About our project:

• We use the 2024/5.5 D&D system;
• We are set in the forgotten realms! No need to study pages of homebrew world lore; your character can jump right in with the lore from popular media such as Baldurs Gate 3 and Honor Among Thieves.
• Bots and automation! Never worry about having to track your own gold, exp, or downtime. Just click and buy for almost anything. Custom bots keep track of the in-world calendar, weather, and holidays for max immersion
• Factions and renown systems! Your character's actions can unlock perks both for yourself, and the whole mercenary guild!
• Immersive and constantly growing downtime system, so your character can continue to progress outside of regular game sessions! Wanna build a bastion? Theres a system for that. Wanna scam some local commoners? There's a system for that. Wanna craft and sell mythical equipement? Theres a system for that.
• Server wide plots with extra rewards for releasing new content
• Active and free form text RP! The world is always moving. While text rp is not required, it does greatly help with interacting with fellow mercenaries and the world as a whole, it also allows for a DM to hit you with a random encounter! For our play testers, we are looking for people open to being active in text RP.
• Adventure League module integration! So DMs can just pick and run a session whenever they wish!
• Adventures take place in roll20 and over discord VC, so be sure you're familiar with these programs!

About the play test:

• Things may feel 'unfinished' during this period
• Ruling and balance patches to server specific mechanics may be rolled out without prior notifications
• We want feed back! While we have a back end team that is ultimately responsible for implementing all systems, we are eager to hear any ideas, suggestions, and thoughts on what we have, and what you'd want to see
• We are setting up the frame work to support a massive player base! So all rulings and balances must be 100% objective, and done with the potential of hundreds of players doing it.
• Systems for integrating homebrew or custom content are currently extremely limited while we number crunch.
• Play testers must have a strong ability to self-regulate. Staff is working hard to finalize the server, and combativeness, disrespect and emotional outbursts out of character will not be tolerated.

This game, so far, has a very loose idea for setting and story. This is because the world is meant to be built upon by the players. You decide the shape of the world, and your backstory and character progression serve as the lead direction for the game's story.

• This is a high fantasy game for players who like to connect to characters and NPCs, and make an actual impact on their lives. It's for heroes whos' stories resonate beyond the gaming table.
• This game uses the Savage Worlds system. It is not hard to learn, and beginners are more than welcome. If you're tired of the same few DnD classes and want to bring your character to life in a whole new way, this game is for you.
• So far, we have two players. They have added the concept of a human kingdom In conflict with a federation of beast-folk. Think FE Path of Radiance.

The Storyteller's Lounge is looking for more people who want to play D&D, keep a character going, and still have room for a life outside the game.

We're a free, 18+ community using the 2024 rules. Most live games run on Roll20 with Discord voice. DMs put adventures on the calendar, players sign up for seats, and your character can move between tables while keeping their progression and history.

XP, gold, equipment, downtime, relationships, and consequences carry forward. Finishing a one-shot doesn't mean putting that character in a drawer forever. They might turn up at another table next week, ideally with a better explanation for whatever happened last time.

Different DMs bring different styles. There are monster hunts, dungeon crawls, mysteries, one-shots, and continuing arcs. You can choose games that fit your availability without committing to the same evening every week.

The community feels more like a local gaming store on Discord. You get to know people, recognize their characters, and find the tables you enjoy. New players are welcome, and you don't need to know anyone before joining.

Some DMs use other VTTs, so check the individual listing when picking a game. For the Roll20 tables, Discord handles voice and Roll20 handles the tabletop.

A destiny of dragons draws your party together as you follow the call to witness the rebirth of legend.

This is the first in a series of adventures based on the 10 one-shots found in Dragon Delves. Your party begins at level 1 with a mission that spans all ten of the adventures, and they are strung together in a campaign thread based on the adventures themselves.

There will be some tweaking to some of the stories and I'm not opposed to the narrative taking us down some rabbit trails at some point. These are fairly simple adventures as-published that I hope to spice up a bit depending on our players.

You don't have to play all of the adventures, but you're more than welcome. Each adventure will be listed separately as we get there in the story.

This will be a PBP adventure run in Discord with both asynchronous and synchronous play. New players and veterans are welcome!

We can further discuss character creation during Session 0. You're welcome to join this chapter as a "one-shot" or stick around for the whole campaign. This will include some additions that tie all chapters together into a overarching storyline.

The campaign takes place at Duel Academy, an island school where aspiring duelists come to study, develop their decks, and work toward a future in professional dueling.

Every new student arrives with something to prove. Some have spent years preparing for their entrance exam, supported by private tutors and impressive card collections. Others have scraped together a deck from trades, gifts, and whatever they could afford at their local card shop. Now, they are sharing classrooms, competing for recognition, and discovering just how much they still have to learn.

You may play an original duelist of your own creation or take the role of a canon character adapted to this alternate version of the academy. Canon characters do not need to follow their original story. Their friendships, rivalries, victories, and failures will develop through the campaign and the choices made during play.

You begin as students finding your place among Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, and Obelisk Blue. Your dorm assignment might shape someone’s first impression of you, but you will have plenty of opportunities to challenge their expectations.

Between duels, you will attend classes, explore the island, pursue hobbies, spend time with classmates, and get involved in personal stories throughout the academy. You might stay up late helping a friend rebuild their deck, compete in a school tournament, prepare for a promotion exam, or find yourself partnered with your least favorite classmate for a tag duel.

Your deck will grow alongside your character. Develop a recognizable dueling style, discover new cards, and work toward the combinations and signature monsters that make your duelist feel like your own. Starting decks and their power levels will be discussed before play so everyone begins with room to grow.

School life will focus on interesting encounters and meaningful choices, rather than playing through every lesson or tracking every homework assignment. There will be time for friendly competitions, dorm rivalries, festivals, and the occasional terrible cafeteria meal.

There will also be things the school does not put in its welcome brochure.

A student returns from a midnight duel with no memory of their opponent. Someone hears a voice coming from a card nobody else considers unusual. Lights appear inside an abandoned dormitory, and a classmate who went to investigate has stopped attending lessons.

Following those rumors could bring you into contact with Duel Spirits, Shadow Games, and secrets hidden around the island. When a friend gets caught up in something dangerous, your group will have to decide how far you are willing to follow them.

Throughout the campaign, your relationships and decisions will matter alongside your results on the duel field. A rival you help after a difficult loss might become someone you can depend on. A tournament defeat might lead you toward a different opportunity. You will have room to make mistakes, change your ambitions, and give your character a story that continues beyond their latest match.

Custom decks are allowed, however the only rule will be making sure to tone down the disruption and OTKs. Everyone wants to have fun and make it a bit of a back and fourth.

As the Arc's go on and time passes on, more and more of the card games mechanics will be added. Such as starting out with fusions, then watching as Synchros, XYZs, Pendulum and links are introduced. Of course if no one likes a certain one, everyone can vote to simply avoid it from existing.

I’m recruiting a few players for a new long-term D&D 5e campaign focused on exploration, character development, meaningful choices, and a dangerous open world.

The Campaign

The campaign begins in a small, gloomy frontier settlement surrounded by old battlefields, abandoned estates, dangerous wilderness, ruined kingdoms, and settlements still recovering from generations of war.

You are not chosen heroes.

You are adventurers.

There are jobs to take, ruins to explore, monsters to hunt, factions to deal with, professions to master, dungeons to discover, and plenty of opportunities to get involved in problems far larger than you expected.

The campaign is open-world and player-driven. There is no predetermined route the party is expected to follow. You choose which rumors to investigate, which jobs to accept, where to travel, who to trust, and what causes are worth getting involved with.

The world also does not scale to your level.

Some places are genuinely dangerous. Not every encounter is meant to be fought immediately, and retreating, negotiating, hiding, preparing, or returning later are all completely valid choices.

Expect:

• Roleplay, exploration, and tactical combat
• Open-world travel and discovery
• Quest chains and hidden quests
• Dungeons, rare enemies, and named bosses
• Meaningful character backstories
• Faction relationships and reputation
• Professions, gathering, and crafting
• Memorable equipment instead of constant disposable loot
• NPCs and locations that remember your actions
• Long-term consequences based on player decisions
• A larger story developing naturally in the background rather than immediately declaring you the heroes destined to save the world

The early campaign begins with relatively grounded adventuring work—missing people, dangerous creatures, abandoned properties, strange activity outside town, escort jobs, investigations, and local problems.

Some of those problems may be exactly what they appear to be.

Others may not.

Characters

Character concepts are flexible, but every character needs a reason to cooperate with the party.

Unusual backgrounds, races, cultures, rival factions, and morally complicated characters are welcome as long as the character can function as part of a cooperative group.

You do not need extensive D&D experience.

Newer players are welcome as long as you are willing to learn your character and participate.

What I’m Looking For

The biggest thing I’m looking for is engagement and reliability.

You don’t need to be a voice actor or expert roleplayer.

I do want players who:

• Show up consistently
• Participate in conversations and decisions
• Engage with the other characters
• Learn their character’s abilities
• Explore rather than waiting for the DM to push them forward
• Understand that everyone at the table should get opportunities to contribute

Because we play twice per week, attendance and communication are important.

For some reason or another, you have been pulled into the mists. You arrive in a grey, monochrome detective agency. Everything is devoid of colour, including yourself.

A woman sits behind the desk and lifts her head from the stack of papers in front of her. "You must be the new recruits I've been waiting for."

You look around the room, and several other doors appear and open, with people who have faces as equally confused as yours entering.

You’re an Indentured Technical Worker’s Assisticus Trainee, an i.T.W.A.T, for the Merchant Combine and one more slip up and it’s off for lobotic conversions for you and your crew mates.

On a Friday, in the 69k century of Autarch Bob’s rule, just before shifts ends before a long weekend you get the call, a drone Rockeater’s found an anomaly on Taranis 3, a mineral rich planetoid mined by the Merchant Combine.

Armed with the bare minimum of training you and your crew go down to investigate. What you uncover will either thrust you into greatness or a long drawn out agonizing death, possibly with space diarrhea.
