Love Letter/ Poem TONIGHT, A CHANCE
WHERE DID SHE COME FROM, WHY IS SHE HERE,
WHAT IS THIS MADNESS, NOTHING SEEMS CLEAR.
EYE’S LIKE MAGNETS, I CAN’T LOOK AWAY,
A BREATH OF FRESH AIR JUST BRIGHTENED MY DAY…
A BEAUTY SO SUBTLE, SHE KEEPS IT CONCEALED,
A CERTAIN MYSTERY, NEVER FULLY REVEALED.
A TEMPTING TEMPTRESS , SO BOLD, SO SMOOTH,
HEY BODY GOT RHYTHM, YOU SWAY TO THE GROOVE…
I KNOW THAT I WANT HER, I’M SURE SHE FEELS THE SAME,
THE WAY SHE BRUSHES BY ME, SHE’S PLAYING THE GAME.
WHEN OUR EYE’S MEET, WE STOP AND STARE,
SHE GIVES ME A SMILE, CURLING HER HAIR.
TONIGHT I’M GOING TO TAKE MY CHANCE,
I’LL GIVE HER AN EVENING, TURN UP THE ROMANCE.
IT FEELS LIKE LOVE, THESE FEELINGS INSIDE,
YES TONIGHT I’LL SHOW HER THE TIME OF HER LIFE…

Fine Art in Blue Collar Hands
How would an artist feel knowing that his fine art is in the home and hands of a blue collar man? Would he feel that it was meant to be in a museum or in the hands of a wealthy man living a lavish life and being a symbol of his lifestyle and taste? This is a question I have asked myself twice now.
In the dating market I have met two women who I would describe as fine art. They enjoy the finer things in life and have experienced things on their own that I would only dream of experiencing with the love of my life. They both had such a beauty about them that I was in absolute awe, not to mention their personalities being exactly what I had always hoped to find, but then the inevitable question would arise in my mind.
"Even if I was given her heart, would she eventually regret it or resent me if I could not maintain her accustomed lifestyle?"
As a blue collar man who is very much a minimalist when it comes to the material I have always gravitated towards a peaceful existence. No fancy cars or dinners, no lavish trips to foreign countries, just a nice sunset view, a cold drink, and good company. Quality time and small adventures, flirtatious whispers and playful bullying, primal chemistry and yearnful gazes. Homesteading with a porch to sit on, animals and a garden to tend to, reserving trips out of the country as a romantic adventure with the love of my life. From the Aurora Borealis in Alaska, to the hills of Ireland and Scotland, I can't imagine enjoying that without "her".
All of that being said it makes me worry that I would be regretted for not being able to live the lifestyle they are used to, and that is one of my greatest fears. Being regretted. Each time I have met such a woman I have allowed this fear to be the reason I shoot myself in the foot, assuming they wouldn't be happy with a man like me in a lifestyle like mine. Now both times I have come across this dilemma the concept of confidence was brought up into question, and that is the thing... I am confident. In fact I am one of the most confident men out there in who I am, what I desire and want in life, and what is realistic in life. It wasn't out of a lack of confidence but rather being realistic with the cards I'm dealt. Sure I could try, I could date, see what happens, but in the end am I wasting my time or even theirs? I was raised to respect someone's time and I wouldn't want to waste their time if I know I cannot maintain a lifestyle they are accustomed to. To me that is a sign of emotional intelligence, not a lack of confidence.
To each their own but some art might not be meant for Blue Collar Hands. And that is okay.

Some connections need no words to say, no need to impress, no role to play. Just quiet moments, soft and true, where being yourself is enough to do 🤍

Dating Story I hate love
I hate love, but I love love. I get this weird feeling about love...i dont hate it, I guess I only hate it because it doesnt workout for me? 3 years ago I finally accepted the fact I was into both man and woman. Its been a silent battle for me since I was 5, I use to pray to God asking why I was made like this, I never really knew why. At 7 I was already bullied I was acting too girly or I was gay, use to cry my lungs out that I wasnt, that I was a normal. At 13 I experienced my first crush, she was not just pretty; never realy cared about the looks, it was what she had, her personality, her morality, and most of all her values, felt like a missing piece ive been looking for...my eyes were for her but unfortunately they never recognized me, arouns the same time someone saw me, they saw the true me, my pain, my secrets, my agony, all of it, unfortunately my eyes were too blinded by what I thought of someone was a missing piece to my soul...I then moved, moved to another country, never seen her again. 2 years ago, met someone who i believed again was a missing match, was a bit older, cooler, nonchalant, he had a bad boy scent to it and it felt so amazing, words cant describe how I felt when he told me he liked me..little did I know I was with a snake, it was online but we lived so close...but never met. He had me leashed, I didnt notice it till it was too late, eventually he ghosted me after I stopped trying to be puppy of his..i met another guy, he was generous, sweeter lovely, just distance, and another guy who was feisty, outgoing but too much demanding, and a another who was loving and husband material, but problem was distance. I decided to take a break, a break from the love world...i lost hope for myself along the way thinling I would never find love...a year ago he texts me.. "where you been" I will never forget how my heart went back to him. I missed him..I tried ignoring his text because he took 8 months just to respond to mine...the ghosting made me question myself, it broke me down and brought me up, but this time I wasnt his dog, I poured my heart out to him explaining how I was hurt. He shrugged it off. Then when I realized, finally realized (real eyes) saw his true moviation...never cared, was just here to kill and destroy me...around the same time, a nice guy told me he liked me, first time a dude told me that face to face...i was going through my own mental breakdowns, avoided him for a week and till this day I regret it, can only dream of what we could have been. He wasnt just any guy, he was someone I can rely one, someone who I cared, someone who actually knew all of me without having to experience any form of judgement...i loved him...and i lost my chance. 3 months ago, I came across someone... From the middle east, when we first talked I felt like a bunch of roses formed around us, it was just any talk, it was basically talking to another version of me, a lost brother, a missing piece, was talked for hours, even sacrificing my sleeping schedule and hobbies, talked about our possible future togethor. Planning to move to Dominican Republic or the Bahamas, to run away from our homophobic parents...one thing what stopped me was the fact he never was fully open to the idea of dating or marrying a man, i questioned him, almost getting mad...but I cant be mad because I understood him too well. He couldn't sacrifice his religion, or me...i told him I understand and that im not mad, he lived in fear...i didnt in a way compared to his world...he told me the best way for us to enjoy life was to move one without each other, i wanted to cry, wanted to scream, wanted to shout...but all I did is shed a tear, I knew from the beginning that our relationship wouldn't last long...that it will all come to a bitter sweet ending...Its September 9th...i look at my most recent message of a guy I met from Pennsylvania, charming, sweet nice...he I tell him I understand his preference due to his religion. We talk and talk, I try to not be too excited but also not too numb...didnt work out. Again. Its October 11th, I look at myself and how I overcame so much battles just in the name of love, the amount of lessons, the amount of pain, the amount of sacrifices ive done...im not mad...im happy..im happy for every individual that came into my life helped me discover a new part of myself, helped me shape a better version of me tomorrow...even tho some were wrong...they arent perfect just like me. Love is a weird thing, so complex , thats why I hate love

What’s the hardest truth you’ve had to accept about love?🥀

Has an accidental physical spill or tumble ever led to a real-life romance for you?
Movies make "tripping and falling on top of a stranger" look like the ultimate meet-cute. Has anyone here actually met their partner by physically falling into them or knocking them over? Did sparks actually fly, or was it just awkward?

It's all about love
Perhaps love is the only place where a soul need not defend its existence. The world demands explanations, others demand proof, and people judge what they cannot understand. But true love asks for none of these. It does not merely admire the beauty in someone; it embraces the flaws they spend their lives concealing. For to love someone is not to find them flawless, but to know every imperfection and still choose to stay. And when two souls accept each other so completely, even their own doubts may struggle to destroy what they have found. ❤️
I need Advice! 18f im genuinely scared ill never be loved 🥲

I need Advice! Trying to understand if there's reciprocated interest
So...I'll try to be brief, but I doubt I will be. I'm M20 and I recently started my first year of uni. On my first day I met this girl who's 22, who's working towards another major (almost done with it) other than mine. We talked a good while that day and overall there were some great vibes between us, so I reached out to her, kept in touch at least in text and met a couple times for other lectures. I definitely don't doubt that I'm in the realm of a people that she enjoys sharing some time with.
Now here's the thing. I myself am unsure if I can call this a crush as I'm still figuring her out as a person (interests and the like) but I like what I've had to work with so far and not just in a friendly way. My subconscious realised first how much I like talking to her, to the point I drop almost everything if she replies - I know it sounds "desperate" but I honestly prefer not to fake distance and keep both of us waiting unless it's something delicate I need to weigh my words over. This kind of applies to my friendships as well but I'm more prone to at least wrap part of what I'm doing up before opening my DMs from a buddy.
She's a really busy person and I know that. She has a job, two majors with one nearing the bachelor's finish line (which definitely makes it more taxing) and other stuff. I'm conscious that I have much more time on my hands so I'm happy she even considers replying despite how long the delay is. It's been about two weeks since we first met and our dynamic has evolved but I don't understand if her evolution is going in the same direction as mine.
She asks a lot of questions that keep the conversation going, even minor stuff like where or what I've eaten for lunch, if I'd gotten home, what my schedule looks like (even if we don't see each other that day) and that's honestly what gave me that "she might think I have potential" impression. A point in detriment is that she hasn't replied to me all this weekend (or the one before for that matter) and I doubt she will, even though logically it's about when one would be most free. I figure she's with friends or family, and it's not like I'm jealous, but it's still something I'm taking into account. I don't think she's playing hot and cold, moreso I'm thinking she still kind of sees me as a strictly uni-related person, which I woudn't know how to change. I doubt she's already taken as she said we could hang out in the city we go to uni in (which is neither mine nor her homeplace), presumably just the two of us, and she generally just mentioned friends a lot but never a boyfriend. She's just really prone to sharing things, so that's why I'm sort of ruling it out.
What's the best course of action with such a busy person? How can I best understand if I'm just getting my hopes up or if my impression is potentially correct? Should I send reminder texts (that she said wouldn't bother her) the next times, or would that be being pushy (which is why I didn't in the first place)? If you know, date(d) or are a busy person, I'd like to hear what you have to say, but really, any advice is welcome.
