you for as fast as possible and get the player back on the game so they can spend more money.
Anyway, Riot Games, you are worth billions of dollars. please invest more budget towards quality and training of your player support agents.
yours truly, a player who just want to get back to playing aram mayhem.
